You could win a Litter Robot 4, Petkit Purobot Ultra or a Neakasa M1 in my Movember men's health charity fundraiser. It's open to the USA, Canada, UK and most of Europe. Every penny goes to the charity. Entries close on the 9th December. Head to my website for full details and how to enter: gopb.co/mo24 Update on Perct: He is doing much better, he meowed for the first time in 5 weeks a couple of days ago, and he did again this morning. He’s actually sitting on my chest, purring right now. ❤️
I was sincerely devastated when I heard the news. I wish only the best for you and your cats, speaking as someone who's gone through the same ❤ We may just be strangers on the internet but please, please don't feel that you're alone in this. We'll make it through-you'll make it through.
It’s outrageous that AMZTOY had the audacity to request that you take down your video. That video has raised so much awareness-it’s how I discovered your amazing channel in the first place. Your content is outstanding and incredibly informative. Rest in peace, Bertie ❤ He was and is so loved. Hearing about his passing brought me to tears. I pray that you and your cats are in good health.
@@OneManFiveCats Now that would have been a good idea 😂 On the other hand, they probably would have had you sign a legal agreement of some sorts to prevent you from making it public again 🙄
I’m so sorry for your loss of Bertie. Watching a loved one get sick and deteriorating is gut wrenching. Some people don’t understand that an animal can be grieved for at the same level as one grieves the loss of a human loved one. I always cry the most when animals pass, they hold such a delicate but important place in my heart. I hope that your pain (and Percy’s) are eased with time. At the very least I hope it is comforting to know that he got to live a long life of love with far more than many cats get. Much love from across the pond ❤
In my experience, the loss of a pet hurts as much as the loss of a human loved one. The main difference (for me at least) is that the pain over losing a pet eases quicker. The night before my father's funeral, one of my bunnies died from gastrointestinal problems despite me doing my very best for hours to help her pull through. I was as devastated by her death as I was a few days before when my father died.
It's strange how so many people attribute convenience with laziness. Just because we can do a thing manually does not mean we want to/are able to do it that way if given the option lol. There are other factors to consider too. Deeply sorry for your loss. I like to think Bertie is thoroughly testing the accommodations upstairs... While also testing the patience of saints.
@@mysterysunfurled I know. I put my clothes on a line outside to dry myself during spring and summer most of the time. I do that for several reasons, but "not being lazy" isn't one of them. I always dry my towels in the dryer, not because I'm lazy but because they get nice and soft in stead of hard and rough when dried on a clothes line. When the weather is bad or too cold, I throw everything in the dryer. The thing is, using a dryer is not considered "lazy", it's "convenient".
Well I have sensory issues and when I clean litter I can puke, so I would avoid doing it and this makes it so much easier all I need to do is hold my breath, and then chuck it in the bin and my cats are happier and smell better somehow too. I also have 2 cats in a small apartment so having the 1 litter box saves space and is better for smell once I found the right litter
The Litter Robot 4 helped us recognize that one of our elderly cats was dropping weight. Got him to the vet for it. We were able to treat him and have another year with him before he gained his angel wings.
ngl I cried, I lost my cat best friend last monday to kidney failure. He was struggling with kidney problems for years and getting monthly subcutaneous treatment. My wife and I miss him dearly everyday, as does our other cat, who was best friend with him too. Seeing him calling his friend to play the first day after was heartbreaking. To Bertie and all cats, we love you
RIP Bertie. This lovely video had us in tears and I think it's a great tribute. So sorry for your loss. Thanks again for the work you do and share with everyone so openly.
Truly heartbroken for your loss. Particularly poignent for me as I lost one of mine - in fact my 'baby boy', age 5, to FIP, and it was a horrendous experience. We've also had a bout of cat-flu but thankfully only affected 1 cat and he's fine now. I really am sorry you're going through it, because I know just how it feels. Now 1 woman, 2 cats and a hole in my heart. x
Got the Litter Robot 4 because of your mega review series a while back and it's been a fantastic purchase. Thought I'd chip in a bit to say thanks for one of the most in depth (and well produced) reviews of anything I've ever watched.
So many have watched your extensive reviews on automatic litter boxes, but so few have donated even though you saved them big money or the shock of losing a pet by purchasing an inferior machine. I won't be one of the many, even though I'm on a very limited, fixed income. Thank you for what you do!
The clips of Bertie and Percy meowing sent my Burmese Bro’dee into full debate mode. I do hope your Percy finds his voice again. He clearly has strong opinions.
This video has all the hallmarks of a stellar review…I laughed, I cried, and I am now way more educated about these litter boxes than I was 36 minutes ago! As always, only the best from One Man Five Cats and his amazing and trustworthy crew of testers.❤️🐾 Rest in Peace, chief tester Bert ~ you are dearly missed.💔
These Amztoy Toilets still make me incredibly mad. Nice to see some more recommendations on non Litter Robot toilets. Even if I was able to buy one, I have friends and family that simply can't afford one, yet a Petkit Pura Max 2 would be in their budget.
