This video is more like for his fans, he could not achieve the last and biggest trophy in football world - World Cup, which plays on national team level, instead of club level, and it's happens once in 4 years. So you basically have only few times at best to play in this tournament. And after becoming the God of football, after winning everything that he could, he could not win this cup, he even once reached the final of the tournament but Germans were stronger. Ans in his last wourld cup, being 35 years old, he gave his everything to win this trophy, and he won. Like in the movie. Which officially made him the best football player ever. But if you want to really appreciate why Messi is good, then try to watch him in his prime, especially his dribbling, he has most effectice dribbling in football and it's definitely worth to watch for any sport fan.
Dude out here asking iwth a straight face who was Maradona. Being an argentinian you learn who Diego Maradona was along with your first words. He was the greatest of his generation, same as Messi is the greatest of his. Two of the most important players in the history of football.
yeah well hes american, that's like asking a european whos the goat of baseball is lol. It is nice seeing north americans learn more about this sport, tho.
in the past are many extrem good player, small example a striker who shot more goals in the national Team as he played games, 62 Games with 68 Goals called Bomber of the Nation not the best player but very effectiv, or the best and still the best argentien player of all time Diego Maradona who don´t need a gifted Worldcup win, he was the garanty for his team to win the Worldcup 1986. The Last Worldcup was Messis last Chance to win and the FIFA decided to gifted him the Title. Watch the Worldcup Final 2014 how bad Messi was or the Barcelona vs. Munich game with the 2:8 lost.
"why do people not see him as a leader" - It's because he's shy, an introvert and he doesn't like to speak, if he has something to say, he'll do it on the pitch. He's arguably the greatest captain of all time tho, never before have we seen teammates who literally say they would "die for Messi". It's unforeseen and it's the result of him being, humble, kind, equal to everyone and also his playstyle on the pitch; not hogging the spotlight, instead lifting others up. Rather assisting than scoring etc. Unlike Cristiano, which is very visible in the way his Portuguese teammates treat him. "who's the bigger superstar? Messi or Ronaldo?" - Ronaldo. He's the more well known player, the one with more followers. While Messi is the better footballer, the greatest footballer in fact. As I said, Messi is more shy, introverted, focusses on his football. Ronaldo on the other hand drops a cold quote, does a viral celebration, .. every week. Ronaldo is also more of a "supermodel", with a sixpack and lots of cosmetic surgeries done. While Messi is all natural, not caring about looks, focussing solely on his football. In the footballing world, Mess is the biggest name. In the world? Ronaldo. "Who's this on the drum" - the person depicted next to Messi is Diego Maradona, before Messi emerged, the greatest footballer Argentina had ever known and one of the top 4 greatest of all time, only behind Messi, Pele and CR7, in that order. Messi & Maradona's playstyle is very similar. They're both small, focussed on dribbling, .. This caused Messi to be called Diego's heir since a very young ago, since he replicated Maradona's "goal of the century" in 2007 actually. This put immense pressure on a 17 yo Messi. And yet he surpassed him. That is everywhere but one place; the World Cup. The only competition that before 2022 eluded him. The same competition Diego won for his country with to this day, the greatest performance of all time. Which is why this cup was so important for Messi to win. And yes, indeed, Messi had not won the World Cup prior to this. It was the one stain on his career, the career of the man who won everything, multiple times at that. He was clearly the greatest of all time before this. Before 2021 even, where he won his first Copa America, but this basically shut up the greatest critics and if I'd have to slap a number on it I'd say 80% of the professional footballers/ ex players/coaches/commentators, .. are now in agreement he truly is the greatest of all time. Most of the people you'll find disagreeing are the ones with an emotional attachement to certain players, or the older folks, drowning in nostalgia.
People dont understad how much harder it is to win cup with players from only your own country. Where as champions league is like NBA, a collection of best players in the world to support you.

Players like Lionel Messi may appear once in a century. And perhaps not even that. I am from France and I was lucky that during my life time I was able to see Messi doing his magics. Watching him made billions of people happy and not only in Argentina.
when you asked ''he never won a world cup'', you should know, that it's actually a big privilage to be able to win it at some point in footballers life, because the tournament is only played once in 4 years. A lot of footballers became pro around 20-23 years of age (of course there are exceptions, some are pro since 16yo, some after the age of 26 but average is around 20-23 years of age), you have to be good enough to be picked to be a part of your national team which has the squad depth of only 26 players for a tournament. So if you became a pro at 21, you also became so good, that you get the invitation to the national team at the same year and the world cup is also played at the same year - you probably only be around for 2-4 tournamnets in your life, and of course you have to be one of the 26 best players of your country for every season. Some players only have one shot and after some time, their form is not enough to be part of the national squad anymore. So there is indeed a small amount of players who can call themselves a world champions. For example Carvajal who is a regular starter at Real Madrid for several years, has only played his first Euro tournament at the age of 32, because there was always somebody better for his position. Euro is also played once in 4 years, so it was possibly also his last tournament.
