The most impressive thing about Messi is that although he scores a lot of goals, he does more than just score goals. He assists, generates and dribbles. He made impossible things look easy
The MOST impressive thing about Messi is that he can run full speed and the ball is always glued to his foot. I've never seen another player with that kind of touch
he is the last true free roaming number 10, playing in an era where rigid positional shapes are the norm, playing for the coach that made that style popular in the first place. his vision, passing range and game intelligence allow him to play every position outside of defence at the highest level while also scoring an unprecedented amount of goals.
I’m Portuguese but Messi is simply the best there ever was in footballs. Been watching football for 30 years and never seen anyone that came remotely close to him.
7:19 That's called a "free kick". It's given whenever there's some sort of foul by the opposing team (forbidden tackle or hand ball) and you take it from the spot the foul was commited. When there's a free kick close enough to the goal net, where a player can potentially shoot directly to score a goal, then the defending team would normally form a "wall" of players, as an obstacle to try and block the shot. It takes significant skill to score a goal from a free-kick and even the best free-kick takers will miss most of their attempts throughout a season.
When I think about it, it's the anticipation. That's what football (soccer) is all about. Like a good thriller movie it can build up for 90+ minutes and then totally explode. For 3-4 or even 5 actions you think you know whats gonna happen but Messi will just ride the challenges, nutmeg the charging players and chip it over the keeper. Incredible, just incredible to witness in real time.
Messi has scored 827 goals in his career. Of them, 672 came wearing the colors of Barcelona, 106 with the Argentine National Team, 32 with PSG and 17 with Inter Miami.

You are the first American I have watched reacting to soccer and having some form of respect for the sport and paying attention to detail. Most others just think it's just scribble scrabble, but you caught a bit of the magic
he currently has 832 goals and 367 assists in 1057 games, the most trophies in football with 44 not including individual awards which he also holds records for.🐐👽⚽️🔥
Kicking ball between the legs is called a nutmeg, he loves to do this( its to humiliate the other player. He is predominantly left footed but still scores many with his right. Regularly plays in front of 80,000 people. What you are feeling is the joy of watching this player. Enjoy 👍👍👍
In futbol, there's a difference between club teams and national teams. So essentially Messi has played for Barcelona and Argentina simultaneously for most of his career. Only the best players are called up to play for their national countries. You can look at club teams as a Franchise teams, then national teams will play on special occasions. Similar to Team USA Basketball where they just play the Olympics and World Championship / FIBA world cup. National teams will play in different competitions every like the Copa America and Euro Cup (both are taking place this summer)
Lionel Messi was born in Argentina and signed as a teen to Spain's club Barcelona, where he made his professional debut at age 17 and won every Champions title w/ the club before he turned 30... He was given a choice to play for Argentina or Spain - he chose Argentina and won an Olympic gold medal and an Under-20 title... However, a title for Argentina seemed to elude him for over a decade... 4 World Cup appearances for Argentina since 2006 and closest he came was losing the 2014 WC final to Germany... 2 Copa America titles he lost in the final. But things turned around after 2020... Argentina won Copa America in 2021... Argentina won the Finalissima beating European champions Italy... and then, he and Argentina won the ultimate prize - a World Cup title in 2022 beating France (the 2018 defending champions) in the final. Messi left Barcelona in 2021 and played 2 seasons w/ French club PSG (Paris St. Germain) and won France's Ligue 1 title twice... At age 36, he signed for the final years of his football ⚽career w/ Inter Miami club in Major League Soccer in the USA where he's likely to retire. Messi will likely play his last matches for Argentina in Copa America 2024. Every football player ⚽can sign to play for a club team, preferably Europe, where the game is at the highest level of competition and intensity... the top 3 Leagues are - UK's Premiere League... Spain's La Liga... and Italy's Serie A. In Asia, there is the Saudi Pro League in Saudi Arabia... J-League in Japan ... Chinese Super League in China... etc. USA has the MLS (Major League Soccer)... Argentina has Argentine Primera Division... Brazil has Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A... etc. Depending on the player's country of citizenship, he/ she can sign up for the national team of that country... For example: Christian Pulisic is the #1 player from the USA and is the captain of the US men's national soccer team... and won the CONCACAF Nation's League title for the USA 3 times, recently in 2024 and played his first World Cup tournament for USA in 2022. Pulisic currently plays for Italy's Serie A club AC Milan which is #2 on the League table this season and will likely play in Europe's UEFA Champions League for AC Milan in the 2024/ '25 season (He previously won titles for Premiere League team Chelsea in the UK) A number of top US American football ⚽ players compete in Europe - Tim Weah plays for Juventus club in Italy w/ Weston McKennie... Folarin Balogun plays for Monaco club in France... Brenden Aaronson plays in Germany for Union Berlin... etc. One of the youngest goalscorers today is Jude Bellingham of England (age 20)... He currently plays for club Real Madrid in Spain's La Liga who are at #1 on the League table in 2024 season.