I was debating between the Furrytail and LitterRoboto4, but this video officially sold us for little robot 4! Thank you for taking the time to put these videos together, they have been very helpful. I wish the whiskers $50 off applied to their bundles 😭 I'm so sorry for your loss with Bertie - I had tears streaming down my face during that section. Sending you, Percy, and all the other friends love.
Regarding the Litter Robot 4 however, I am on my second machine within a month and the current one is not working as it should, pauses several times during a cleaning cycle (even though there is no cat around to cause the pause), that is if i am around to press the reset button to over ride the pause!! If I am not around to over ride the pause, it just sticks!! Meaning it is not ready for use by either of my boys! Sometimes pausing in the open position, so there is no litter for them to use at all!! The first Robot 4 received didn't work at all!! For the cost, I am extremely dissatisfied! Has been a absolute headache!! So far, I would not recommend the Litter Robot 4!!
Sending so much love for Bertie and Percy. So sad. RIP Chief Tester. My 19 year old girl's been having her own health issues lately, and just did I-131 radiation therapy for her thyroid after dropping weight, and having a terrible reaction to the Felimazole medicine. She's recovering well, thankfully! Hopefully Percy continues to get healthy and live his golden years.
Hope this small amount helps towards costs. ❤ So sorry to hear of your troubles and loss. We all think you are great and I was in tears…reminded me of my beautiful cats whom I’ve had the absolute to keep over the many years. All remembered and loved.
I rescued a "dropped off kitten" in my backyard recently. She is now about 8-9 weeks old and after years of no cats in the house I am not about to go back to a standard litter box. She adapted immediately to a dishpan litter set up so I have time to search extensively for a good automated system. Your video was exactly what I was looking for just as I was about to opt for one that I now know I would not have been happy with. I ordered the Litter Robot 4 and got it on Monday. It was easy to set up and connect to. The kitten was not impressed but on day two she hopped in and smelled the little clumped pee ball I took from her box and commenced to covering it up. I noticed her sneak into the laundry room and when she came out of the room I checked and found that she had used it! Of course I have it turned off for now however I have run it through the manual dump and the timed auto-dump. It works quietly and efficiently, just as advertised. I did give credit to your UA-cam video when filling out the forms to set up the system. Thank you for your comments on these 6 units and your recommendation. It most assuredly saved me from getting a less satisfactory automated litter box.
I'm sorry for your loss and can't imagine how difficult it was editing the footage of your sweet boy after losing him. Thanks for another amazing video
I agree with you ,that the most expensive machine should have the basic monitoring for free. As someone who would need multiple boxes, because I have 4 cats, the thought of paying fees to monitor two or more boxes for my senior cats seems unobtainable if I'm spending the money in other ways to make sure they have the best quality of life.
Thank you again for bringing attention to the amztoy litter boxes. I had one and I never would've known the dangers without your video about them and it scares me to think what could have happened to my beloved cat who has been with me for 14+ years. I threw it away immediately and now have a litter robot 4. Not only does it work SO much better I can have peace of mind. I'd also like to point out to people who say you're lazy for buying auto boxes: not everyone can manually scoop without a ton of effort. Many disabled, chronically ill and elderly people benefit from them!
So sorry for your loss of Bertie and I am glad that Percy is doing better. Losing a companion after so many years leaves a tear in your heart that never really goes away.
I started out with the Litter Maid, twice. When the rake got stuck in a litter "ball" and i came home to a tweaking litter box rake, stressed out cats, and the floor being used as... well... i gave up. After 20 years of cleaning litter boxes I'm more than ready for another go at a bit of help with that chore.
You've earned my subscription. Thanks for the honest reviews and thoughtful testing. Big shout out to Bertie! Happy Thanksgiving!!! Ps. My cat is on the verge of death from fip and now totallyblind . My vet was no help and told us there's no cure . I recently looked up fip on UA-cam and found a cure that's been available since July 2024. The cure is incredibly expensive and is 84 doses. We bought 28 doses for $300 to see if it would help before spending the full $800 . Luckily, our cat started showing improvement after 1 dose. 21 doses later, and we're hopeful that she'll survive . Unfortunately, she is fully blind now, but at least we'll have our cat . There's a cure for fip, so that might be a topic for you to do a video on to spread the info . We asked our vet to prescribe it, but she said she had never heard of it and couldn't prescribe it to us. If we knew about this cure back in July, our cat wouldn't be skin and bones and blind. It's going to be a long recovery process because we only found out after all this neurological damage and eye damage had occurred. Anyways. Happy Thanksgiving.