8:35 Diego Armando Maradona. Argentinian which played in Napoli and became world champion for Argentina. After Maradona retired Argentina didn't won world cup. Unfortunetly he died. After his death Napoli win the league and Argentina world cup. I hope he watched everything from the clouds ❤
Trolls on social media have ruined the conversation around Messi and Ronaldo especially for outsiders. But this is all you need to know. Both players are two of the greatest to ever play this game. Messi is pure natural godly talent. Ronaldo is the definition of hard work and dedication. I have always been on the Messi side bc I like his style more. He can do everything Ronaldo can do (Ronaldo can’t necessarily do everything Messi can). Messi is the shy/quiet superstar that wants his teams to succeed and it’s not always about him. Ronaldo is more of the global icon who wants everything to be about him. Messi’s teams always perform better with Messi playing, you can make a legit conversation that Ronaldo’s teams play towards his strengths and therefor could actually perform better without him. So I’ll always go for Messi whose overall game is better, and whose personality is much much better (in my opinion). Oh and Messi has a World Cup….. lol Ronaldos cockiness is what made me hate him growing up, I have since learned to respect him as an all time great but still alway rubbed me the wrong way, especially the several times he has taken off the captains armband and thrown it on the ground or kick it (and no it’s not just a piece of cloth) and also he has walked out on his team before the final whistle which is just bad behavior.
There was something special about this team. Messi, Di Maria, Martinez, all the players.... Everyone's contribution was essential to winning even Scaloni.... Beautiful game.
Men's Football World Cup is the hardest tournament ever in the history of mankind to be won. Every 4 years, just a bunch of teams are able to compete. The best of the best, against every other. Short periods to recover, a lot of pressure and only 1 of 211 nations will rise.
07:53 The fact he has to point out that Messi is, in fact, just a human gives me joy. Not because he's right, but because he feels he has to point it out! But yeah, he's not.
For most of us Argentinians wanted to be world champions, but even more wanted Messi to be. It was the same with Maradona when he was banned, we wanted for us, but more for him... the path of the myths, the tale that is always the same, the hero.... we love the talent that beats the strength, we love team coordination, but more the improvisation. We love our playmakers, Messi, Maradona (IMHO the GOAT), or Riquelme, Bochini and a long etc. These who have a 10 in their back. And when we admire a rival player... most of the time has the same number. (it is not exclusive in Brazil you have many numbers to chose to admire). But the 10, the one who thinks, the one more "habilidoso", the one who converts boredom into danger, discipline in creativity... "el enganche", is always the first to be evaluated.
Crazy thing about world cups is that it happens every 4 years, very difficult to win, and what was really special about this one was he was playing against his teammate Mbappe in the World Cup final, they both play for PSG together so this World Cup was crazy
Dude, only 8 nations won the World Cup in 90 years: Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Spain, France, Italy, Germany, and England. That's it. 5 more played in the final match, but lost. Netherlands lost final 3 times, Sweden, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, and Croatia. That's it. 13 Nations played in the final. it doesn't matter how good you are, without a great team, chemistry, being great at that day, and a bit of luck, you are not winning it. It is something every player dreams of, but only few manage to do cause it is so hard to win it. And it's not like you can try 10 times. It is held every 4 years So, if your nation is great at soccer, and you qualify for each one, and you are a great player at 18, and you don't get injured or lose your powers in your 30s, and you are in great form for 18-20 years, you might get 5 attempts. 1 goes down the drain cause of some bs, fight, money, manager, relations on the team....second goes cause of luck. you hit the post, their gk turns into superman, you slip at penalty shootout....you have 3 tries, to get one easy opponent in ko stage, for ref to not see a small foul, corner or some shit like that, and to have all of your teamates in form and liking eachother. then if you reach the final, and all those things get alligned, a player that should score goals have a horrible game. It happened to Messi in 2014. when Higuain butchered like 3 or 4 sitters. It is so hard. I think you got the idea just from those short highlights. Argentina goalkeeper made a hero save at the last second of the game.He doesn't save that, Messi doesn't have a WC. And he was not supposed to save that. It was insane. Then a penalty shootout. So it being his first WC isnt some surprise. Cristiano Ronaldo has none. The closst he got was fourth place. Meaning he lost Semifinal match, then Bronze medal match. It was 18 years ago. He never made it to the semis again. Hope you get the picture now.
