Color matching my grille for $50???

- In today’s video I’m going to be color matching the grille on my Silverado!! The best part is all the materials only cost me around $50 and I got all of them at my local parts store!!

Looks good! I did that to mine also and I like it a lot better then with the chrome part
Right! I was nervous about how it would turn out but I have no regrets!!
Came out good! I plan to do this on my avalanche
Makes it look so much better in my opinion! I’m not really into all the chrome.

What did yu sand it down with on the top part where yu couldn’t get the Crome off?

I just took a flat head screw driver and scraped it off!
How has the black paint lasted on the grey plastic so far
It was holding up great but I sold the grille and hood when I did the 06 grille and hood swap.
@@ZPTVChannelthat’s good I did see your bow tie paint was causing in a vid so I got concerned if the plastic would fade
It was still really good when I sold it! I did swap the bow tie though so I still have the same bow tie from this video!

How long did it last
Was still holding great when i swapped to the newer front end and sold this one!
What color of white did you use?
I went to advanced auto and got the Olympic white color match paint. But I’m almost positive summit white is the same and I think bright white is the same too

Unfortunately that is not gonna last long.
I’m hoping to get maybe a couple years out of it honestly for the price if it lasts that long it’ll be a win!
