I really enjoyed this video, I pretty much have all of the mixwave libraries except this one and manginis.which mixwave library is your favorite? Thanks
@@TredDrums I just went in there to test this, and it turns out the sample has to be loaded in, so I was wrong there. What you could do though, is use two instances of the plugin and unload all samples from the second one except the two different octos and still control it that way. Wanted to make sure I tested it though!
Essentially, the same concept! The difference is, this uses Kontakt. The other difference is, they don't come with grooves, or a browser like EZ drummer. With that said, I find the sounds a lot more mix ready, and the control you have on the mixer is pretty awesome.
@artsal I've got a vid on both, so see what you think! Both are incredible. AA is a lil more tech and death friendly, where I find Wackerman a little more all around.
Yeah i just bought the Jay Weinberg kit. Its ok... Keeps crashing my laptop. Shouldve trusted my gut and stayed away from it. Ill stick to Krimm drums myself.
One thing you may try, if you haven't , is using fixed buffers in your DAW. I noticed that doing that took a huge load off of my CPU, especially with Kontakt stuff. Cheers.
You at least need Kontakt player to run it, which is a free program. But to sequence it, you would need some kind of DAW. It doesn't come with any groves loaded or anything.
ah, another Mixwave kit I need ;D
Great riff man Dimebag would be proud.
Thank you!!
Plz stop making me want to buy more stuff XD
But seriously, another cool video.
Drums are so sick

Thanks for the comment! I would say my favorite is Mangini's for the cymbals and diversity, but this one has also been growing on me.
@@Joshhammond_406 thanks my favorite is got to be mario duplantier . Thank you
Is it possible to play the 4 octobans in an electronic kit? I mean, having 4 pads and play it as it is 4 octobans? Thanks!
Every hit is midi mappable, so I don't see why not! It would be like using 4 keys on a keyboard. Let me know if you try it out!
@@Joshhammond_406 Thanks! I will buy it and will let you know. Great video!

@@Joshhammond_406 thanks Josh! I will load these 2 instances. I will try that tomorrow. Thank you very much for your help with this.
Was this a sponsored video? Did they send you this library for free, or did you purchase it yourself?
This was a self purchase. Nothing sponsored.
Is Mixwave the same as EZDrummer and Superior?

Debating wackerman or Austin archey

How do you use fixed buffers? This exact program keeps crashing my computer as well…
is it possible to use this in EZdrummer?
yes
@@alyctro8158huh? No. It's Kontakt
it doesn't sound special, very few kits, and they still added the wrong midimaps to it.
do you need a DAW to use this?
