Moved from a samsung S21 to OnePlus Open and i love it! I can never go back to normal phones. Have been using it for more than 2 months now!!
I switched to the S24 Ultra. The only drawbacks on the OnePlus Open is the camera quality and camera bump other than that the phone was a freaking beast. The charging speeds were beyond satisfaction.
what made you switch ? i don't think the camera is that bad in comparison to the s24. Just for that or?
The s24 ultra has horrendous camera
Funny because the camera is better on the one plus than any samsung, it's almost like all modern phone cameras are all great and it's now subjective lol

I also switched to S24U, to be honest. I was using Oppo Find n3 (which is basically Oneplus open) for 6 months. The only problem I had was that my device came from China. I bought it around 1000$ from stat , which was an awesome price. The device itself just a beast. But software... lacks, definitely lacks. I used to oneui, its customization and features very-very much. That was the main reason for my switch. I'm happy with ultra right now, very good phone.
You are not paying a premium price for the cameras; you are paying a premium price for the tablet mode. If you want to pay a premium price for premium cameras, you need to look at other phone options.
The only i dont like about is that you can use the outer screen if its open at an angle.
I currently have the 15 pro max, next upgrade is definitely going to be a foldable. If the Samsung 6 has a bigger outer screen I’ll be picking that up. I am just a die hard Samsung fan when it comes to android.
I have the 15 pro max too. The oneplus fold looks nice but I’m with you, I would go Samsung as far as quality. Also screen opens 180 and the support is proven. But damn the oneplus fold does look more interesting with the camera and charging speeds. I guess I would be happy with either.
@@pinky1933 that’s 2 of us, I loved iPhone with the 14 pro max but android is coming to my ideal of liking. The plus looks fantastic! I just don’t know if I can get off the Samsung train. I’m waiting to see the 6 in hopes that they make the outer screen bigger. I guess if not I am going maybe try one plus. They have their own watches don’t they?

@@Xukui idk if oneplus has watches. I love Samsung and the wife gets mad at me where I switch every year or so between the 2. Apple is like the car that goes only 100 mph but is 100% reliable vs Samsung is able to go 150 mph but reliable 80% of the time. Ha.
@@pinky1933 I do the same thing, my wife doesn’t want me to keep switching. So I told her, I’m going with the Z fold I’m switching. She loves apple so the only way I’ll swap is for the Z fold lmao. Apple is decent but they need to come out with a foldable and then maybe I’d consider sticking around shah.

How does it not fold flat when the sound you hear upon open is the device touching itself flat?
Because of small pieces of dirt that keep sticking to the outer part of the hinge. I clean it at least once a day so it doesn't cause me an issue. Sometimes you just need to open it a little bit more with your hands after it snaps open. Not a big deal. Awesome phone, really awesome!
I just bought that phone yesterday. Cant wait to use it.

Compared to Samsung camera quality, the OnePlus was lacking for me. It has the same issue that the note 20 ultra had with center of the pictures being super focused and outer edges being blurred.
Does the crease feel more obvious than day1?

Yeah the only 1 issue i have after buying this last nov is the fact it doesnt open completely flat anymore which is a real shame as apart from that this phone has been THE BEST ive ever owned and ive bought a hell of a lot of phones. Im still absolutely impressed with this device and if they offer a trade in program in the uk and its a sizeable upgrade then i will look at doing that. Great vid btw👍

They have to do a lot lot more with foldable and flips before they take over from candy bar phones.

@@armandogonzalez0814Like way thinner but IMO actually they’re getting too close to normal smartphones, one plus is an example but Nova Magic V2 makes this way better, is the thinnest of all fold phones, is crazy. I think foldables right now are worth a try, they’re no longer that bulky and thick like they used to be, and they somehow weight pretty much the same as a S24 Ultra or iPhone 15 pro max, which, again, is insane.

Lol, you couldn't be more wrong. I buy 2 phones every year... I have a secondary line I use at work. I'm currently using an iPhone 15 Pro Max and the OnePlus Open and I can't see myself buying a non- foldable Android phone in the future. Standard candy bar phones are boring and played out. Nothing beats a foldable. I honestly barely use my iPhone and won't be purchasing a 16 Pro Max this year.
That’s great. The mass market doesn’t want a delicate plastic screen. We had those back in the 2000’s.. my point stands, I’ll come back to say I told you so one day 👌🏼

Anyone that has actually used foldable knows what it's about. You can say that you can't maximize it's features, but it's hard to deny that it has a special spot in terms of functionality.
I have almost flagship phones, but I keep a Fold 5 around because it's irreplacable.
