Bake Sale Benefitting The Smith Family

Cookies for a Cause 🍪 Our Bake Sale with Smallcakes Collierville is back and this time it’s for one of our own. We hope you can join us for a Bake Sale this Wednesday, October 30th to benefit The Smith Family.
Unfortunately, cancer has hit our Bella Vita family again. While Laura Smith, who’s been with Bella Vita for over 13 years, doesn’t have cancer, both her parents do.
Back in the fall of 2021, Laura’s dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer. The following fall, they discovered that he had a second type of cancer located in his colon. In the spring of 2023, Dr. Smith and Laura headed to MD Anderson, where Dr. Smith had approximately half of his colon removed. Within a few weeks of being back in Memphis, Mrs. Smith started to have severe back pain. After a trip to the ER, it was discovered that she had Stage 4 breast cancer. Since April of 2023, she has been undergoing several different rounds of chemotherapy treatment.
Both Dr. Smith and Mrs. Smith have been undergoing treatment consistently since their diagnosis. It’s our hope and prayer that with this sale we are able to love on this family and provide some financial relief for them.
