Some of the seasonal artifact mods should become fragments. And yes, Vex needs to return to being a 390.
Vex going back down to 360 rpm single-handedly killed its viability in PvP. Igneous Hammer with golden tricorn and radiant outshines nearly everything now. The same goes for SMGS and how dominant they still are. Vex used to be "fun".
I don't think the artifact mods need to become fragments,radiant is the easiest of all buffs to acquire equally on all subclasses through torches and solar subclasses are very strong in themselves already,compare that to unraveling or volatile rounds which require a kill with melee and grenade respectively to proc without an exotic or devour and woven mail that require an orb except on warlock for devour or woven mail on titan intrinsically through the subclass.Radiant is already very strong and easy to proc.We don't need more fragments to make it even better.
@@charles2183 Honestly, I just really prefer gunplay to abilities so being able to proc radiant with weapons has been amazing.
@@charles2183 I said “should” rather than “need to.” Besides, Bungie has turned mods into fragments in the past (most notably Spark of Instinct. It used to be a mod called Reactive Pulse before it got removed with surges and armor charges in Lightfall). Also, just because Solar subclasses are strong doesn’t mean they shouldn’t get new fragments and whatnot. Case in point, Ember of Mercy and Ember of Resolve were both added in Season of Defiance with Lightfall, which came MONTHS after Solar 3.0 was introduced. And besides, artifact mods becoming fragments only serve to give you more powerful build potential, so what gives?
@@hans8663 i'm not saying solar subclasses shouldnt get fragments or artifact mods becoming fragments is something new,what i meant is radiant is far easier to proc than the other buffs equally on all solar subclasses so if it gets even more easier to proc other subclasses should get the same buff or neither get buffed.
I wish it worked like revision, getting the linear energy on crit hits would feel way better imo.
Basically like quick silver which has vastly outshined it for quite some time, it really would make the weapon feel more consistent and worthwhile for end-game content.

@@leahcim6663 Quicksilver already exist and basically does mythos job better. Being able to get a free super shot by just landing hits makes QS vastly outperform mytho.

Vex Mythoclast makes my triple fusion build pop. Briar’s, Vex and Scatter Signal with Rain of Fire is all your shots make you radiant and it shreds. Reloading all your guns with one Icarus Dash is strong af
You can also swap scatter signal for riptide so you can stun overloads and unstops then deal with barrier with radiant!
That's why Rain of Fire is used in high end DPS by day 1 and speed runners. The ability to bypass reloads is top tier.
This is my build also and I’ll never take it off.
keep in mind you don't need a fusion for the reload aspect of it, I'm sure ur already aware but wanted to lyk just in case u weren't!

I would like to see it get its 390 rpm reverted, but I saw someone say that it should get onslaught as a part of the catalyst and that would be perfect. Would make it so you need to earn the high rpm in PVP so the 3 people who thought it was overpowered before can be happy
All 360 autos should be 390 tbh since they are all terrible.
The three people can fuck off, auto rifles are not competitive in any way and even a 390 vex doesn’t stack up to the meta weapons.

honestly the only people who thought it was overpowered just didn't know how to play the game. theres times I'd go on tears with it and people would switch and still be at the bottom. but if they used a handcannon, 340 pulse, smg etc. and actually know how the map works id be toast. when I got in real player lobbies I'd find myself switching off it alot because it was mostly a uphill battle unless I got them to commit.
@@JoeMama-qt5go Only op thing about Mytho is the lfr mode. Nerfing the rpm didn't fix the problem with it since if you manage to get it active your mostly unbeatable.
I know mythoclast needed some help to come back into relevancy, but i find it funny that it got buffed to "feel more like a swiss army knife" when Revision Zero is already the "swiss army knife exotic" lol
Sadly, I don't know how but after 0 runs of VoG I somehow still don't have it, rng is a pain.

@handsomeDRAC did try and do nezerac, then someone complained that no one was communicating when to run to the platforms yet idk how I'm supposed to say that during an encounter, on a timer and on console (who can't evan say gg at the end of a game, due to the activity end leader board prompt taking it over)

You should review tyranny of heaven now. With the dragonfly and incandescent, and adding solar surge artifacts. This weapon can literally wipe out almost entire whole mob of enemies.

