I listened to "Riding for a fall" and liked that song, I looked up Chris LeDoux and discovered a great cowboy man that makes good music. You are still gaining new fans long after death and I'm one of them. Thank you and RIP.
I was raised a country boy in Northern Minnesota, but I LOVE running out west. Love listening to Chris while running 18 wheels down the asphalt of Colorado, Montana, Wyoming, and Idaho.
I'd be listening to this kind of music rollin with my dad in his 18 wheeler as a kid... some of my best memories in life are running back and through the mountains of Colorado. Conceived in Texas, born and raised in Colorado and proud!
Also a northern Minnesota boy was raised listening to Chris and still do and always will been traveling through Montana and Wyoming and it's some beautiful country out there 🖒
Another northern Minnesota country boy here. I spent some time working on a horse farm in Colorado near Denver and looking up at the Rockies every morning while listening to this song just made it all feel right.
live in Arizona and saw him play many times👍 I'm so sorry he is gone !! I know if theres a Heaven no one messes with your Cow Boy hat ,haha. no body messes with mine. that song is a life of my own. If so and are looking for a helper I'd love to be in contact my email is wyattclark344@gmail.com. I'm also from Arizona I currently live in Winslow Az. I'm 17 at the moment but will be 18 on christmas and would love the experience!
Im the seventh generation to be born and raised in Central Alberta. I'm the seventh generation to be brought up on the country, taught to respect women, and work hard for what I have, and I'm damn proud of that.
it is! i went up to budweiser ranch and branded their cattle on my channel snowy owl ranch. I live in colorado but want to go hunt there soon!! how hard was it to grab a tag?
I thank the good Lord and all the men and women that have served to ensure our freedom and give us the opportunities to enjoy a country like this I was fortunate enough different times in my life to be in this kind of country and while I was serving in the Army I thought many times of places like this
Been listening to Chris since his start in country music. Used to travel with a friend who rode rodeos and Clay got me into his music, put Clay into the mood to ride broncos and bulls. Broke a few horses on my grandfather’s farm, but I myself lasted about 3-4 seconds on one of those rodeo horses, never tried it again.
just listen for the 1st time, awesome music and man.i grow up listening to southern rock in the 70's,this music is what I've been searching for,any other singing cowboys around.
Doesnt get much more country than Chris Ledoux. He captures the epitome of Cowboy 🤠. 37 now and I've been rocking him and this song since I was knee-high to a grasshopper, seen him at the Pendleton Round up here in my he state of OR. What a great artist and more
The first song I heard by Chris I was a minimum wage dishwasher at the time was bringing glasses to the bar next door and this song was playing on cmt and I thought this guy gets it love Chris's music rip cowboy!

My ex wife won tickets and back stage passes to go see him at a club named Mama's in Atlanta in 1998. I was so excited and he put on a great show. We stood in line forever after the show to meet him. And then we get back there and he was was standing there with a sharpie with one boot against the wall. He didn't even have a table. He signed a few things for us including a tee shirt a Budweiser cap and a Copenhagen can. He was a great singer, rodeo hand, and a great man
When I tell people I hate country I mean I hate modern country I'm 20 years old and this is what I call actual country not that depressing my girlfriend left me type stuff🤘❤❤❤

Very Nice video. Love the Cowboy's music, always have. Most folks will see that Llama with the cattle and not have a clue why he's there. A while back Llamas were popular with the trail mix crowd that were clueless about horses and mules so they went with pack Llamas. For quite a while now there's been a surplus of them and folks have been giving them away for many years. They make great cattle sentries against lions and wolves and their natural alertness, curiosity and aggression makes them Lion bait. Better a free Llama than a calf or a cow. It was cool your next picture was a lion. Happy Trails from Wyoming.
I listen to the song when im on the way to my stand and the first time i drove my new truck ( at the time ) i listen to the and i walked to the stand and listened and then shot my biggest buck ever 12 point with my bow at 18 yards
I'm biased so take this with that in note. Who would live elsewhere? People come to vacation in Montana from all over the world and living in Great Falls I have it all within 1 hr away. 4th generation MT boy here and damn proud of it. My sis lives in Casper WY and that is the only other state I will vouch for. Biased of course and I have respect for others but not like us 2.
Sitting here in south Texas drinking a nice cold lone star beer in honor of chris

Storm clouds are building above the timber line
The lightning's flashing across the mountain side
The thunder's rollin' down the canyons of his mind
Somewhere beyond the great divide
The bugle of the bull elk echos through pines
The north wind moans her lonesome lullaby
He hungers for the freedom of an eagle as she flies
Somewhere beyond the great divide
He's heard the call of the wild
He's heard the call of the wild
The mountains callin' to him like a mother calls her child
He's heard the call of the wild
Livin' in the city oh it gets to be a grind
Puttin' in his hours workin' overtime
Waitin' for the day he can leave it all behind
To go somewhere beyond the great divide
He's got to get away from the city for a while
He's gotta answer the call of the wild
He's heard the call of the wild
He's heard the call of the wild
The mountains callin' to him like a mother calls her child
He's heard the call of the wild
Livin' in the city oh it gets to be a grind
Puttin' in his hours workin' overtime
Waitin' for the day he can leave it all behind
To go somewhere beyond the great divide

First book I ever read, Call of the Wild by Jack London. I'd like to think that Jack was reincarnated as a singing cowboy. Thanks Chris.
I can relate to this song
Most people don't treasure Wyoming until they have been there and then they understand.
