Seriously, I always felt like they should have finally, once and for all, reconciled with their discomfort with Janice and said they'd like to have her live next door. I think that would have been sweet. As it is, Janice always, unknowingly got the short end of the stick.

2:45 - 4:35 The entire sequence is so damn good. It really shows how both Chandler and Monica have grown as a character. Chandler used to be scared at the thought of a wedding, and here he is planning his future with Monica. Monica wanted a big wedding since she was a little girl, but now she realised that it's far more important to find the right person than a fancy marriage. Plus, the dialogues and their toned down voices really add to the scene. Mondler is really the cutest couple in TV history.
I think it's totally insane to pay all that money for a wedding. I would never do that.
It's just a show, but the principle still holds. When you find the person you want to be with then you can live without spending 6+ months of wages on a single day.
@@Gebrueder_Glatze Completely agree. Spend more on the honeymoon, throw some into the mortgage, buy a couple of good quality applicances for you new life. Write to everyone who is miffed about missing out on a free meal and tell them how much you mean to them.
Ross has two weddings paid for by her parents, one in London, I don’t think she’s unreasonable for expecting a big one for herself
@@carlaconnor8347 Yes, if you refer to the parents' money. But those are Chandler's savings. I always found her unquestionable idea of having a huge wedding even though she can't pay for it on her own quite... unsettling.

Never thought about that, but totally true. An intellectual who loves technicalities, scientific rule, and is inherently selfish vs. a free spirit who hates rules, celebrates alternative thinking, and loves helping others.

She does it so much that the show starts calling her out for it in the last couple of seasons.
She's also really fucking entitled about her alternative way of life constantly trying to enforce it to others whether it's her vegan ideas(see the Christmas tree episode), her obsession with antiques, her faux disdain for big massage corporation etc etc.

Monica and Chandler is probably the most organic relationship on TV. Never felt pushed or weird, just natural and real. Compared to that Ross and Rachel was way toxic and over-scripted.

Chandler's lines here are kinda prophetic. They indeed had twins (although, a boy and a girl). They also got a house outside the city and Joey has a room on it. It's also funny that in another episode, Chandler jokingly said that aliens abducted him and conducted experiments on him so he can't have a child.
