Considering what I have read online about two projector setups.. the 3d vip box is just a fancy HDMI splitter for usd 999. People have done it with normal splitters.
I've watched your video several times over the years. I love that the 3D-VIP Evolver unit detects the left and right streams from the 3D video and converts them for you automatically. I'm so close to purchasing one finally, but I have one question. Is there an updated version of the 3D-VIP Evolver unit that supports 4k? I want to buy two 4k projectors as they are so cheap now. So if I want to play a 4K movie, I won't have to change my wiring every time and bypass the 3D-VIP Evolver unit/converter and plug my HDMI directly into one of my projectors. It's not deal breaker to have to do this, but just wondering.

@@juliecatona Thanks for the quick reply. :) One more thing, did the filters you had taped to the front of the projectors ever become an issue, for example with melting or warping due to the heat from the projector bulb? I've seen some people using expensive glass filters instead to avoid this. Did you end up going with the glass ones eventually?
@@darksorcerer1575 The best Dolby style filters and glasses are made by Omega production - www.studio3d.com/omega3d/ We used these filters and glasses to the perfection - better than passive linear (IMAX) and circular (RealD). Understood. However, I am getting a fantastic 3D with my setup. I think the combination of the 3D-Evolver with the Spectra filters and glasses is so forgiving - in terms of the alignment and the accuracy of the setup - that you get a great picture regardless of minor modifications.

Yes they do! But I would recommend contacting info@3d-vip.com, and they will tell you what filters/glasses are compatible- but I know that the real-D glasses work:) Hope that helps!
Do you think this set up is better that the Epson 3020 or the Benq w1070 for watching 3d movies or your own sbs photos that you take with a 3d camera? I'm going to buy one of these projectors .........I've never heard of the evolver set up that you have.........I know that years ago when I went to the stereo show that they had dual projectors that they projected 3d stereo slides through, which was fantastic, but I assumed that the 3d projectors that are on the market today would have taken their place and would have been easier and better..........? Any help you can give me ?
You risk damaging the filters by putting them that close to the projector lens. Both the UV and IR energy from the focused light of the projectors will eventually cause the filters to deteriorate and stop them from adaquately rejecting the opposite eye image. You'll loose 3D separation and have to replace the filters much more frequently. If you are not convinced of the intensity of the light output from those projector lenses, just hold your hand in front of one of them for a few minutes. Best thing to do is to keep the filters as far back from the lens as possible while still not allowing any of the image fall past the filter onto the filter frame. This will extend the life of the filters.
Hello Damindu- These projectors are actually 2D DLP. The 3D-VIP solution takes 3D content and offers it as 1080p Full HD 3D. No need to purchase 3D projectors.
@@lioneltechreviews9740 Hey Im actully doing a research about this, for the price of lets say 135 dollars would you say is worthy to buy a dlp active 3d projector(used but in good condition of course)?
No, that thing's like $1000. I'm just using a $50 PC that does the same thing. I have polarizing filters on my 2 projectors but I heard you need a silver coated screen to reflect polarized light. My screen is a Silver Ticket STR-169100.
The 3D-VIP doesn't really have anything to do with it. All it does is split the signal to the 2 projectors. My problem is after that. I have the filters on the projectors and filter glasses but the screen isn't reflecting properly. That's why I was wondering what brand/model screen you have.
Sounds like you'll need a silver screen for your setup. My demo is with Spectra filters- those don't require silver screens...so I just have a reg. screen from Amazon. Hope that helps!

You can project 3d like that, upper and lower image, doesnt it need to be left and right for the 3D effect to work?
It is left and right, just stacked! Adjustments are made on the keystone left & right.
Yes but... Can you help me to project 3d movie?