Once again a great video. The combination of being a professional in camera work/documentary making and a true catlover makes for incredibly good videos that are a pleasure to watch ❤
RIP Bertie. I was so sorry to hear about his passing and I am still crying. Thank you for all this critically important information. I stumbled upon your articles while doing research on self cleaning litter boxes. I will not even consider any machine that you haven’t recommended. I hope that momentum to remove dangerous machines will continue to grow as more people become aware of litter boxes that can injure or kill cats. If no one buys them then they will have to stop making them. I love your videos/stories and will be watching them all the time.
Thank you so much for bringing continued awareness regarding these dangerous litter boxes. Thank you for sharing Marie’s story. We love and miss her dearly. Condolences on Bertie’s passing.
i didnt expect to cry at a litter box review video. i am so sorry for your loss -- bertie (and all of your pals) will be patiently waiting for you on the other side, i am absolutely certain of it.
I'm so sorry. 💔 One of my childhood cats just passed from chronic illness and acute kidney injury, she was also over 17. More than half my age we had her. I'm very sorry for your loss.
It's the worst thing when a pet starts acting wrong. My boy Hooey one day suddenly tried peeing on the floor next to his box even though the litter was just changed and he seemed to struggle with it, crying and shaking. And then I noticed the urine was red. There weren't any vets open on Sunday because why would there be so it was a hard night of monitoring him and listening to him cry in pain. Got him in immediately the next day and the vet said he had a bladder blockage that made it swell near to the size of a softball and we were probably hours away from it rupturing by the time we got him there. He thankfully made a full recovery and it was never an issue since.
Thanks for making your video’s, i’m about to receive my first litterbox thanks to your reviews! I’ve watched all your video’s. And i was very sorry to hear about your best friend passing away, RIP Bertie. 😢 The video’s of them together made me cry. Its always so sad to have to let them go. Hope you and all your other kitties are doing well now ❤
So sorry to hear about Bertie … I LOVED the clip about Percy lying with his head on Bertie, heart breaking. Animals grieve just as we do. Thanks so much for this video as well as the Neakasa M1 which I bought on a Black Friday sale (Canada). I haven’t received it yet but am hopeful that my two cats (Daffy and Foxy) will take to the open concept of this box.
I'm so sorry for your and Percy's loss. I'm glad he's meowing again. Thank you for the informative videos they have helped me made better choices for my 2 kitties.
My heartfelt condolences and i am so sorry for your loss ... It always hurts like a mother when our beloved pets leave us. I recently lost one of my own cats to (sadly) unknown health issues. About 2 months ago i had to put her down; she was suffering (probably a heart condition) but she also had something "blocking" her digestive trackt and she lost weight so rapidly that she could not recover. On the day of her heart x-ray appointment she died in my arms, at home, in peace, but my other cat never recovered from the loss and she is a mental wreck now ... poor baby. She was much like Bertie a "standing while peeing" girl and she could discover any weak spots in any kind of cat litter box! I miss her and her meows too ... She was the cheerful one and she made my home noisy and lively and now the silence of my home almost suffocates me ... But they live on in our hearts and minds and Bertie is immortalized by your wonderful videos!!! So, so sorry for your loss! 🫂😢😭
@@OneManFiveCats Thank you so much. Her name was Bubbles, because she was always the bubbly one and she made tiny little bubbles on her nose and mouth when purring and cuddling with me. 🥺☺
@@OneManFiveCats She was absolutely adorable and very vocal and she was better at playing fetch then my dog! ^^ I could always read her mood on her cute little face, she was very expressive with her face and body language, almost like a human child ... i miss her so very much, i always thought that she would outlive me and my other cat bc she was actually always very healthy ... 😮💨🥺😢
Oh, I am so sad about Berty’s passing. I shed so many tears. After all your videos, it feels like we have lost a dear friend as well. 😢 You helped him have the most magnificent life with you. Thank you for sharing your love for him with us all. He will definitely live on in all the beautiful videos you have taken. Your videos are such an incredible resource. Thank you for all you post online.
Hi, I don't know if this will help you, but I had a cat who struggled to gain weight due to an illness and what I did was to make her a special supplementary food composed of beef drippings, tuna, eggs, broth, chicken hearts, and chicken livers. My recipe was to take 1lb of the fattiest ground beef you could get and make burgers for humans on a broiler pain, then collect the grease. Put the grease into the blender with 1 large can of tuna, 1 chicken heart, and 2 chicken livers, then blend until smooth. Put into a pot on the stove top and add broth and 2 eggs. Stir and add broth slowly until it forms to the consistency of cake batter. Make sure it's cooked through. It'll set up a bit in the fridge, so make it slightly runnier than you think it needs to be. I would then put it into a syringe and squirt 5-10ml into her mouth 5-6 times per day. She pulled through and lived 5 more years and she didn't lose an ounce after the day I started her on this weight gain regimen. I'm not a veterinarian, but I have worked in animal rehab and cared for many sick pets. I hope your cats pull through and my condolences for the poor baby who did not. 💙
I'm so sorry for your loss of Bertie. I enjoyed seeing him in your videos and continue to look forward to seeing him in your videos for as long as the footage lasts. Last month I purchased a Furrytail box for my two cats and so far I have been quite pleased with it. It has been quite entertaining to see my cats adjust to the box. One of them, Binx, loves to watch and slap the clumps as they slide along the barrel during the cleaning cycle which leads to triggering the sensors multiple times as the poor box is trying to run a cleaning cycle.
there is nothing some rando on youtube can say to make you feel better so I'll just say, I'm sorry Bertie is gone, and I respect what you have done for the cat parents of the world. I'm so happy to hear Percy is doing better, here's to many more happy years together.