There is no one else to see! You've just seen the Goat of Goats when it comes to football! But, you could watch highlight videos that show his other great skills. He's the greatest passer, play-maker, and dribbler ever! And, when he decides to play defense and take the ball away from a player, he's almost certainly gonna get the ball. Or, if there is a long high ball coming into a cluster of players, if Messi is in that cluster, most of the time, he is the one who comes out of it with the ball. He dazzles at every phase of the game, which is why so many greats, like Beckham, have said that he is the perfect player.
Played most of his career for Barcelona in Spain, he is their greatest ever player, highest goalscorer in club history, highest assist in club history, highest goalscorer in Spanish La Liga history, while winning all domestic trophies European cups. He then, in his in his early 30's went to Paris St Germain in France, won all domestic trophies there aswel.Currently at Inter Miam in America. His is Argentinian and captained his Country to win the 2022 World cup. He is Argentina's all-time highest goalscorer. He has won every major trophy that a player can win for both club and Country. Has been the best player in the world for a given period 8 times, which is the record. There are so many more accolades that just can't be listed. But it's beyond the trophies and stats with Messi, he is incredible and special to watch, absolute art. He achieved all he has while overcoming a growth hormone problem when he was a child that could have stopped him before he even started, Barcelona signed and paid for his medical requirements to help him, which is why he is so loyal to Barcelona.
4:30 "And he did it off-balance" That's a good catch! If you ever try that (god forbid) going full speed, you're gonna get injured. It's not supposed to be possible!
Messi is basically soccer's Neo. Even now, as his athletic abilities wane, he can reshape the game as he sees fit. And I bet he'd look cool in sunglasses.
One thing that is very important to comprehend the concept. A player plays for his nation. While his career, he can play in whatever country he wants to, to join a club that represents NOT the nation, but the city the club was founded. In his example, he mostly played for Barcelona, a city in Spain. Btw. The numbers of views on your channel on this football video are outstanding. You need to upload more
Leo Messi began his professional career at FC Barcelona in Spain, one of the two largest teams in that country and one of the 3 most demanding leagues. In 2000, at the age of 17, he made his debut and scored his first goal, from then on. Moving forward everything is history he broke all existing records in football personally and collectively, winning absolutely all existing trophies in this sport and making new records with his team such as winning a "treble" which is winning the three most important cups in one season only one team had done it so far but he and FC Barcelona did the impossible that season they combined a "treble" in a "sextet" which is winning six cups in the same season, it is the only one in winning 8 gold balls, which is the award for best player of the season, the player who is still in that award has 5 gold balls, for that and more he is the GOAT of football
Hello brother! im Brazilian, we are know for beeing the best nation in football(soccer) history. Messi indeed is one of the bests, if not the best... but to me, personally, the impact that the great Pelé has, is unmatched. I really wish u could react to him. Cuz, more than a player, he was kinda like a pope, someone that can change people's mind and heart. Every move that u see players doing rn, Pelé did 50 years ago... we have amazing players overall, Ronaldo Nazario, Neymar, Ronaldinho, Rivaldo, Cafú, Bebeto, Kaká, Rogério Ceni, Zico and etc... u should check one of them aswell. If u are going into this world, u have to know about us! haha. Great reaction btw!
Look up best of Zlatan Ibrahimovic. He's got a mean streak and was a phenomenal player from Sweden. Messi is the goat but Zlatan also did some amazing things.
If you’ve got a couple hours and really want to see just his amazing goals….theres a video from 2023 called “Lionel Messi All 800 goals in career” it’s an epic video. Shout out to @MessiThaBoss for taking the time to do it. (And it’s not even his Miami era). Highly recommend to all past, present and future Messi fans.
take a moment to think about it, you say you have never watched this kin of football in your life, and still your really impressed, even without knowing the rules of the game. Thats how good a football player Messe is.
To see some snippets of Messi's greatness, I'd highly recommend watching "Messi vs Physics" , "Messi The GOAT" (by Magical Messi), and his entire world cup journey video i forgot who made. Messi's greatness extends beyond his performance on the pitch though. He's a humble, family man above all. Messi is the best ever in dribbling, passing, playmaking, assisting, goal scoring (2nd of all time behind cristiano ronaldo but still 1st in terms of goals produced vs amount of games played). He most definitely has highest IQ of any player ever. His consistency throughout the years is beyond unreal it's maddening. The most decorated player of all time in terms of team trophies and his individual trophies are, as far as I remember, well beyond a 100 trophies of all kinds he earned throughout his career and STILL earns at the age of 36 in Miami right now. Messi is far and beyond any and all that by the age of 25, he has had 4 Balon D'Or (best player in the world award) and at the age of 35 he had earned his 8th while world class upcomers like Haaland and Mbappe have yet to win it. Messi competed vs old generation when he was young and was winning over them. He was competing vs his own generation and absolutely smashed it. He is competing against future generation and is STILL winning. Currently in the world, no player at the age of 25 has a single best player in the world award, while Messi had 4 back then.
