The stripped screws comment hits HARD Working in HVAC for 20 years and the amount of techs who strip bolts and screws on brand new units when servicing them... It isnt hard put the 5% more effort in (if that) and most of the time they spend more time with the stripped screw/bolt than if they just stopped and thought ohhh this isnt right lets fix it. Love your work mark!
I love the sweet little encouragement to change out the screws, works better for the customer and works better for the flight maintenance company and reinforced the 2% principal!!!
I support you 100% on the replacing the screws. When I was working as a apprentice working on aircraft I was told to always replace any hardware that was questionable
Enjoying this series and can't wait to see the Garmin panel. Can we have a behind the scenes real world tour and discussion about owning and maintaining your Tiffin?
I do like the bored camera lady swinging back and forth in their seat in the reflections. Really excited about the build, because of how excited you both are about modifying your aircraft. I hate stripped out screws. They've probably also been put in with drills or impact guns that are not set to the correct torque.
Hey Mark this is an awesome video. I have watched all your videos and all of Mike's also. I think we got to see the true Mark in this video. We can tell just how much this conversion meant to you, we can see and feel it in your voice and you eyes. I can't wait for the next video to see the performance difference. Awesome man.
Can't wait to see this finished. Good to see you taking the lead on this video. Mike is always hogging the spotlight. Oh, by the way, when do we get to see your cub build? Scrappy turned out awesome. We need to see Marks lightweight version.
So glad to finally see Perry get this engine upgrade! Curious though why not also upgrade to the MT 5 or 7 blade prop STC. No doubt you guys crunched the numbers on price vs performance. But nice work, brothers! And call me if you ever need a FO 🤙🏽
This is going to be a nice Pilatus when its done for sure. Probably this best in the country. When the Patey boys do something they don't mess around for sure. 101%...
Early in my career an old Italian coworker of mine used to say “Be a job, big or small, do it right or not at all”. The Patey boys must have met my old friend.
MARK I'M NEW TO YOUR CHANNEL. VERY IMPRESSED WITH YOU AND THE CONTENT. WOW IT PAYS TO HAVE OCD, DON'T MEAN THAT IN A NEGATIVE MANNER. I WILL BE A SUBSCRIBER FOR SURE!!
We already saw this on Mike’s channel, which ended with the remainder to be revealed on your channel… Now, I tuned in to see the remainder and really the only thing new is you want me to wait yet again. This is not driving me to your channel… It’s about to drive me in the other direction!
Say something to your service center about the screws 🤷♂️ At the service center I work at if the customer were to say something about it our supervisors would definitely tell us to replace any questionable fasteners which would lead to a more stocked parts room. So at least on the mechanics level you would be doing us a favor.
Change something and re-up the video?? BTW, I've watched so many videos I can tell you guys apart if we met on the street! I grew up with several "exact twins", I guess I learned how to tell from that maybe. LOLOL --gary
As a mechanic on crj 550's myself, this is a big pet pieve, stripped screws. If it is stripped just don't put it in the bag so you or the following crew are forced to put in new. I hate drilling screws.
I dont think I'll ever get over having called you so late, I still think the perfect scheme was a discussion away but Im sure we'll work together again
Good attempt to record the sound but it was the wrong choice for the extremely live room acoustics with the hard surfaces reflected sound. If you are going to use body microphones you should use directional ones (not omni) pointed straight up to your chin. Better: Headset microphones with the element positioned at the corner of the mouth. "Bad sound makes good video look bad."
Awe man I was so hoping this was installment part two after Mike's upload. I want more! 😄
i was gonna say didn't i already watch this haha
I'ma watch it anyway to make sure Mark's channel gets some love too.
@@Will-W I left Mark a like, but seeing it the 1st time was ok. I'll wait for part 2 and this time, I watch it here on Mark's channel!

Videos so nice we post them twice!
Can't wait to see this finished. Good to see you taking the lead on this video. Mike is always hogging the spotlight. Oh, by the way, when do we get to see your cub build? Scrappy turned out awesome. We need to see Marks lightweight version.
I love that they’re the nicest guys, and they’re living the dream!
That was great seeing the process of a major engine swap in the Pilatus! Can’t wait to see the next one with all of the results!!
wait is this the same video as the one on Mikes channel? i see this one is slightly longer
You, sir, are an observant and discerning individual. Or . . . are we both wrong?
Looks like the same video to me… but I’ll rewatch to get Mark the minutes
amazing how much alike you two look alike! Just sitting here trying to figure out why I can recognize you all apart as easily I do
As a tech at a manufacturers service center, I get so pissed at stripped screws and managements push back to order new hardware.
Look forward to seeing more and hearing about the improvements to the performance.
By the way I really like the new paint work.
You guys are always making a good plane better. Thank you for sharing. Have a great day and stay safe.😀😀
At the service center I used to work at we systematically replaced any screw that looked even a little worn. It's basic workmanship in my opinion.

Re-uploaded a version that includes the first start up... YAY!!
This is going to be a nice Pilatus when its done for sure. Probably this best in the country. When the Patey boys do something they don't mess around for sure. 101%...
Looking great!
I feel I have seen this one before? Is this a re-upload?
Early in my career an old Italian coworker of mine used to say “Be a job, big or small, do it right or not at all”. The Patey boys must have met my old friend.
Super awesome! Great work!
Cliff hanger ending!! 😂
Great waiting for this one…
Great job
it's jay lenos behind you !
Hmmm I guess I'll like this one again lol 😀
But doesn't P&W have an even newer 67XP variant of the PT6E?
Cracking video 😎
Stripped screws? I would never even think of that on my ultralight plane.
Why did you guys pick the Pilatus over say a Piper Meridian?
Since the engine + gearbox is heavier, shouldn't the nose gear also receive an upgrade?

Is the same video uploaded on Mike's account, I thought I would be part 2
His "mess" is cleaner than my everyday cleanliness level lol

This video is a twin to one on Mike's channel except Mark's is longer.
A catchphrase will come about.
“not just California…. So, we take it seriously…. “. 🤣
Seems like I watched this yesterday and yet it says 3 hours old.
Thank god Pilatus doesn’t use the screws that Dassault does. Titanium floorboard screws in Falcons!
Hey Mark - nobody likes a cliffhanger. lol
You can hear the breath off the guy filming 😂… when inside..

I wish I had a twin!

deja vu

Ok boyzzz motor is electrical :-P Engine engine engine !
Aaaaaggggggghhh that's cruel 👍🏼✨
did you consider to add "STARLINK AVIATION" any opinions about Musk's proposition?
Causes cancer not just in California. 😂😂😂 I’m dying here.
Yep, same video

I think I'm finally able to tell them apart. Mark on our left, Mike on our right.
Repost
Disappointed, this is three days old.
Ford is better!