I’m so sorry for the passing of your Bertie. My male Siamese was my best friend also and I still grieve him 8 years after his passing. There will never be another cat like my boy. 😞
So very sorry that you've lost your beloved Bertie. Percy will be missing his brother. People forget that animals grieve too. We had two half-Bengals given to me by a work colleague as kittens. We lost Harley in October 2023. He'd been attending the vet for some months but passed away peacefully at home. We lost his brother in April this year after he suffered a massive stroke. Harley was 19 when he passed and Benji was just shy of his 20th birthday. They too were very vocal and the house has been quiet without them even though we've got 8 other cats. They will always be missed as they were such wonderful characters. We have a Litter Robot 3 which is still going strong and a Puramax, also still going strong. Our cats love them as they have clean litter all the time. The only thing we have to do is use unscented litter as one of our cats refuses to use the scented type. I'm in my late 60s with health issues and my son has a genetic form of arthritis so our robot litter boxes really help. Happy cats and happy humans.
I am so sorry for your loss of beautiful Bertie. I was beside myself when I unexpectedly had my boy Dobby pass a little over a year ago. I think about and miss him every day, and I know you will feel the same about your Bertie. It was just his time to test some heaven litters, because he truly was the best tester. I am also pro-auto litter. If it wasn't for my Petkit Pura X, my other cat most likely wouldn't be here today. It was is usage tracking that first alerted me something was not right. He had to go through multiple procedures to get him back to health, and he's a happy, alive, and healthy boy thanks to the robot litter's assistance allowing fast detection at the first sign of issues.
The Neakasa M1 hands down by far the best unit. I've spent $$$$ on several of these and this is the first one out of the box that the cats used on their own, worked correctly, cleaned well etc etc. This is our 4 cats pick !
Thank you, Philip, for another incredibly produced video. I own 3 cats and have no plans to get an automatic litter box, but I will continue to watch your videos because they're so damn well made On a separate note, have you heard of the Petgugu Smart Cat Toilet? It's not out yet however is the only truly self cleaning litter box because it automatically flushes it self. The only downside is that it requires flushable litter. I know that you have said that making this serious is quite expensive, which is fair, since you don't accept sponsorships from the machines themselves. However you could start making videos about other, less expensive cat items, like the best toys perhaps? I will watch anything you produce simply because of how mesmerizing your film making technique is. It's clear from watching your videos that you're a professional filmmaker who just does this as a hobby
Thank you. Yes, Petgugu tried to hire me a while ago, but they didn’t answer any of my many questions. Also it’s not allowed to flush cat poo down the toilet due to Toxaplasmosis. They had an Indiegogo going last year and had two backers after 2 weeks, then suddenly the page vanished. They were asking for way too much money! You are forgetting the Cat Genie, my first self cleaning machine with its washabable litter. The downside is the 30 minute cleaning/ drying cycle.
Automation is the future and some people have busier jobs than others. My first pet safe litter box helped tremendously even though the crystal trays took some work to replace. I’d recommend the higher dollar ones where you can pull the tray out and easily replace the disposable bag.
Vale Bertie, fly high beautiful boy ❤ Thanks again Philip for creating yet another litter box comparison film that somehow manages to be tearjerker 😅 I’ve had a PetSafe ScoopFree for the past 6 months, which was provided free of charge for a local review site here in Australia. It’s a much cheaper option, about AU$400 (US$260) for a basic open tray with raking mechanism, no smart functionality at all. It worked ok for the first few months but the main mechanism is getting out of sync due to the cheap plastic construction of the drive system. It’s a shame all these litter boxes are so grossly overpriced for what they are, whether they’re ‘cheaper’ options or premium units that actually work properly like the Litter Robot. I’d love one of those, but at AU$1600 in Australia (much more expensive than they are in the US) it’s just a reach too far.