@@ThomasTheTankEngine22not really. For dps it would be meaningless compared to Wolfpack rounds and for GMs it would be decent but nothing too crazy. It is still the equivalent of a special linear, which is vastly outshined by heavy ones and those aren't even on par with rockets at the moment so I don't see a problem with providing such a change
@@julioforessi1336 yeah no. If far out classes any special ammo linear fusion. Because it already does what they do AND is also a good primary weapon. People used sleeper because the DPS was killer. People used Arbalest because it destroyed shields and had intrinsic anti-barrier. Vex can shred ads, and destroy champs. AND you can still use a rocket launcher and get Wolfpack rounds. That's more than enough. What y'all want is to make it essentially a power weapon too. And then y'all will just get it nerfed into the ground.
I wish that they would noticed 1k voices being left behind, as an alrounder weapon its completly overshadowed by eyes of tomorrow since it got buffed and nobody plays eyes. Even before eyes got buffed it was still a slightly stronger do to slightly better ammo economy and its dmg perk, would have been the perfect season to give 1k some love. The wishwall would have been a great potential sources to get a cata anyway.
For real. 1k needs a MASSIVE ammo reserves buff. Like at LEAST double it.
the dev team cannot find a way to buff 1k without breaking it. That’s why they haven’t buffed it or added a catalyst yet.
Rain of Fire Warlock build with Vex is really fun to play - no reloads!
I busted Vex out the first week of the season when I started unlocked some of the good mods in the Artifact. I had forgotten how good it felt. Knowing it’s buffed like this now, I’m gonna play with it even more!! Awesome Vid!!
Having to get kills to get the linear shots makes Polaris lance a better option
They both are good!!! Polaris is good for distance fights, while Mythoclast is good for un close while being able to deal big chunks to champs!!!
They serve two totally different purposes.
Polaris Lance is amazing but it really isn't a close range gun. Its amazing for pinking from afar and setting fire to the world but Vex is a medium range monster while it does need kills to trigger its LFR shots its good at killing red bars for that and great at yellow bars especially champions.
They do different things and that is ok. D2 isn't about having a single best gun that does everything remember.
Depends on your playstyle and group.

Well get ready to see an increase of usage of vex in pvp now regardless of there being no change to it
Revision Zeros biggest issue is it's a kinetic weapon. Most builds are so dependant on slemental synergy the kinetic slot is basically useless if it's not stasis or strand.
It's not useless,it's a utility and activity dependent slot when on a light subclass such as dps rotations or anti champ weapons.The issue with revision zero is that wish ender outclasses it so much that it's not worth it as an anti barrier exotic or even long range adclear as wish ender oneshots every red bar no matter the level of content.
Kinetic does 15% more damage than strand and stasis.
Wish ender is also kinetic. You’ll use both for barriers
I used Revision for the Cosmodrome GM, it fucking destroys barriers just as efficiently as Wishender. Both are viable for endgame, people just need to give it a chance, assuming they have all the intrinsic upgrades and the catalysts.

Would be amazing if vex get particle descontruction as a intrinsic perk, like after landing 4 HS on a target

yea true but then they should change it and have it be 100% instead of 40%. then they should have it automatically apply radiant and 4x surge mods when you do that too

Chill Clip Riptide with Vex with the seasonal mods means you can stun every champion in the game regardless of subclass choice :)

Vex definitely needs its 390rmp back since it doesn't have the range and flinch of a 360 auto so i find myself getting outgunned at times even if I got the first shot
What vex beeds is the be able to load alt fire with 1 2 or 3 shots depending on the bars. Not always going for 3
In a world of osteo and quicksilver, funs guns like vex get the shaft. Linear dmg to champs going up is cool but i much prefer the higher rpm.
I use rain of fire, vex, supremacy bait and switch rewind rounds, last wish rl with bait and switch reconstruction 🤷♂️ it’s kind of my go to solar lock build
I think hawkmoon should have disruption break or gain paracausal shots on damaging elemental shields or even just add a shot back each time and make gemini jester remove elemental shields in pve
May RNGenus bless you with Thy drop of our Lord Mythoclast!!!! I had this gun in Destiny 1, and when it came time to farm Vault once lfg was active, I went thru hell (so many bad groups) just to get this to drop!! Then one really good Catalyst group!!! The gun is just fun to use!!