World cup is the biggest tournament in football. It only happens every 4 years, so players don't have many opportunities to win it. He got to the world cup finals in 2014 but lost against Germany. He got to the finals in several other important international tournaments but lost one after the other one and almost retired from the national team, until he decided to try ONE more time, and that was the last world cup.
I am a proud Argentinian! I love Messi and our national team in general, through good and bad times for the last 40 years! I was 5 years old when we won the WC in 1986. I was over the moon when he won the 2022 WC! Lionel deserved it!! Thanks for reacting to this, I don't get tired of watching these videos.
The other man next to Messi in the photo is Diego Armando Maradona, still considered by many people to be the best of all time, today Messi has been his successor.
The world cup is every 4 years and usually the top countries that have teams hella stacked like, germany, brazil, italy and france usually are favorites to win, messi’s argentina usually got eliminated winning the world cup is a hige achievement it’s not easy at all to win it, specially with the time gaps
Saying that only Germany, Brazil Italy and France are favorite to win is wrong in my opinion. Because I do put Argentina into those countries. Now for sure argentina winning is a super achievement and it is great. As we know not easy. But when we talk about countries with potential I do think Argentina is usually there. With certain years as exceptions where they are a disaster.

I just came across your channel. Im happy that the people from USA are getting to know who he is. He is humble but fierce when it comes to play. And his talent along with the rest of the national team players they are unstoppable. I suggest you watch the last match against France during the world cup, just to experience the best final from all times.
I don't think there's a video for his whole career but from if you want the story from 2004(Debut)-2019 then watch Lionel Messi - The GOAT by Magical Messi. Probably the best video for his career.
the fact that NOBODY points out is when they scored their last pen my man fell to his knees opened his arms and kept them open even though his team mate was wrapped around his chest. messi held his arms open for every possible team mate to get in on that one single hug and that for me speaks volumes about him as a person and a player
Im argentinian bro, you don't know how we suffered in the Netherlands and France game, as an argentinian, the suffering is something normal in us, thats the sign that good things will happen.
As an Australian seeing that goal against us again is still heartbreaking. But that's what happens when Australia comes up against any teams that aren't in Asia or Middle East. They are just different.
11:12 thats gary lineker who played with maradona in the 1986 world cup (which maradona won by scoring his infamous hand of god where the referee thought it was a header but he actually used his hands and cheated to score a goal in the quarter finals against england but the goal he scored straight after was the best goal of all time cuz he dribbled THE WHOLE PITCH LENGTH and scored so he kinda still deserved to win that game)
great vid my guy, the dude you asked the identity of was Diego Maradona, another GOAT from Argentina, he basically won the World Cup by himself on 86', he has the world record for more fouls commited TO HIM, in all world cups, something like 200 fouls, and the next plyer has 50, the only way to stop him was to kick him.
We can say that Messi is the greatest of this century, he's a genius with an amazing career, but we can't compare him to Pelé (from Brazil), people tend to forget about the past and consider "history" the last 20~30 years. Pelé played 4 world cups and won 3 (1958, 1962, and 1970). Pelé has over 1000 goals scored in his career and according to FIFA he would have won 7 Ballon d'Or prizes but unfortunately at that time, non-European players were not eligible for the prize. Pelé is known as "Rei do Futebol" (King of Soccer) and is worldwide well-known. Messi is a beast, but we can't forget about the past. A lot of people say that "in Pelé's era soccer player's overall quality was not 'as good' as it is right now so it was easier to be good" but this also applies to the technology players have today. Back then, players didn't have these stratospheric contracts, nor 50+ people looking for them medical-wise, nor high-tech balls and cleats, or superfast medical treatment for bad injuries, etc. I'm from Brazil BTW, I didn't see Pelé play (obviously), and Messi is the greatest player I've seen play so far. But I still think that Brazil has/had some players who have more overall skills than Messi (to mention a few: Ronaldinho R10, Ronaldo Phenomenon R9, and Neymar) but Brazilian players usually don't have that long career, and on this matter CR7 and Messi are galaxies beyond.