Iam sorry for you loss 😢 Normaly i just laugh whrn watching your Videos but there is always a first time for crying. The Chief Tester will be rwmembered and missed ❤
This video came recommended just in time. I just got one for Christmas, not the killer kind, but still a cheaper drop-shipped one. I'll be testing it thoroughly for safety before I introduce my kitten to it.
very helpful video as I've just upgraded from a 1 cat to 2 indoor cat household so I'm looking at automated options I love the intermitent cat chaos in the clips. I'm so sorry about Bertie, he had a good long life and was loved until the end
Heartfelt condolences for the loss of Bertie. Great to read that Percy is doing much better as well. I've ordered via a Facebook Ad, a very cheap automatic litterbox, that now that I see this, I'm glad never arrived. I ordered via paypal and received a refund. After looking at where the money actually went, as it is an 'American' address, I discovered it was a Chinese product and I don't expect it to ever be delivered. So I've looked on Amazon about getting a Litter Robot 4, after watching all of your reviews on these machines, as well as videos of a similar nature, I figured it to be the best. The cost is really a bother to me as at $1500+ Australian Dollars, it's a big leap for me to pay on a disabled pensioners money. But I'm saving as I'd like my 16 year old kitty girl, Bella, to not only use it, but be safe as well. Thank you for making these videos. I not only enjoy watching your cats, but your comments as well.
Oh, I cried to hear about Bertie. One of mine is a Siamese, and you can never replace their sweet talking. Thank you for this. Now that I have three kittehs, I am looking to add another automatic litter box to my LR 3. Not sure I want to purchase another LR 4, so I turned to you to help figure out what I'm going to buy next. I live in a three floor townhouse, so I need one for each level basically. So this one I will put in my 3rd floor office, and I am thinking of an open one. I'm going to really study today and make a decision thanks to your video.
Fantastic video as usual, Philip! You are creating great content in a niche market for a very common problem, and more people are slowly finding them extremely informative and useful. And sharing in your love for your pets is an added and heartwarming bonus. Bless you for all you do. RIP Bertie and best wishes for the rest. We had to say goodbye to two of our senior cats (Josie and Vegas) in two years, to lymphoma and various health issues, and it's never easy. Much love.
Thank you for all your efforts in reviewing many automated litterboxes. Sorry to hear about your Bertie. In our home, we have 3 automated litterboxes. For the longest time, Litter Robot 3 was our top one, been using it for about 4 years now. Much as we want the newer version, that remains so expensive. Then we came across a crowd funding project for Choueer a couple of years ago and ordered that, it was good for awhile, I liked that it is open overhead, but it eventually got never ending issues, we can still use it but no longer automatic, still responds to manual app control so it still has its uses. Our new stray kitties likes using it. Then just this week during Black Friday we got a good deal for Neakasa M1 priced at $399, now that is a good price and came with 2 free rolls of litter liner and a rubber litter mat to catch those litter scatter. So far this one is now our number one, all the cats like it since it is much wider entrance and open overhead, very good app interface as well. But we will see, got to see how it goes in the coming weeks. With all this litterboxes we also bought its add on stairwell (for LR3) and step stool litter catcher for the other two machines. Got to anticipate, in time these kitties will also age and will need some help going in and out the machines. For LR3 we also got then a litter guard so litter being kicked out is lessened; for Choueer we found a 3rd party seller who makes 3D printed litter guard. For Neakasa M1, still observing that if we will need one, though I do see the etsy seller is already doing some litter guard prototypes so that is something to consider later. But for now, Neakasa M1 seems not to need it yet. But we still keep 2 regular plastic litterboxes, one of our furry babies remains old school, absolutely abhors any motorized litterbox...oh well..
35 minutes? Let's make a nice cuppa first. It's cold and windy very wet outside, me and my pets are inside, nice and cosy and warm. On the couch with my tea, streaming YT to my big screen, time to watch a video 😊
I'm so sorry for your loss! Gosh, it's always terrible to lose a pet, doesn't matter how old they were. :c When my family lost our pet dog Flip at the strong age of 16 despite him being a terrier-retriever mix and having the typical retriever hip issues, we were all devastated. It's never easy. I heard once the pain doesn't go away, it just becomes different. As for the reviews, the Neakasa intrigues me. I know one of my cats has experiences with the Petkit Pura Max 2 because the foster she stayed at for several months had one of those (among a ton of traditional litter boxes) but the other one? No clue at all. Her past is mostly a mystery to me because the rescue didn't know much either and she was given up at the vet instead of the rescue itself. So I have no clue if she has used closed litterboxes in the past since they had open ones at the rescue and I only used open ones for her. What both do though is: they dig a lot! (Thank you for addressing the issue in your video as well and which machines have replaceable parts. Hmm. Gives me something to think about.) Maybe a bit of a dumb question: Do any of these machines register the RFID chip for identification in the app like the Surefeed does? Since small rescues in my countries always chip rescue cats, both of mine already had a chip when I got them, which honestly is great because I also have Surefeed machines for the both of them. Both my cats are rather similar in weight - one of them 3.5 kg, the other 3.8 kg so that feels like an app that's not super exact might think it's the same cat, right? A bit of a dilemma. (I love technology and you sure put my head on straight about these machines. And you're also so right that ease of cleaning is important. Personally, I'm not a very strong person so having to hold something heavy up to clean it is frankly not an option for me.)
