    Hi sir great explanation! Just one quick question to see if I understood the lesson... Practically if I have an EWG group with lone pairs this will lead to a different product respect to the Felikin-Ahn model in order to minimize lone pairs' repulsions and to maximize orbitals interaction lowering the LUMO. However if this group is able to do a chelation TS with a metal cation the product I will obtain is THE SAME as in the Felkin-Ahn model... is it correct?

    *Isn't the front carbon sp2 hybridised? Then how can be the c=o and c-H bond lie in 180°? It should be 120° angle between them.*

      Yes, it's 120°

      You got it in wrong way! The drawing depicts the atoms are on the same plane the angle is not 180°
