Do you have a link for the ones on Amazon that you’d suggest if they are in stock? I just got a 1998 NIB furby. I managed to jumpstart the motor, but my little guy is still mute. Would love to hear him!
Some people stuff like cottonballs or something in them to muffle the speaker, you can also open them up and just unplug the speaker but I think that would affect the tummy sensor🤔 so maybe getting a speaker that has died would be the easiest way to make them mute and still have the tummy sensor.
Is there any way to fix a furby that’s quite silent? I have a Santa furby that is in mild condition. It works but the motors are noisy and a speaker that is not like my other 2 furbies
You would have to replace either with a working speaker from another Furby or by soldering in a new speaker you can get off Amazon. If the motor and gears are noisy you can also lubricate the gears with dielectric grease and use motor oil on the motor to try and help quiet them down as well. I got mine off Amazon.
What I usually do is take the speaker from a Furby that no longer works or has major issues to swap with the not working speaker. Other than that I think there's not many other ways to fix it.
I will keep this in mind to replace one of my furby's dying speakers
Can you tell me how to put the skin back on after you replace the speaker I just wanted to make sure before I do the surgery 😭

a.co/d/dMBYMo1 here's the link! But you will have to solder the speaker to the old speaker case. A bit more work.
@@theoriginalfurbyqueen awesome! Thanks so much. I have no problem soldering. Hoping it all works out! It’s my Special Edition Autumn Furby!
