Range Rover L322 Secret Menu & using it do debug SATNav GPS issues

- In this video which is dedicated to "Nick" who is struggling with his satnav as it currently tells him he is in the North Sea ! We wander into the secret menus to look at the raw data for the GPS Satellites - our car is working and showing readings for the signal strength - but Nick has all Zeros so i suspect it is a problem with the roof antenna !
Do you know if this secret screen could turn on the "AUX" or "TV/DVD" softkeys on the touchscreen? I only have the CD and Radio softkeys on the display since i do not have the rear entertainment package. I am looking to use one of the AUX OR TV/DVD audio inputs to install an auxiliary cord or bluetooth for audio into a 2006 HSE. I do have bluetooth phone capabilities but not audio.
Ha Ha ! Simon, this could give you a bad day ! That is why I never start pushing buttons on mine, it can turn a perfectly usable vehicle into a monument !
You will not get the correct date info because of the GPS Week Field error (field was designed to small and started again at zero about April 2019). Unless someone manages to fix the DENSO Firmware.
Your information video also applies to Disco3 and RRsport 2005-2010 Models
Was hoping these codes would work for the Disco 4 too, but haven't. Where did you source the codes from? Google has been almost useless. Curious to see if I can change the wheel diameter one, since mine has different wheels and the speedo is out. Have you catalogued these codes on your site?

Code 2121 allows you to use navigation while driving....... I have a 2007 sport and 14 series 2 DISCOVERYs.

Any idea how you get to this menu on the 2014 freelander 2 (hard disk version NOT the DVD ones) I found it once and can’t remember how I got to it. 😂😢
Hi about 2 years ago I fitted a new ariel to the roof on my 2006 RRS from your company to solve a problem on my sat nav, it made no difference so I left it. I have just fitted an upgraded disc and still it doesn't know where it is. I've just watched your video and the secret menus and I have no sat signals from the satellites all showing 00, any ideas what I can try. Thanks
The only remaining thing could be the wiring or connections at the rear of the unit

I've just tried all these on my sc 2006. 2121 and 1791 dont take me into a menu but something has unlocked sat nav while driving. The 134679 took me to a new menu including a mysterious 'override' button. What's that do?
1791 - Normally Sat Nav destination entry isn't possible whilst driving, the code 1791 "unlocks" this restriction so that a passenger can enter a destination whilst the car is moving.
Try the code "1971". I discovered that code for the jag infotainment when I was 12 and had a video up on my old channel. Shows the exact same menus as above. 917 was the jag code for the first menu I'm your video where it says cycle ignition to restart, which actually worked on the jag.
1971 also had a "misc" menu but that was the best part, it let you select and deselect a lot of cool extras and dealer options.
Just to clarify, both systems are the same, just different button layout etc
Thanks Simon, I've tried this out on mine again, but still no gps, strange that it worked perfectly well before I had the work and respray done, and they don't have a ramp to smash it into the ceiling with. I'll keep trying until my patience runs out, and be forced to buy a new antenna.... cheers guys, great job once again!

to exit the menu, just press another button. Comes straight out.
Hi, when I press the sat nav button on my L322 2006 vogue it comes up with Navigation not fitted. I can’t eject the disc as well. Any ideas what the problem might be?
Hi I’ve got a Range Rover Sport 2010 with tv tuner it’s showing a tv tuner fitted in the menu but it doesn’t show the tv/ dvd icon on the screen any ideas

@ 2 : 5 1 on the GPS Information screen you have 12 satellites that show up but only receiving 3 at the moment... as for me I have 10 satellites that show up but i'm receiving 7 at the moment... under "St" on your screen, you have the letter "T" but on my screen they are "P"... under "ID" on your screen you have nothing showing up but on my screen they are 8 numbers beside each satellites (26, 31, 22, 3, 16, 32, 4, and 29 ) ,,the last number 29 says "Lev is 0" and St" is "-"..... I have "Date(gmt)" of 07/20/2002 13:58:53..... "HDOP" is 2.1... "Lattitude is N43'xx'xx" and "Longitude is W079'xx'xx" { I used "x" because of privacy} .. and "Meas.Stat" is 3D.
I just want to tune my 08 RRS S/C. Do any of you know a code that allows you to unlock that aspect of the vehicle so I can hook it to my hptuner?
at 2 : 2 5 we have the same date (06/26/07) mine is a 2006 RRSS, and same Part no. but my S/W ver is 1090 and map ver is U.S. V.03.11.01 ... maybe mine is a U.S. vehicle because I live in Canada

Hello everyone, I have a 2008 LRRRSC L322. With smoke coming from around the front dash speaker, the radio and screen comes on but I have no sound and my battery has drained. Does anyone have any idea what could be the problem?

Hi replaces them still happens just drove it for 300 ks and it stopped 5 times stop turn off restart and away it goes have had the issue for two years
Hi - sorry what is the issue you are having ? can you claify.
Just saw your comment below.... you sort of replied in the wrong place... not too worry. You need to get the car to a garage and get the fault code read. The MAF sensors have been an issue for me in the past.
powerfulukltd hi have had codes read numerous times nothing came up it’s a two hour drive to garage happens on way to garage even left it with them for a week to drive nothing happened went to pick it up and went into restricted mode on way home just about ready to put a match to it
@@bernardmccann7676 Hi - i am feeling your pain - you need to buy an IID tool and read the fault codes yourself - the guys at GAP Diannostics ( that make IID tool ) will help you find the route cause of the problem - you can keep it in the car and plug it in and read the code on your phone etc.
Informative but lacking somehow. How about a video on the MOST fiber optic network in the L322? How about doing something like replacing a Denso Navigation ECU that was fried by rain water entering through aged seals in the left rear quarter panels? I've read somewhere that every module on the MOST network has a unique code so people can't just swap in a replacement from their local friendly wrecking yard. Is that true and if so, how can the system be updated with the replacement part's unique ID number. Come on guys. Enough of the simple mechanical stuff. How about something really technical. It only takes a Torx driver and some visual inspections to diagnose a bad MOST module such as the DVD changer, Blue tooth transmitter, etc.,etc.

Great video I have a 2010 sport TDV8 when driving along it goes into limp mode restricted performance anybody out there have an answer was supposed to be dream car turned into a nightmare happens every time we drive it HELP
I had the same problem on my l322 TDV8 2010. Turned out to be an intercooler hose. £30 from Land Rover, fitted myself in 10 mins. Hopefully your problem is as easy to resolve.
Gixer Will have already changed hoses just been on trip stopped five times in restricted mode turn off and start all good till next time worst part is sometimes pass a lot of cars and next minute lol
I had this with my TDV8 2010 and it was a small split in one of the turbo hoses. (There are 2 on top front of the engine, so easy to replace). I went for the silicon versions as this is a common issue with standard hoses.
I had a similar problem with my 2010 TDV8 drove me crazy, then someone mentioned the EGR valve causes problems so had it fixed by blanking it off. Has run like a dream ever since.

@@L663 ,,,,,,actually i may be slighty off, azimuth would appear to be the arc from north to south that the signal is in, so when you have a satellite dish it sees a wider area from each side of the dish and then focuses it in a single beam

Hi, bit of a random question but I have a 2000 P38 and I'm looking for an adapter lead for the radio that will allow all my speakers and bass in the rear to work correctly with my dab bluetooth kenwood head unit, and I have the Alpine system in mine with Harman Carden audio, is there anything you stock or can get for this?
