I read somewhere he was one of the best selling artists in China. Hey he's a regular on the variety show Ace vs Ace; the spokesman for Sprite, TsingTao Beer, Dell Computers and a lot more ;and there's even a wax figure of him at Madame Tussauds now. Pretty much he's as famous as you can be in China.

When you ask yourself how great an artist can be, I believe that a great artist is one who not only sings well, has a good voice, but must also have a great presence on stage, communication with the public, knowing how to transmit at all times what you want with your song, move with ease, joy and freedom at all times, reach the deepest part of the being that is listening to it, whether in rock, pop or melodic time ...... and I believe that Hua Hua has all that and much more. That is why he is spectacular at what he does !!!

Thank you for this reaction. Some reactors do his Mars Concert 2017 - 2018 - 2019 the last one. They often do 2 songs per weeks or more and you see the real HuaHua. He love to perform on a stage with his fans (call the Martians). Have a good week!

One of the most beautiful song of Hua. There are many new up and coming artists in China now. With variety of different singing competitions new ones are coming. Hua is one of the top artists and labeled the most influential artists in China of his era. He draws a lot of controversy but still so popular in China. He is a spokesman for many many advertisements such as make up companies, Sprite, clothing, glasses, etc. Just remember check out Hua Chenyu English Sub channel and you will see many of his songs in eng subs. You may have to turn the caption on. You should check out his two sprite commercials. Though it’s not his composition, it’s still great.

There is no one exactly like Hua Cheyu but there are numerous other great Chinese singers. He is enormously popular in China, being known as the most influential young musician/composer. He has won numerous awards and just as an example, his last concert, in 2019, I think around 40,000 seats, sold out in just 3 seconds. He held another concert in the same venue the next night, which sold out again. Even he was not able to purchase a ticket, after having bet his fans that he could, so he shaved his hair off, to keep his side of the bargain. He has over 20 million followers on Weibo, the Chinese social media platform. He is also much loved by his fans, not just for his music, but because of his personality and character. As to other great singers there are so many, too many to mention, and for some it is difficult to find their music outside of China. You can also listen to Zhou Shen (Charlie Zhou, an young up and coming singer with a very unusual voice), Huo Zun (Henry Huo), Wang Feng (rock singer of the generation just before Hua Chenyu), Terry Lin (Taiwanese singer, good friend of Dimash), Liu Huan (very influential older singer/composer), Jam Hsiao (another Taiwanese singer and actor), Tia Ray (who does a variety of styles, and should be quite accessible to western listeners because she incorporates a lot of influences into her music, including jazz, funk etc.), Wu Qing Feng (founder of the band Soda Green, and winner of Best Mandarin Male Vocalist at the 31st Golden Melody Awards), Han Hong (singer, songwriter, philanthropist, who incorporates Tibetan elements into her popular music). Of course, these are all some of my favorite singers. Just sharing my personal biases.
For info, HuaHua's 2019 Haikou concert was held 3 nights in a row, 50k seats each night. He has over 39M followers on Weibo. Friendly info.

Hua Hua is definitely famous in China and also made a little name in Asia. In the west he is known by very few people but there are definitely many Martians out there in the rest of the world (like me). He has been one of the most influential singers in China and I’m pretty sure he has the title of Forbes most influential singer of China from born in the 90’s
Love you guys' reactions on all Hua Hua's music. He is one of my all time favorite Chinese singers. Like you guys have said. He isn't just a true artist. He is so original as well. It's not like what people want him to sing. It's about what he wants to sing and convey his feelings/ideas. He once said on an interview that his treats his voice as one of the music instruments. What a brilliant way to look at it!