He didnt play for Spain, he played in the Spanish Premier League called La Liga. Europe is the biggest stage in World Football. However, Messi is argentinian. For example Nikola Jokic is Serbian but plays in the NBA. Come Olympics or FIBA he plays for Serbia. Same thing here.
Do you realise you are watching the god of this game? I'm sure you know football is the most popular/watched sport that's ever been! You say you've never watched or even studied this sport before and yet you watch the goat of the game for YOUR first time and that's fine, but you start with this man and you end with this man. Welcome to the perfection and beauty of this beautiful game 😁
Amazing reaction! I have a feeling youre really gonna like Messi's dribbling highlights hahaha. I'd like to suggest "Lionel Messi vs Physics" if nobody has already done so! And as for your questions! Messi has 827 career goals. He played for Barcelona, psg and Inter Miami (club football) and he simultaneously also plays for his country Argentina in international tournaments! He won the most recent World Cup woth Argentina in 2022. As for videos in general regarding football, I suggest "The Beauty of Football - Greatest Moments". Its got a lot of fantastic highlights from the entirety of the history of the sport, includes a lot of really great players/teams/goals/plays, and you can use it as a springboard to find new players to react to! Thank you for the reaction, it was a lot of fun to see you get really into it!

5:35 I saw some people give you some crap about this. As a proud Argentine (well, American, too) and huge Messi fan let me explain a little. When you play for the Argentine national team it’s…well, the national team. The Barca, or the FC Barcelona, is a football club, aka a team playing for a specific city (here, it’s Barcelona, Spain). He still played in the Argentine National Team and does so to this day (this is his last year.) He’s been playing for the National Team since 2005 and played for the first team (senior team) Barca from starting in 03, his first game taking place when he was just a few months past his 16th birthday. However, this was a substitution and his OFFICIAL 1st team debut was in 04. I know I’m missing stuff. I know he played for Newell’s Old Boys as a youth in (team is from Rosario, Santa Fe Province in Argentina) before transferring to Barcelona. His story is just…it’s insane lol. I remember seeing him come up and how every time we thought he’d outdone himself, he still found a way to outdo HIMSELF. A true 🐐🐐
It is not just NICE. First go to the field and start kicking the ball. When you know the difficulty involved you will appreciate the Miracle we have on the planet. What he does so easily few professional players can do in their lifetime
I am a Messi fan, and I started watching your video, by the way, a very good video, I laughed at your form, congratulations, the Messi issue is that in that Sport HE IS THE DADDY OF THE everyone
I kind of feel sorry for anyone who does not love football. Cuz they’ll never get to know the only perfect artist in the world for real Leo Messi is the only perfect artist ever. He is mysterious extraordinary magical genius..
He played for Barcelona for 17 years in the first team the best player in the history of the club but he was in Barcelona since he was 12 years old and he started in the first team when he was 17 years old
The fact that someone with 0 knowledge can enter a culture most of us spend our whole life indulging in and immediately tell they're an all time great serves to show how great Messi is. We're talking Pele, Mohammed Ali levels, in 50 years we're still talking about this man
You ask what player you should watch next and yet you've just seen the best of the best, he has a catalogue of chapters or shall I say videos of different types of genius that he is in the game of this sport, he's the best playmaker of all times whilst competing for the best goalscorer of all times into 1 player and been at the top of his game for 18 years it's unreal but since you are new to this you should check out some of the best entertainment the game has ever seen which is Ronaldinho and Ronaldo Nazario you won't be disappointed 🙂
Bro I watched football 20 years and I also make research I don't see like him bute there are also Cristiano Ronaldo fans but my idea I say he is the greatest off all time
Since you are a basketball fan the perfect way to describe Lionel Messi is Steph Curry with Lebron's stats and Jordan's trophy case, In other words simply unbelievable. PS: much respect for calling it football💯
He never played for Spain because he's not Spanish, he's Argentinian which is why he plays for their national team,Barcelona was his club,I notice a lot of Americans struggle with understanding playing for a club and playing for your country, dunno why it's pretty self explanatory really.
