Keep up the great content. Well deserved success keeping unnecessary fillers in your vids.

Stephen, you had me sitting on the edge of my seat! Living in the coastal area of NC, we had a fisherman with a hand gaff with the rope around his wrist that was pulling some kind of large fish in and it pulled him overboard and he was never found. That was about ten years ago. Take care of yourself and BE SAFE!

Great video, "as always". Several years ago, I had a lot of redfish fillets and decided to break out my extra large cast iron skillet and do some blackening on them (redfish fillets). I had much more than we could eat, so I called a couple of friends over. They in turn called a couple of friends, who called a couple of friends, and I ended up with about 20 people at my house for blackened redfish. What to do? I also had some shark fillets. I decided to blacken those as well. Long story short... The shark was gone before the redfish.

The video isn't over but that shark reminds me. I was shark fishing south of New Smyrna, Fl when my big rod shook once and bent over. I dove and caught it at the surf and buddy it was on. 45 minutes of what felt like submarine with an occasional shake and vibration in the line. Headed north in the current, I landed it over 400 yards north of my coolers n stuff. My PB black trash bag...

Those blue fish make some of the best smoked fish dip you’ll ever eat. Try going that route with em and see how you like em. I’ll bet you start keeping a lot more of em after you do. We used to go catch our 10 per person per day when that was the limit just for smoked dip. We smoked what we needed to keep dip while we were there but when we got home all the blues, kings and bones from all the fish we caught got smoked and added to the dip. I miss coming down there at least 5 times a year since my accident. I plan on getting back down there maybe for a week this year or maybe even after the start of deer season and fish until 1 then go climb and stand and hunt until dark. That’s what I really loved to do. We used to fish after we got out of the woods and got the deer taken care of. Throw out some lines with an alarm for when we got a fish in case we fell asleep lol.

There is an old expression that perfectly describes fighting a shark on spinning tackle. "Too much sugar for a dime". They are really hard on your reel's gears and tons of rods have given up the ghost messing with them. They would be fun on some of the new reels like the speedmaster. You could put the screws to them.

Every time you threw a Blue Fish or Shad as we call them here in South Africa, I cringed!! They are actually superb eating fish and an even better live bait. One of those as a drift bait using a 8/0 to 10/0 circle hook will get you something large, be it a Zambezi Shark (Bull Shark), Big Couta, GT, Grey Shark/Spinner Shark, Blackfin Shark, Wahoo, maybe even a Dorado or a Tiger Shark, you get the point.

I landed a 14ft hammer head on my king rig on the 4th of July off the end of a pier that thing decided not to go for deeper water, he went for the surf! And he went through where he pleased! By the time I got him landed on the beach every one was pissed at me, no one wanted to get back in the water 😅😅😅 And then I told them abt the tracking app for the great white the cruises NC water and like a pack off fools they decided to try it out just to find out it was with in the 30 mile radius on the app and had been in that radius for 3 days. Not many ppl went out past there knees that day, but we didn't have swimmers in our lines anymore...
