I get the 2 point discussion, but the true moment(s) of truth happened in OT, on key 3rd downs. Payton entrusted Nix to make those throws to Franklin (first possession) and Trautman (second possession), but Nix faltered on both occasions. If Nix makes those throws, no one is questioning the decision to go for 2.
You go for two when you are the underdog, have been outplayed during the game, and are playing away. Maybe they don't get it but would we have blamed them for going for it?
I thought for sure they were going for 2, and I wouldn't even be mad if they failed. That Mims catch was a miracle and we had about 5 in that game already
Seems like Sean gets super conservative when things get tight. It was clear Bengals were playing to win and Denver just goes into a shell. So frustrating.
Problem with the 2 pt conversion for the win is the defense is willing to slap, hold, interfere and do whatever to keep you from scoring. A penalty could be called and the ball moved up a couple feet but it is worth the gamble. There is also a probability that the Ref doesn't even throw the flag.
Plus I think they noticed that if Williams was in the play it was going to be a passing play. I don’t think he ran the ball once. We became extremely predictable.
We put it all on Bo’s shoulders and he delivered. I’m happy with this season. No regrets, let’s move on, beat those Chiefs, lose to the next team facing us and call it a good season :) next year Broncos will be monsters ..
I respect the Broncos, im a Buffalo Bills fan Go Buffalo Mob Goodfellas Go Bill's God bless. Bill's fans from Philadelphia Go Buffalo Mob Goodfellas Go Bill's 🤌🤌🤌💯🦬🦬🦬💯 I think Bo Nix is a little like Qb Josh Allen not as Big & can't run over Lb's but Denver has a future. Go Buffalo look Forward to Buffalo @ home vs Denver. The Broncos will beat kc in mile high with Kc backup's. Go Buffalo mob Goodfellas Go Bill's 🤌💯🦬🦬🦬💯👍one game at a time Sky is the limit getting healthy. Qb Josh Allen his accuracy got way better with Oc cord Joe Brady & working his butt off he's awesome Go Buffalo Mob 🤌 God bless. Bo should work with Qb Jordan Palmer to on better accuracy.
Payton made bad decisions in this game. You do not play for a tie, that is like playing prevent defense. The fact he was conservative in overtime and not working to get another set of downs, gave the ball back. If you are not willing to go out and try to win outright, stay home for the playoffs. These cornerbacks playing the receiver versus the ball and not looking back when the receiver does is another bad mistake, tackling has gotten bad in the NFL, nobody wants to wrap up the legs and trying to arm tackle gets the runner another 5-10 yards. Without the legs, you go nowhere.
This was just another game that makes me question SP. He’s a great coach to chance the culture but I question the play calling duties. Also we get a fumble in the 4th near the 50 and Nix throws a pick???? Just horrid
Bo Knows✌️
Last 2 losses on Sean
Sean needs to hold himself accountable

Nope, it’s stupid
If they had gone for two and missed, there would have been hell to pay. And they would have missed.
De Mac u are the best

You go for two anyway. Payton is supposed to have a playbook full of special plays, right?
Plus I think they noticed that if Williams was in the play it was going to be a passing play. I don’t think he ran the ball once. We became extremely predictable.
Great point. Defenses know Payton’s tendencies well - TOO well - and Payton isn’t doing enough to keep them off balance.

Someone please tell coach Payton you play the game to win -- not to tie. If Payton doesn't know this, it's time to retire.
