Lol, it's true. if you know how to play the guitar you can see it's an act. Though, I'm looking forward to seeing him with Jerry and Glenn in September
I don't care what anyone says...When the Misfits came back from the dead in 96 and went on tour; they killed. I was able to see them in Hollywood in 1996, one of the best shows I have ever been too. This was a great line up.
I love this song "Death comes ripping". It's sad that Misfits splitted just after that, cause I'd loved to see them keep going in this thrash-metal way of playing they got in "Earth AD". This song is thrash metal played in a punk way.
I think I can appreciate this lineup better knowing that I'm gonna see the ORIGINAL Misfits for the 2nd time this Halloween... I saw this lineup back in 96... At the time, beggars couldn't be choosers... 😆
I was first row at the Dallas show on Halloween weekend. Actually my second Misfits show, I’ve seen them back in May 2018 when they played in Newark. Such a great band, my favorite one for sure!
esse é o melhor registro do Misfits ao vivo, se a banda não tivesse sido tão conturbada na história eu imagino como seria foda os registros da época do Danzig e do Graves.
It may have been Spooky Kids, but without Manson's touch - Antichirst Superstar came out in 1996, and Manson's 1 album with the kids was released 1994, and got a US gold disc (I think that means 500,000 sales). Whether the spooky kids are Manson's backing band or split and did their own thing, I dunno.
Seen em at blue note in Columbia mo around this time I was a teenager got thrown on stage twice met band after show Fuckin awesome my favorite concert ever…forever a Fiend
se entiende hermano, pero es sabido que sin el entrenamiento vocal que Misfits le dio a Graves para pulirlo antes de entrar, no sería ni la mitad de lo que fue (porque se fue de Misfits y la decadencia fue notoria)
@zacbrewer97 good to see rhe younger generation get into misfits. i was a late bloomer as well, I heard them first in 98 after American Psycho. Misfits still kick ass!
but at least jerry kept the legacy of the misfits alive. sure they sound different with jerry singing instead of danzig or graves or hideous, and dez instead of doyle, but he kept the band going. plus on the albums, he doesnt sound that bad.
i don't think he forgot the lyics he sings the words the right way, I think he had way too much fun in this live show, if you watch it all, plus he is stoned AF lol
Awesome stage presence. That's one big problem the Misfits have nowadays, the lack of stage presence. They need to be a four piece band. I guess that's a major problem with horror-punk bands in general. Stage presence is so important for the band, yet when they lose a member, or go from a four piece band to a three piece band, it just isn't the same.
Why the fuck is Death Comes Ripping so slow? Golly gee...and I was really looking foward to watching this. Guess I'll just make due. I love the way Jerry "plays" bass.
I love Michael Graves to death, but he's no substitute for Danzig.... You can clearly see how the chem changed, Doyal or whatever those other people picking up for the lack of vocals....hANd passion. They gave Graves every platform he could possibly take off from...
Oddly, I saw them on this tour and remember Graves being MUCH better than this. This was their first tour back, so they were only doing the old material, and Graves was basically just doing his best Glenn impression (which was surprisingly good). Not sure what happened here, but he doesn't sound nearly as good as I remember.
doyle doesn't "play" his guitar, he beats it into submission.
It had it coming.
Dudes epic af
He beat meat out of that guitar;)
Good solos, lead 🎸 guitarrist.

Graves era was the best era, he turn misfits music to real horror punk ;)
Saw em twice, the Graves era was awesome
@@Bartezwon nah danzig era was better but graves sang very good live
@@Obtainedcoot nobody else can beat 'danzig
@@Bartezwon I love the graves era, but what you just said is so stupid you don't know what horror punk really is
3:17 Graves singing "shut your pretty mouth" looking at doyle LOL

Earth AD is a fucking masterpiece and the best misfits album imo
Love that moment in die die when graves and doyle r both jus rocking out. Then doyle walks away cracking up.

Graves has a great voice.. like what he does with danzig's songs from the older misfits albums hes great :D

Doyle’s a fucking machine!
Saw this tour in New Jersey back in 1997.
wow, i love this band. i can't get enough
one of the few misfits live videos with good sound quality +5
i hate the glenn/graves comparisons, they are totally different people from different eras, i love glenn fits, but dammit i love graves fits too...
Trüe
OMFG !!! genious !!!! I can't describe how much I love them
I just started to listen to them last year and im 13 they are the best

Legal que eles tão quase nós anos 2000 e a qualidade do áudio continua dos anos 80
os caras tinha público pequeno, quem filmava isso era algum fã com uma câmera duvidosa, óbvio que não vai sair coisa boa
This version of Death Comes Ripping is pretty fuckin' awesome.
I actually liked "Die Die My Darling" better with Graves. I still love Glenn, but you have got to face it... that was fucking awesome!
0:40 when you sing your song but you forgot the lyrics to the song so you mumble the song so it could sound like you sing right

does anyone know how to play the into on drums to this song? like the fill i cant figure it out
It's just quads, bro. Pretty simple.
❤
lmbo good question lmbo "u legend"
Oh those people got Doyle's arm bands. Lucky them!
How come the strings in Doyle's guitar do not break? Are they made of adamantium and titanium?
Must be. Doyle is strong as hell
Just saw them in Newark. Doyle had to switch guitars like three times. 😂 He absolutely abuses his instruments.
🔥💣👊
@KrmsnX he still is!
jerry rocks!
MIchael Graves !!!
The spooky kids was Marylin Manson's band
BRING BACK GRAVES!!!
Aww... Jerry is getting a belly :) his ab just barely show :D
Hey …. 10 years later I’m here to say that Jerry has two abs now .
this line up rippz ! i saw the misfits in 81 this show is way better! danzig is the og but graves go's hard! doyle is da killer!
@jellobiafria You're right. Sorry. I have the Danzig lyric book and I got it signed by Glenn himself so ever since he signed it, I dont touch it. haha
@DarkOracleOfDeath cradle of filth's version is a much more darker one but still kicks ass
LOL what is he doing from 0:43 - 0:49!?!?!?
What he usually does, forgets the lyrics.
Охуеть, какие здоровые мужики!
"Fiend for Life"
hehe
that sounds Fucking Great
Misfits Rules... (^_^) \m/
I dont think they've had 20 members. they usually have som1 ft. who isn't in there band to do drums or guitar for em tho
jerry looking a bit tubby there

They're a band, they likely supported this show.
singing "death comes ripping"
LOL.. he looked at him like "mmmmm ok? O_o..." and then moved to the other side of the stage XD
hahah 3:18
Graves messed up a few times in death comes ripping
i know, i was replying to the guy 2 comments down..
actually, he clearly stops singing within the parameters previously mentioned.
He was was like the 3rd guitarist of the band. Alot of people liked Bobby Steele better.
this one goes out to h2o nd sick of it all
at 2:08 when he refers to the "spooky kids" that's MARILYN MANSON who broke out a year later
Marilyn Manson had been playing for a few years by 1997. They weren't talking about him.
spooky kids =manson
Ruben Sanchez I was going to say the same thing, awesome
@@armandonorig Nope, this is 1997. Manson had already done like 3 records.
