Really reminds of the Marvel "What If" Episode about Doctor Strange, that consumed all these various monsters to get stronger. Nearly identical type of style of magic, the tentacle arm and such.

I thought they were just going paraversal cuz it is strikingly similar to strand in destiny, and these two both came out at the same time so I thought the universe was having a little laugh at our expense.
It still baffles me that they can do classes like this but aren't able to add a single new weapon type to the game
I do not mean to be demeaning or rude when I ask this, just curiosity. What do you suggest they add if they do add another weapon type/types?
Too much work. Easier to just add animations not tied to weapons. Imagine having to introduce all the motif types for a new weapon.
They would be better off just adding Unarmed skill line - like a Spell Book you hold or even just a pair of Spell Gloves. That way we get new skills and animations but don't need the weapon motifs.
@@GalaxyFoxx418 Unarmed would be cool so they could introduce a monk class. Or fist weapons like claws. Maybe chakrams and scepters like in Kingdoms of Amalur, if you played it. Those are the only ones I can think of that could possibly still fit the lore.
One handed and magic so we can battlemage it up like Gandalf. After that spears are the two biggest missing weapons. I definitely am regretting resubbing this year. I thought I would like the class and chapter more than I am but it's been totally meh so far.

The heal skill tree looks insane 🤯💚
I'm excited about the beam. It will be extremely useful in certain instances where we have to pixel stack or line up. Z'Maja comes to mind when we have to stack on tail in Cloudrest.
It's a minor complaint but I do wish they would make the taunt skill fire from the left hand and not hide your weapons. I get why runeblades needs to hide your weapons because of the book, but it feels weird when you're tanking and one of your primary skills makes your weapon/shield just vanish into thin air.
Or you know, they could give all skills that do that the hard cast crystal frags treatment where your weapon just gets sheathed. Or at the very least let us dye gloambound weapons green/give a green variant.
They often do that with class skills, that way they don't have to animate all weapon skill lines.
It's why I use the Gloambound Weapons style on most of my characters. Conjuring a magic staff, sword or shield and having it disappear when casting a spell looks much better. Plus you don't get the clipping of the weapons when you sheathe them and walking around town. Makes much of the armour motifs look so much better.

Looks really good and I’m hyped to play on Monday. Only thing I think is a missed opportunity, is another pet in the skill tree. U could really come up with some nice pets with this class :).
That Helmet is super dope. I'm going to be needing that when it comes out.

@@davedavidson8892 He didn't need to. the star eye is controlling him. it sees just fine... a whole guild needs to get these helmets and be Starro drones.

My biggest gripes are the ultimates. Im bummed that the tank ultimate is just a rescined Eclipse…
I wish necromancer got this much effort put into it don’t really feel like a necro being able to summon one skeleton for 20 seconds

@@allyjay7395 Lmao that is the worst one for me cause wtf do tombstones have to do with necromancers? They could have at least let us summon zombies like the npc necromancers. Not to mention anyone can walk out of it along with the life siphon aoe
@@Poisonedwightyea the whole necromancer class was a huge let down and with how apparently bad they are, it’s really frustrating that we got what we got. Aesthetically and functionally such a boring and underwhelming addition.
I’m glad they stepped it up with the Arcanist but at the same time, I don’t get why necromancer was just so shit tier.

Question, if you have time and or feel like it. Can you make a video about what DLCS you recommend buying? Specifically which ones are the most important and which ones that aren’t really worth the money. I just came back to ESO haven’t played since 2021. And I’m overwhelmed with so much stuff to get. And I honestly don’t wanna pay for ESO+ because it can be a bit pricey. If you could that would really help out a lot. ❤
Hey, what I would do if you're planning to get Necrom is get the upgrade Collection that includes all main chapters that's like $60. The important features are included with the chapters. You don't really need any of the DLCs unless you really want to do group dungeons or something in them. Occasional Plus is nice to have if you can. Like I sub during event, do the stuff in DLC zones while it's active, then cancel.

@@Alcasthq I don't know who makes these decisions at ZOS but when they saw the D4 release date announcement at the end of last year they shouldn't have doubled down on their usual chapter release in June but instead released it later. I wasn't sure whether I was going to pick up the new chapter but now I definitely see no point since I won't be playing until fall anyway and by then I might as well wait for the mandatory christmas sales anyway. I don't see any scenario where they don't lose money, hype or long terms interest over this decision.

They are basically the shield priest from WoW with a few little unique things... high shield hps, aoe heals to top off your raid and strong burst single target
not really but the Priest I'm familiar with was up to Cata. This is more like the Rune spell system they scrapped that was originally going to be a runemaster class then it was integrated with Death Knight and pretty much scrapped from the original to what they had on launch. Things like Priest had are in the resto staff line and some of the Templar line.

Is Magicka builds still reliant on staves? One of the main reasons I quit playing is because I had to have a dumbass staff in my hand while playing a mage. Thanks in advance.
Backbar yes, but front bar is either staff or daggers now. Highest dps on mag is dw daggers front bar and back bar 2h greatsword

I've noticed none of the classes abilities are marked as criminal acts, which is strange since you're using magic beyond normal understanding and it's very alien. I'm curious why this isn't the case.
“No aunts, uncles, or family pets were harmed in the making of this spell” May be their answer. In real life everyone would be freaked out by the base game classes outside of templar.
Sorcerer can summon daedra already, and that's legal apparently, so same reasonimg I guess
Zos doesn't do well with immersion.
Necromancy is illegal because it messes with the natural cycle of life and death. Practicing the magics of apocrypha is in nature similar to a sorcerer practicing dark magic and daedric summoning. Aslong as it is controlled it is fine
Dark elves worship daedra, and Hermaes Mora is a Daedric Prince. (And I would assume he would be a popular one too, at least to wizards and such)

good lord, after seeing this I just... WW needs a visual update, and all the OG classes REALLY need a visual update. WW especially... those textures are straight from 2002

no class or skill line has an aoe taunt in eso. the devs specifically designed it that way because they dont want tanks to be aoe taunting.