Great video bro! The one with Messi on the drum is Diego Armando Maradona, the original GOAT. He won Mexico 86'. You should check him out! Cheers from Argentina!
back then, an audio was leaked of Maradona telling Pele that Messi was not a leader, Maradona got a lot of sh1t from that... but he was telling the truth... Messi was and is the best player in the world, buy he was not that guy... from there, Messi changed his mentallity in the 2022 World Cup, and he became the best ever.
the world cup is played every 4 years, and to win it its very difficult, only 8 countryes had won the world cup, since 1930. so its very difficult to win it, argentina only won two in the years 1978 and 1986. and we had yo waint to messi to win another one, and it was a real pain in the ass for him, bad coaches, bad teeam mates. but the story had a happy ending
Ronaldo is more popular on the internet and especially with young kids because of his flashy goals and his personality, but on a worldwide level if you asked every human on Earth including those older people that dont use the internet much who they prefer I would bet my soul that the most popular answer would be Messi.

in the past are many extrem good player, small example a striker who shot more goals in the national Team as he played games, 62 Games with 68 Goals called Bomber of the Nation not the best player but very effectiv, or the best and still the best argentien player of all time Diego Maradona who don´t need a gifted Worldcup win, he was the garanty for his team to win the Worldcup 1986. The Last Worldcup was Messis last Chance to win and the FIFA decided to gifted him the Title. Watch the Worldcup Final 2014 how bad Messi was or the Barcelona vs. Munich game with the 2:8 lost.
@@mariojakel5544 maradona literally scored a goal with his hand in the same wc he won dumbass
@@mariojakel5544stop crying Like a bitch
Messi is the GOAT in the history of SPORTS, not just Football. And the fact that he's such a humble, normal dude is beautiful.
MESSI have more trophies, more individual trophy, most statistics, now he win the World Cup?
Is not even debate anymore dude😂
Only delusional Ronaldo fans who hates Messi.💀
Look what he has done to Inter Miami now..From last place and then turning into first position..Truly The G.O.A.T...🐐🌹🌹🌹🌹
Players like Lionel Messi may appear once in a century. And perhaps not even that.
I am from France and I was lucky that during my life time I was able to see Messi doing his magics.
Watching him made billions of people happy and not only in Argentina.
I’m at lunch at work crying watching this reaction 🥲🥲 Messi is forever the GOAT 🐐
8:40 This guy asking "Who is this?" showing a picture of Diego Maradona... is like asking "Who is this?" showing a picture of Michael Jordan
The difference between Messi and Ronaldo is that Messi is a playmaker as well as a scorer... Ronaldo is just a scorer
when you asked ''he never won a world cup'', you should know, that it's actually a big privilage to be able to win it at some point in footballers life, because the tournament is only played once in 4 years.
The greatest to ever kick a football is Lionel Messi 💯 u should react to Lionel Messi -the goat -official movie
Yeah imma check that out next.
Men's Football World Cup is the hardest tournament ever in the history of mankind to be won. Every 4 years, just a bunch of teams are able to compete. The best of the best, against every other. Short periods to recover, a lot of pressure and only 1 of 211 nations will rise.
That guy on the drum is maradona. Who won the 1986 world cup with the best individual performance ever, you should react to the 1986 maradona campaign
He is the real GOAT my friend!🐐
According someone who understand football.
07:53 The fact he has to point out that Messi is, in fact, just a human gives me joy. Not because he's right, but because he feels he has to point it out! But yeah, he's not.
It's a crime that they didn't include Martinez dancing and gestures after he saved the penalties xD
Anyone who loves football wanted him to win this world cup
I was rooting for the French but I was happy that he won
I can’t watch this video without tissue. I cry every time 😢😂😂
Hello, I am from ARGENTINA and I loved your reaction, my brother.
Hey, thanks
Never compare Messi to anyone
Messi Play's now for inter miami after winnig World cup and there he won for Inter Miami the first ever cup 🐐
The fact that usa people dont know Maradona is mind blowing
Ronaldo is a bigger superstar when it comes to stuff like social media and his PR but when it comes to pure football its messi
And Messi just won the Copa America with Argentina again back to back making him a 2x Copa America winner
Argentina is a top team in world cups.. I mean they already won 4 more than the English hehe
Edit : Argentina has 3..so 2 more than the English
@@jessy8a10 argentina have 3 world cups, am I missing the joke
@@axelrenteria699 yes sorry 3
Saying that only Germany, Brazil Italy and France are favorite to win is wrong in my opinion. Because I do put Argentina into those countries.
