Block off your blow off valve and make sure you have a pod filter on the front of your turbo and it will do this. Most these guys have straight pipe off the front of the turbo with no filter hence the different pitched dosing noises.

@160pitty It more depends on the intercooler pipework. The longer the pipework, and larger the intercooler, which means more air between the compressor and throttle body. You'll get that slow choppy sound. And then the dose pipe to amplify the noise. Dose hard.

yeah i gave it a shot and it gave me a really nice flutter HKS SSQV and t28 turbo with internals from a GT3071R and both vacumes blocked off, sounds beautiful

They used to be pretty common in Australia until they became a sought after classic, now you don't see many around and they sell for big prices now. They are an australian made car and don't think they were imported any where else in the world.

It's sort of been proven that a good quality turbo will not be negatively effected by dose-ing. A cheap turbo will wear much quicker though.