I need so bad for your reactions to the Qatar 2022 World Cup. There is a mini movie on UA-cam about it, showing the whole path of Messi and Argentina to win the cup I really like your reaction ❤
I almost fkn lost it when he asked how long he played for Spain 😂😂😂 He played in a Spanish club, never for the country hahahaha He is the best player you will ever lay your eyes on, as much as I love and respect Ronaldo, Messi was the guy who made you question reality, legends 🔥
Linoel Messi is from the City or Rosario Province of Santa Fe in Argentina. He played as a child in the Newell's Old Boys in Rosario Argentinal. He later went to Barcelona Spain where he debuted in the Barcelona team at the age of 17 years old. He played most of his career in Barcelona. Due to financial crisis in Barcelona, he went ot play in Paris Saint Germain (PSG0. Where he played I believe two years there. After, he won the World Cup in Qatar 2022, Messi left PSG and came to Inter Miami to play in the MLS in USA. I hope that this helps.
his dribbling looks so simple at times and u look at the defenders thinking what are u doing but put urself in their shoes at full speed and u had no chance.

he currently has 832 goals and 367 assists in 1057 games, the most trophies in football with 44 not including individual awards which he also holds records for.🐐👽⚽️🔥
Kicking ball between the legs is called a nutmeg, he loves to do this( its to humiliate the other player. He is predominantly left footed but still scores many with his right. Regularly plays in front of 80,000 people.
What you are feeling is the joy of watching this player. Enjoy 👍👍👍
He is the GOAT of football 🐐🇦🇷🔥
Pulisic currently plays for Italy's Serie A club AC Milan which is #2 on the League table this season and will likely play in Europe's UEFA Champions League for AC Milan in the 2024/ '25 season (He previously won titles for Premiere League team Chelsea in the UK)
A number of top US American football ⚽ players compete in Europe - Tim Weah plays for Juventus club in Italy w/ Weston McKennie...
Messi goat so far
Messi is the Goat
the best reaction ever dude!
He is not the biggest man of the pitch with big muscles but he is natural talent, God gifted him talent
Messi is not human, goat.
It's football
All I add is he was a star amongst stars! Those goals were against the best in the world.
By FAR the Greatest Player in History!
Messi is easily the Goat, Ronaldo is brilliant too. Ronaldinho is one of the most fun footballers to watch and my favourite team is Arsenal.
MESSI IS GOAT
Welcome to the Magic world of Artist Messi.
Exceot WC I never watch full games.Only if Messi plays and highlights of Messi ,My daily Dopamine dose
You need to upload more
The best in world history
HE IS SIMPLY___THE GOT OF THE GAME
He’s currently 830+ goals and over 360+ assists
Messi 🐐
Messi is the greatest player ever
The first head goal won a major, the Champions League, and yes, he Made a Lot of cross over like Allen Iverson
Messi played for Barcelona, Paris, and now he’s in inter Miami. Argentina is his nation. He has 838 total goals in his career
Greatest ever 🐐
take a moment to think about it, you say you have never watched this kin of football in your life, and still your really impressed, even without knowing the rules of the game.
Ok. You made so many questions that I would need too much space for answering them.

Argentina is his country and he played for a team in Spain called Barcelona.
Education is illegal in USA
No playmaker can score 800+ goals. No goalscorer can provide more than 300 assists except messi.
He played for Barcelona, PSG, and Inter Miami. For country, he represents Argentina.
He played for Barcelona for 17 years in the first team the best player in the history of the club but he was in Barcelona since he was 12 years old and he started in the first team when he was 17 years old
A good introduction to Messi is a video titled "Messi versus Physics." You probably should have reacted to that first, but you still can.
messi is from argentina he plays in the national team sinse hi is 17 , the other are euroean clubs he play (barcelona and paris sj)
@5:03 he played for Argentina his entire life; he didn't play for Spain, he played for Barcelona - a football club in Spain.
Last goal of the video was just exactly as Maradona's goal to the England team in World Cup 86.
Bro I watched football 20 years and I also make research I don't see like him bute there are also Cristiano Ronaldo fans but my idea I say he is the greatest off all time
There will never be a player with Messi's ability
Check out the Chelsea v Barca games from 2005 to 2010. They had some bangers. Check out Ronaldinho.
THATS FREE KICKS, MESSI IS MASTER OF FREE KICKS ❤
I need so bad for your reactions to the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
There is a mini movie on UA-cam about it, showing the whole path of Messi and Argentina to win the cup
I really like your reaction ❤
I almost fkn lost it when he asked how long he played for Spain 😂😂😂
He played in a Spanish club, never for the country hahahaha
He is the best player you will ever lay your eyes on, as much as I love and respect Ronaldo, Messi was the guy who made you question reality, legends 🔥
Best doesn't need any explanation u watch and Praise
his dribbling looks so simple at times and u look at the defenders thinking what are u doing but put urself in their shoes at full speed and u had no chance.