Thank you and sorry for your loss. 😔 No machines read microchips due to how close to the skin the readers need to be. Whisker are coming out with RFID tags next year but there camera will be a better option…as long as they let us change a wrongly identified cat! You don’t need to hold anything heavy up. The cylinders are all pretty light.
I’m very sorry for your loss. You’ve given an amazing life and lots of care & love to dear Bertie. I’ve been following your videos for years and I always appreciated your emphasis on safety when it comes to these devices. None of the devices you’ve put through the test and found safe was available in my country so far, so I refrained from getting one. Recently UBTech became available under a different name in my country and I recognized it from your videos, and found out its sold by a distrubitor thus the different name. Supposedly it has the app and wifi support. Thank you for the in depth reviews!
First i want to say i am so sorry for your loss! Thats terrible news. I just lost my wonderful cat Kahalua earlier this year and it was heartbreaking. I had her for 13 years. I feel your pain. Anyways I am really sorry my heart goes out to you!💜💜💜 Secondly I would like to say to all those people who are just trolling you and say that these self cleaning catboxes are not for real pet owners that is a bunch of BS! I have Epilepsy and I cannot always get to the catbox to clean them after having seizures because my body os so much pain. So having help with that is beneficial to my needs. Anyone who says these things is just a troll and looking to start drama. I think they get off by making people angry and causing arguments. And lastly I have been a loyal fan of the Catgenie ever since I first purchased the first one they came out with a very long time ago. I recently purchased the new Catgenie AI after my baby Kahalua died I decided to adopt two kittens who are sisters from the Oregon Humane Society and they took to it right away. I had to wait until they were 6 months old to use it at least thats what the Catgenie support says because by then their poop would be not as wet so it would clump better with the litter granuals. But I do love the Catgenie AI and their app is very easy to use. I do wish it had the feature where it could let me know at least the weight of each cat thats using it instead of just letting me know "somone" has used the cat box. Hopefully they will change that in the future. But like I said I have Epilepsy and the Catgenie, since it washes the litter I am glad it also does that. And I live in a very small apartment on my own so deep cleaning isnt somethin I cannot do as well. Lastly I LOVE your videos and am so happy to see each one you post! Your so helpful to others and the last one you did I definitely shared kn my FB to warn others out there about the dangers of those deadly cat boxes. I hope you have a wonderful day!
This has been wonderful to watch. I am looking to change to these type of kitty litters. This has a lot to do with my physical health lifting and moving my kitty litters. So sorry about your boy. ❤❤❤❤❤
I’m so happy your last video hit over a mil. Everyone needs to see that video. Thank you again for doing what you do and sharing this priceless information.
My 18 year old cat Roy passed away recently . He was my best friend. This video broke my heart. I know we don't know each other but you're in my thoughts. I know it's so hard for you right now and pray for healing for you.
I’ve been waiting for u to review PetKit Purobot Ultra. Thanks for this video! And very sorry for your loss. I hope u will consider making a standalone review of Purobot Ultra
Thanks to your OG video on these, we have 2 Litter Robot 4s (used your code for the second one). And I will never go back. Even though our sometimes have minor issues. Like the app not functioning properly.
Superb as always, thank you!! Indeed, it's subjective the "need" for an automatic litterbox. If i only had one or two cats I'd likely never have invested. 4 or more it's a definite advantage. With the price, again subjective. I'm over 50 years with 6 cats. That's alot of time bent over and cleaning regular boxes. So my investment of 2 - LR3's at first and then 2 - LR4's - I have at present is definitely worth it. For their sake as well as my own. Of course, it's expensive. I say, if you can't afford 4 or more cats for their ultimate health and safety, then likely you shouldn't own that many cats. But then, many would lambaste me for such an opinion. Personally, I don't care. Cats need as much care and attention as dogs and just because they are smaller, therefore, easier to have more - feeding them their natural diet, maintaining their individual health concerns, and attending their waste boxes is...expensive. would you mind terribly if I asked what litter you use? I've used Else's for a while as it really does seem to have less "dust" but I still find my cats wheezy. Any suggestions? Thanks again for all you do! Just outstanding reviews and videos! I will miss Bert too, but so grateful you'll keep him with us in videos! Smiles and blessings...
That litter hopper is amazing! I appreciate this video! I have been thinking about which one to get, and this is very helpful. Your cats are beautiful.
You could win a Litter Robot 4, Petkit Purobot Ultra or a Neakasa M1 in my Movember men's health charity fundraiser. It's open to the USA, Canada, UK and most of Europe. Every penny goes to the charity. Entries close on the 9th December.

Update on Perct: He is doing much better, he meowed for the first time in 5 weeks a couple of days ago, and he did again this morning.
@@OneManFiveCats I'm glad to read about Percy doing better 🥰
This is wonderful news!!