A great performance by HuaHua. He is not Beyonce level, but given the population of China, he's still huge. He is considered the most influential singer/songwriter in China, and the critics love him. One older rocker said he was the hope of Chinese music because he is forward thinking and an individual. The ONLY performer he can rightfully be compared to might be David Bowie. If you're looking for another fantastic Chinese singer, try Huo Zun (Henry Huo). He may or may not be to your taste, but you won't be able to deny his monumental talent. Personally I love him. This is a powerful song and this was a rearrangement. The original can be recognized in this one but he definitely changed it for the better because he slowed it down a bit and for example added his famous ‘humming’ because not many songs have lyricless parts like he has so you can always recognize him from that.

I think his music has lots of different styles, it's really hard to say which one is his best.
Check out his trilogy of the new world reborn "Arrival", "God Tree" and "New World". Though these are in one trilogy, but these are 3 different styles of music.
They are all new age music basically, but in the song "God Tree" you may find some ancient Chinese style music called "Ya Yue 雅乐调" which was recorded in the "Book of Songs 诗经" more than 2000 years ago.

as for other artists, try Tengri singing Heaven. He is Mongolian. Also, the band Lion, lead singer is Jam Hsiao. They were on Singer 2017. Try the song Lion first.

He added another night n also gone within seconds. So total 180,000 fr two nights vanished like magic.

A beautiful cover of a beautiful song. Till i found hcy-music i never thought much of cover versions,… always preferred the original. ( and ive been around a while) This man changed all that in a blink if an eye. So far theres been only 1 cover he has done where i prefer the original artist. Thats Heaven and Tengger. Still HCY is no cover artist. All these songs are rearranged by him because he was in a context of tvshows where it was required..Hcy is a composer with the unique ability to recreate even mediocre songs into splendor. From gravel to gold.Imo there are noone of his standard in china. The rapper Jay Chou maybe, but hes from Taiwan.Of course there are many outstanding and extraordinary singers in various genres, but hcy is so much more than vocals only.

There are multiple videos and evidences that Jay Chou (Zhou Jielun) says that he is from China, and he has called Taiwan a province on video before. Two of his most famous video clips are him saying "Don't let the Korean trend be so arrogant, Chinese trend is the best!" and also a clip of him saying in a livestream media in Taiwan "Taiwan province".
The reason why he's as popular in China as he is is because he is patriotic and always includes Chinese cultural elements in his music.
Honestly, modern day people are pretty stupid in their classifications.
Bruce Lee's famous line was not "Hong Kongers are not the sick man of Asia", it was "Chinese are not the sick man of Asia".
He considered himself Chinese as well, and also recognized his ancestral town as being in Shunde, on the mainland.
I think he is the youngest singer to get to have concert in the "bird nest" at such a young age. He is quite famous in China.

Not really a china singer, but another chinese artist that you really should check out is JJ Lin. He is a Singaporean singer based in the chinese market like Taiwan and China. i feel that the original version is much better and more like a story teller
If you are going to pause so much through the song, there is no need for your Copyright pauses. Three pauses in a song should be enough to get past the UA-cam sensors. So many pauses ruins the flow and entertainment value for the viewers of your videos. Not meant to be an A-hole response, but a constructive suggestion.
Not taken as an A-hole response.. but now its time to teach you Bill.. this is free😊😊 we pause to avoid the copyright.. once we finish editing the video we upload it.. if UA-cam still copyrights the video ( sometimes block it from even showing) then we delete the video and go back to editing to add some breaks and maybe even chop off a few parts.. we upload it again.. youtube more than likely still copyrights or blocks it.. we then delete again to add more breaks just to get the video up..we dont like pausing or adding the breaks.. takes way to much time and effort to do so.. sometimes it takes us 10 times of repeating the process till video is even allowed on UA-cam, still copyrighted though which means we dont get the money for it.. but just to get the video on youtube..so when people like yourself complain or act as if we want to waste hours and hours and hours of our time to mess up the video that we though was great.. its a slap in the face to us and are efforts.. if the video was able to get on UA-cam without the talking or the breaks we would do that..so much easier for us.. just explaining and teaching you and others who might read this, if you are not uploading songs or music videos, then you have no idea what you guys are talking about.. do not take this reply to your response as an A-hole reply👍🏼😊😊