Now for sure argentina winning is a super achievement and it is great. As we know not easy. But when we talk about countries with potential I do think Argentina is usually there. With certain years as exceptions where they are a disaster.
@@jessy8a10england won it in 1966
This was such a legendary player words can’t even describe how good he was the little boy from rassaro Argentina

"Hundreds of thousands of people in the stadiums" ?!?!?! XD
It’s like the Lebron and mj debate but in my eyes Messi clears
This is FOOTBALL (FIFA) not the NFL & NBA ! 1 gol 1 point... And a nation to carry on your back. It's a collective game but an individual focus.
And once every 4 years!! only 32 teams from the whole world qualify
14:15 You're absolutely right and I'd just like to add that its not only about your accolades but how hard you try. Give it your best shot, again and again!
This world cup was a full stop of debate against Ronaldo mesiiii is and will forever will be greatest player of all time
the fact that NOBODY points out is when they scored their last pen my man fell to his knees opened his arms and kept them open even though his team mate was wrapped around his chest. messi held his arms open for every possible team mate to get in on that one single hug and that for me speaks volumes about him as a person and a player
Messi is also Unicef ambassador, he was poor himself this is why football is beautiful
Brings tears to a man tbh
Messi the 🐐
Biggest name in sports history 🎉⚽️🐐
Im argentinian bro, you don't know how we suffered in the Netherlands and France game, as an argentinian, the suffering is something normal in us, thats the sign that good things will happen.
we went from anxiety to crying then feeling normal then repeated, our feelings god so fried those weeks
Yes all of Messi FC was feeling the same thing even if they aren't Argentinian but all the feelings are why it will be remembered
As an Australian seeing that goal against us again is still heartbreaking. But that's what happens when Australia comes up against any teams that aren't in Asia or Middle East. They are just different.
Messi is playing a 4D game in a 3D world. Magical.
Cristiano is a executor, Messi is a statega and executor
React to "Lionel Messi the GOAT official movie" that is his career documentary, from kid to a GOAT🔥

It was never a debate 🗣️Messi 🐐
world cups are once every four years, thats why its so rare
8:30 "Who is this" You must be kidding? Have you ever seen sport before?
back then, an audio was leaked of Maradona telling Pele that Messi was not a leader, Maradona got a lot of sh1t from that... but he was telling the truth... Messi was and is the best player in the world, buy he was not that guy... from there, Messi changed his mentallity in the 2022 World Cup, and he became the best ever.
I remember when I was watching this wc final and before messi won I got message from hospital that my grandmother died.
Messi!! Is pure! Football!!
I answer your question : THE ONE WHO HATES MESSI is only Ronaldo fans and Real Madrid fans!💀
This is a fact tho😂
The man in the Photo with Messi is Diego Armando Maradona . The best of world before Messi.
LEO is the King! you can't compare to any other footballers /soccer players. He is the greatest of all time.
Messi is the greatest footballer there's ever been. Anyone who knows the sport knows this
the world cup is played every 4 years, and to win it its very difficult, only 8 countryes had won the world cup, since 1930. so its very difficult to win it, argentina only won two in the years 1978 and 1986. and we had yo waint to messi to win another one, and it was a real pain in the ass for him, bad coaches, bad teeam mates. but the story had a happy ending
This was the best if grandpa Messi we've seen😊
The guy in the drum is Maradona, after Messi, he is along Pelé as the other 🐐
That man in picture with Messi he's a legend called Maladona
Maradona*
That's a legend Maradona won a world cup for Argentina before messi 👏
Opposition are generally not intimidated playing against top tiers,I think it's the opposite, it motivates them to play better
Ronaldo is more popular on the internet and especially with young kids because of his flashy goals and his personality, but on a worldwide level if you asked every human on Earth including those older people that dont use the internet much who they prefer I would bet my soul that the most popular answer would be Messi.
Untouchable goat he define perfect fooballer
He plays for Inter Miami in our league bro. Check out MLS, it's dope. You should react to last weeks MLS top goals video. Some bangers!
I don’t think you understand how rare a wolf cup is… it’s every 4 years and it’s against countries not clubs
And. He is continuing playing for next World Cup in UsA World Cup 2026
