I can try but it all depends on what you want

I used a list like this to source my parts and I also didn't replace every little thing either.
I used a Getrag 250G 5 speed. Most people like the ZF transmission as it's built better and can handle more power. But it's also more expensive and harder to find. Others like the 6 speed Getrag Transmission that comes in the m3s but again hard to find and expensive.
I'm not making high horsepower and didn't want to spend alot so the Getrag 250g worked for me.
Goes with out saying.
You need a Transmission, transfluid, driveshaft, shifter linkage, shifter linkage bushing, gear shifter knob and boot, clutch pedal or full assembly, clutch, flywheel, pressure plate, pilot bearing, throwout bearing, shift fork. Then there are other partts you can replace like Guibo, Transmission input and output seals.
The bmw fourms and youtube will be your best friend.