I’m so happy to hear this news!
So wonderful to hear!!!
Outrageous is an understatement 😡 The audacity they have to make such a request so their sale of killing machines isn't harmed is unbelievable.
Thank you. I should have taken their money and given it to a cat charity and kept the video up after making it private briefly!
@@OneManFiveCats Now that would have been a good idea 😂 On the other hand, they probably would have had you sign a legal agreement of some sorts to prevent you from making it public again 🙄
Nice to know that AMZTOY thinks money is more important than the lives of their customers. I'm literally livid at their attitude.
Agreed!!! Looking for reviews on Amztoy is how I found this amazing channel. (I have 4 cats and one fiance hahaha)
First Claire lovecat general who was also a Siamese and now this handsome fella, it feels so depressing 😢😢 poor thing
@@echo3874 I wonder if these people have a dryer or if they take the time to hang their clothes on a line to dry 🙄
@@nomennescio7571many people do that, maybe not where you live. Doesn't mean it's not happening
To Bertie and all cats, we love you
@@MrBurnlan thank you. I am so sorry for your loss. 💔
Now 1 woman, 2 cats and a hole in my heart. x
Thank you. Am so sorry for your loss. 5 is way too young. 😔
Got the Litter Robot 4 because of your mega review series a while back and it's been a fantastic purchase. Thought I'd chip in a bit to say thanks for one of the most in depth (and well produced) reviews of anything I've ever watched.
Thank you!
So many have watched your extensive reviews on automatic litter boxes, but so few have donated even though you saved them big money or the shock of losing a pet by purchasing an inferior machine. I won't be one of the many, even though I'm on a very limited, fixed income.
Thank you for what you do!
Wow, thank you!🙂
The clips of Bertie and Percy meowing sent my Burmese Bro’dee into full debate mode. I do hope your Percy finds his voice again. He clearly has strong opinions.
This video has all the hallmarks of a stellar review…I laughed, I cried, and I am now way more educated about these litter boxes than I was 36 minutes ago!
As always, only the best from One Man Five Cats and his amazing and trustworthy crew of testers.❤️🐾
Rest in Peace, chief tester Bert ~ you are dearly missed.💔
These Amztoy Toilets still make me incredibly mad. Nice to see some more recommendations on non Litter Robot toilets. Even if I was able to buy one, I have friends and family that simply can't afford one, yet a Petkit Pura Max 2 would be in their budget.
I was debating between the Furrytail and LitterRoboto4, but this video officially sold us for little robot 4! Thank you for taking the time to put these videos together, they have been very helpful. I wish the whiskers $50 off applied to their bundles 😭
I'm so sorry for your loss with Bertie - I had tears streaming down my face during that section. Sending you, Percy, and all the other friends love.
Thank you. The $50 off should work with their bundles too, it did when I checked.
@@OneManFiveCats Oh! You are right. It's the custom bundle that's not working on for me.
@ I’ve put a new link in the description. It’s still $100 but I get a bit from it. 🙂
@ I’ve had the opposite experience. Has it been easy to get customer service to sort it?
Are you on a flat hard surface?
Sending so much love for Bertie and Percy. So sad. RIP Chief Tester. My 19 year old girl's been having her own health issues lately, and just did I-131 radiation therapy for her thyroid after dropping weight, and having a terrible reaction to the Felimazole medicine. She's recovering well, thankfully! Hopefully Percy continues to get healthy and live his golden years.
Thank you. I hope your girl keeps going!
You’re the best cat Daddy ever. Bless your Bertie & Percy
Hope this small amount helps towards costs. ❤ So sorry to hear of your troubles and loss. We all think you are great and I was in tears…reminded me of my beautiful cats whom I’ve had the absolute to keep over the many years. All remembered and loved.
Thank you so much. 🙂
Condolences on the passing of Bertie from a Lifelong Cat Lady. Thx 4 ur reviews. I have 9 cats at present. 1 is 15 yo n rest are mostly about 7 yrs.
RIP sweet Bertie. Really sorry for your loss.
I have just spent 5 minutes crying!! I am so sorry for your loss!
sorry :(
To buy Percy some treats from us
Thank you!
great video. I have a Litter Robot 4 and now I have somewhere to send friends who are just amazed
So sorry for your loss of Bertie and I am glad that Percy is doing better. Losing a companion after so many years leaves a tear in your heart that never really goes away.
Sorry to hear about Bertie. What a handsome man he was. Just lost our sweet girl Milli, and the world doesn't feel right without her.
I am so sorry about loss. 😔
I'm so sorry for your Bertie. Thank you for all your very useful tests and videos.
Thank you 😊
I’m so sorry for your loss. Thank you for your thorough reviews and witty comments. ❤
Thank you River, much appreciated.