We need exotic class items with some the best past artifact mods. Feels one dimensional when all we have is armor charges.

id like to state that with certain builds especially rain of fire builds you pretty much have infinite radiant effects on vex mytho making it pretty much intrinsic anti barrier

I’ve been using Vex Mythoclast on my Warlock with Rain of Fire. the build has been around forever, it’s an oldie but goodie lol.
the main benefit is that every Vex Mythoclast kill gives you radiant, since VM counts as a fusion rifle. free reloading on icky dash, constant radiant damage increase, etc etc. all of this gets elevated by 1000% because this season has crazy artifact mods for solar weapons / subclasses. with this build and all of the artifact mods, Vex basically gets dragonfly and incandescent LOL. it’s gnarly as fuck dude.
The linear buff works on lightbearer hive aswell
Use path of burning steps or battle harmony to give it solar buff to damage
Btw Revision zero feels amazing in PVP. The two burst mode is hitting great. Build it for max stability. Give it a try.
I love the vex but when I have a full charge and need to stun a champ, I lose the charge every time I switch to stun them
I feel it should have scorch and incandescent by either catalyst or by its base default. Once the artifact mod goes, it isnt super great anymore and outshined by other options

I'd use vex more if it could do what tyranny of heaven could. Synergy and crowd control. It's a shame that one of the most iconic fusion rifles is worse at doing what a pre-order exotic could do in terms of ads and synergy .I wish it had incandescent when it's damage perk was active, and maybe an ignition on three perfect Precisions or something. It's good, but it's not the best at wiping out adds. That's great for champion damage, but I will just swap to a special or have a conservative heavy that I save ammo generally for.
So for anything above Legend content Polaris lawns is still obviously the best option so the real question now is are you team vex mythoclast or are you team sunshot personally I'm team vex all the way a lot of people might not like to hear it but in most Legend content the red bars are just two beefy and sunshots scorch just isn't as beneficial or do as much damage as vex's linear fusion mode
vex is goated with rain of fire on something like strand, even tho not being a 390 rpm anymore (rip)
You don’t get the air dodge reload though unless you’ve got the solar aspect though
@@natestrand4922the weavewalk aspect on strand activates Rain of Fire, but it is much more clunky to have to phase twice for a reload. And it's tied to your melee energy.

Vex need an intrinsic overload staggering in my opinion. Would be awesome, at the moment is no point to use instead of a polaris lance.

Vex goes hard with Mantle of Battle Harmony.
They should make the max stacks 4 instead of 6 to make the LFR not as much of a hassle to have when you need it. They can just make it so you only get 1 stack in PvP so it doesn’t get really overpowered
I kinda wish all 360's were 390, that slight bump in fire rate makes vex feel really really good in general, not just PvP. I'm also the kind of person who misses 900 RPM auto rifles though, so maybe I'm biased... RIP Doctrine of Passing, RIP Silimar's Wrath.
I wish people were still willing to help get the catalyst. I never see that anymore in LFG because everybody has it or just moved on

Strand also got some great artifact mods, and if you run a Strand build you also need to factor in the gazillion of 30k+ damaging Threadlings that the Quicksilver will give rise to in use. I think the balance is good but I wonder if Quicksilver doesn't have an edge. It's also easier to acquire if you don't have the Mythoclast.
What do you recommend as the best loadout for PvP?
Vex in PvE is like a hot knife through butter. In PvP it after the RPM nerf it feels like it just gets out gunned if you are not shooting first. Vex is my favorite weapon in the game and I desperately want Bungie to put it back to 390. It made it feel special and could actually take on weapons with Target Lock. With the RPM nerf anything with Target Lock out guns it which is sad.
With that said I am hopeful that Bungie will hear us Vex enjoyers and buff the RPM back to 390 and let us have our time in the Sun once more. After all, Vex isn't even in the to 100 weapons used in Trials anymore so there isn't a reason for them to even fear buffing it back up. There are enough weapons out now that buffing Vex back up to 390 RPM would not change the sandbox in any meaningful way, but allow us Vex enjoyers the ability to actually fight back against the hard meta. I really hope Bungie sees the data and goes well shit we made a bad choice, lets fix that.

Did Cross skip over torch? If you are looking at buffs. Vex on a strand or stasy warlock absolutely melts. You dont get the reload buff from the boots but all fusions melt from just one kill and getting radiant.

I still haven’t got the weapon! My clan let the whole game go! I want it so bad
I still have yet to get that weapon. Can't find anybody to play with to do the raid to get it. And I've never even done the raid so I have no clue what to do so I'd be more a burden to people that are experienced in it if I did the fire team finder.
But the fireteam finder has teaching runs, UA-cam has raids for dummies guides, get it done.
I’m honestly shocked by the amount of “mid” weapons that got the spotlight in the past like what? 2 years? Like first it was merciless in I think plunder, then (as far as I remember) sunshot peaked in defiance-deep, and now Polaris Lance and Thorn. And I’m not gonna go without saying I for sure missed a definite few.