Yes I also found that odd. Necro had way more stamina based skills. However, Necro also only had 1-2 stam skills until Class Reps gave them feedback early on and they changed more to stamina based skills.
Apparently, for some skills especially in the damages skill line, the cost is determined by what is higher magika or stamina

I do like the looks of it haha. These are both new cosmetics that will come during the Necrom year.
Next class I'm looking forward to is a beast tamer type, where you can tame animals and monsters in the wild and use them in battle
First animal I will tame will be a Griffin
@@sacredpower7530 That'd be cool. This way it'll encourage exploration of all territories, as one would search high and low to tame animals of different types.
Perhaps you'd need to tame a certain amount to unlock a morph, for example. Anything to switch up the standard gameplay tbh.

This expansion really makes me want to get ESO, but I just wish they had private servers or offline mode, I don't really enjoy multiplayer games.

those vamp skills are more than enough to make a vampire themed build only thing that should be changed is the ultimate visual wise.
Portal needs a longer range I think >.> most of the mobility skills takes you off faster from point A to point B as it is
Arcanist Gate range is 22m. Vampire Mistform range is 15m. Sorcerer Streak range is 15m. Warden Gate teleport is 28m but only teleports enemies. Nightblade Ambush teleport is 22m but only to enemies. Are there other mobility/teleport skills??
@@Mr-Meadows I am aware of the meters, that's why I didn't say it's range felt short. I said that there are other skills that takes you faster from point A to point B.
I suggesting extending the RANGE to make up for the delay it takes to form the gates and then step into them.
Mistform tp is almostinstant, streak is instant AND spamable. Arcanist gate has a delay and a cd. Hence why I think it makes it less viable ^^
The desperately need new magicka weapons and skill color settings.
In my opinion I think Dunmer is the best race for this class for balance resource.

There were 2, but ye Necro had 4-6 I think when it launched. But also only because we gave feedback early on during playtesting and they changed some to stamina morphs.
I did find it odd that they only gave the Arcanist 2.

Very sad this is an exclusive class vs an inclusive class we can pick from like skill lines. A deadric cult world clsss like hiricne the vampire classes would have been a fresh new direction for this game to refresh thr play of all clases and builds.
Looks kinda cool bit I'm not starting all over again or paying for this to start over again. Just sucks we can't continue to advance in the game, instead we start over and over every few months for one reasons or another.
I do hope they do a rework on the necro like the other classes because they really don't use dead bodies enough, and their skills are very tactical and slow, but meh
huh I hoped that the dps tree had more stamina morphs but it still looks awesome.
Most of the skills change their resource based on your highest stat. So if you spec stamina, the abilities will cost stamina instead of magicka, and vice versa. (Not all of them though)

Alcast, I wish I could dm you but I can't so I have to hope you read this here. You have always been my go to number 1 for builds but since my return after a year break, your builds are not great. You are a phenomenal player and you can do any content but why have your builds all started to look the same. I've also found a few errors in your written content..is it poor editing? Have you been too busy with real life...i hope so cos then you have a goid excuse. I dont want to keep hearing from guild members how bad your builds are anymore. I tend to be a bit of a guild gypsy and so i move around, try out new guilds and i keep hearing this about you in many different well established guilds and it hurts. Please come back to us. You worked so hard to make a name for yourself Alcast but it's slowly fading and I keep hearing other names being mentioned for eso builds and i feel mad cos you were always my go to guy. 😢
Fix your broken builds cos they are not working so well as other builds out there. Ive been your fan for too long to quit on you now. I've always loved how you set out your content for your builds.
I hope you are well and if you are too busy to focus so much on eso now then it's forgivable cos real life comes first. I like to be honest with people I respect and like. Im not here to waste my time trolling.

Zos really said they weren’t going to release another class and did it anyway and lied about prioritizing QoL fixes and server lag
Imagine all class skills got new visuals and updates like the arcanist! The animations on this class are sweet!
My Arcanist vampire is pretty much my favorite character to use, although - I don't know why, but I feel like I'm slowly losing interest in ESO. Keep getting my butt kicked at Tribute, and after writs, I get stuck wondering what I want to do on the game.

Hey Alcast, I understand webpages cost money, but you have GOT to Kill the insanity of ads on your webpage. Ads cover up info on your website. There only needs to be 1 or 2 ads on the page...not the 6-10 I keep getting, worse, they're the same frickin ads...and again, makes your webpage horrible to navigate. You should figure it out so it's not such a mess. Your webpage currently has so much crap going on with it that's only ads, it's difficult to navigate.
Please listen to someone trying to give advice. Your webpage looks more like a crappy advertisement webpage than a webpage to get information from.

@@Alcasthq What would be cool is if it was a seamless short range teleport like the void rifts in blackreach. Just make that into a new skill and it would be the most fun mobility ability there is. (A lot better than the trash they turned mist form into) The only people the portal will benefit are the ones that wouldn't hesitate to exploit out of bounds areas in battlegrounds and stuff like that.
Class seems pretty good… give it 3-4 months and they’ll nerf it to becoming nearly unplayable
Did they? I was thinking of buying it, I haven't really been able to get back into ESO. Couldn't transfer progress from ps4 but idk this new class. What do you think? I have necro Ive never really played too. I will only play pve. I have a magblade but idk its boring.