Condolences from my Floof Empire, sorry to hear he passed but he had a great life thanks to you! From 5 Emporesses and a Queen.
i didnt expect to cry at a litter box review video. i am so sorry for your loss -- bertie (and all of your pals) will be patiently waiting for you on the other side, i am absolutely certain of it.
Excellent reviews, thank you very much. I am truly sorry for your loss of Bertie, and my heart goes out to you and Percy.
Thank you Sean
So sorry to hear of your loss. Each of our babies are so much members of our family.
RIP Berti. This is the first video of yours ive seen, and its a sad one.
I am so sorry for your loss of Bertie. I hope Percy continues to improve both physically and emotionally.
Thank you. He seems to be doing well. He’s now gone over 4kg from a low of 3.2Kg after Bertie died.
I'm so sorry. 💔 One of my childhood cats just passed from chronic illness and acute kidney injury, she was also over 17. More than half my age we had her. I'm very sorry for your loss.
I am so sorry. 💔
im so sorry for your loss, thank you for giving your bestie a long life loved
Thanks!
Thanks Matt ❤
I am so so sorry for your loss. What was her name? 😔
@@OneManFiveCats Thank you so much. Her name was Bubbles, because she was always the bubbly one and she made tiny little bubbles on her nose and mouth when purring and cuddling with me. 🥺☺
@ she sounded adorable. 💔
You helped him have the most magnificent life with you.
I’m so sorry for your loss. I’m giving you and Percy all my love!!
Thank you. Much appreciated.
Happy cats and happy humans.
thank you. I am so sorry for your loss. I always use unscented litter, I actually find it often holds the smell better.
"*best unit that I've tried"
Thank you, Philip, for another incredibly produced video. I own 3 cats and have no plans to get an automatic litter box, but I will continue to watch your videos because they're so damn well made
On a separate note, have you heard of the Petgugu Smart Cat Toilet?
Sorry for your loss. Thanks for testing for us Berty!!
I lost my own 19 year old man Jack in January, and I'm still broke up about it.
Automation is the future and some people have busier jobs than others. My first pet safe litter box helped tremendously even though the crystal trays took some work to replace. I’d recommend the higher dollar ones where you can pull the tray out and easily replace the disposable bag.
Vale Bertie, fly high beautiful boy ❤
Thanks again Philip for creating yet another litter box comparison film that somehow manages to be tearjerker 😅 I’ve had a PetSafe ScoopFree for the past 6 months, which was provided free of charge for a local review site here in Australia.
Thank you very much. I appreciate it.
I'll be testing it thoroughly for safety before I introduce my kitten to it.
very helpful video as I've just upgraded from a 1 cat to 2 indoor cat household so I'm looking at automated options
I love the intermitent cat chaos in the clips.
R I P Bertie. He was a real one, for testing catboxes. He's peeing up Gods walls, now. 🙏
It’s been raining today. I’m sure that’s Bertie’s doing! ❤
Perfect timing for Xmas shopping 🛍
We will all miss Bertie! Hope Percy gets his spirit back up!
So sorry for your loss just loss my George it's heart breaking
Hmm. Gives me something to think about.)
Maybe a bit of a dumb question: Do any of these machines register the RFID chip for identification in the app like the Surefeed does?
No machines read microchips due to how close to the skin the readers need to be. Whisker are coming out with RFID tags next year but there camera will be a better option…as long as they let us change a wrongly identified cat!
You don’t need to hold anything heavy up. The cylinders are all pretty light.
So sorry for your loss. We bought litter robot 4 and internal plug was cracked. Returning to Amazon, hopefully will find alternative or try again.
Thank you. You should get another one!
Bertie has a very adorable face.
Perfect timing! Was watching your old vids to research which to buy for black friday
I’m so sorry to hear of your loss. That’s heartbreaking but I’m glad they lived a long life. 🤗
I’m so sorry to hear about Bertie. 😢 They are all special but that doesn’t mean we don’t miss them when they are gone. I lost two this year.
Thank you. I am so sorry, that is awful. 😔
This has been wonderful to watch. I am looking to change to these type of kitty litters. This has a lot to do with my physical health lifting and moving my kitty litters. So sorry about your boy. ❤❤❤❤❤
I’m so sorry for your loss.
I’m so happy your last video hit over a mil. Everyone needs to see that video. Thank you again for doing what you do and sharing this priceless information.
Thanks!

I’m so sorry about your loss.
My 18 year old cat Roy passed away recently . He was my best friend. This video broke my heart. I know we don't know each other but you're in my thoughts. I know it's so hard for you right now and pray for healing for you.
@@feliciakirsch2373 thank you Felicia. I am so sorry about Roy. 💔😔

I'm so sorry for your loss!! (I also have a Percy.). They are all precious, especially those siblings.
Thanks!
Thank you!
Omg rest in peace bertie ☹️❤️ and i hope percy keeps up with his speedy recovery!!
Oh Bertie you poor sweet boy, RIP handsome man
