    I know you posted this a while ago, but if you dont mind me asking, what do you use this gun for if you use it, sorry if this question is answered later in the video

    • @ASMRMuzz
      @ASMRMuzz  6 місяців тому +9

      Great question! - I don't hunt with it, as I'd feel awful about killing an animal, but I take it to the range every so often for paper target practice. Shotguns also have a variety of different types of ammo, which all feel different, so there's a variety of different physical experiences to be had. Birdshot, wide spread - low recoil, 00 buckshot, low spread - high recoil (gives your shoulder a real workout) - but I found that living in North America, there's firearms everywhere and I figured that one day, possibly not by choice, I may come across a firearm and I wanted to make sure I was competent to operate it, or at least render it safe. I also find that at the range, for an hour or so, it forces you to focus on ONE THING, almost like a type of noisy meditation (I have a busy mind). You can't play on your phone, talk to people really or get distracted when you've got a thing like this in your hand. Focus and safety is #1. I suppose apart from that, I just find it interesting and fun to blast stuff. It's noisy and goes bang!

    Hey Muzz! I know you don’t do requests, but good god, the word “Troglodyte” is the tingliest word I’ve ever heard in the Scottish accent. I have a friend how I game with who will randomly say “troglodyte” just to flick the t and g together.
    Anyways yes I would love to see more of this fire arm content. Hopefully we can see your Remington in the future!!

    It was certainly fascinating to watch as well as having some great sounds to stimulate my ASMR from the trigger guard and running your fingernails across the shotgun strap for instance.

    really different but very interesting ASMR video Muzz. Not a gun fan myself but I can appreciate someone who understands and teaches safety (not that I know crap about what that is to be clear). But nonetheless, great sounds and interesting exposure to something I don't often get to see up close. Really cool video mate, great clicking sounds and super relaxing which is a bit of a juxtaposition against the item on display. Respectfully handled nonetheless.

    Aaaaahhhh ok so thats your 320 in 12 gauge. Noice shotty👍. I only own a double barrel shotty, made in turkey. It says... imported thru CZ kansas city USA. Made by "HUGLU" rated for 3" 12ga shells. I got some double ought buck for it. Its nice. I wish I could find the newer model 12ga w/ hammers double barrels. Also made in turkey but they fit perfectly to the shoulder and the cocking hammers are such a classic feature! Probably would make for some awesome asmr sounds eh?😄
    And your points were very good. These were all things that I was taught by my father and then again in hunter safety with the instructors. When I intially went out shooting with my friend's we decided upon some rules that we'd all recognize and follow to stay safe and keep aware of our guns whilst changing targets or switching shooters.
    Would really like to see more, hopefully this'll become a series(?). Maybe some asmr on the range? Like a voice over saftey whilst out on the range video? Im brainstorming now 😆. I could go on and on but I'll stop and say Great work Muzz💯

      Thanks Nick! You've got a classic Double Barrel! That's awesome. I don't think I've actually even seen one in real life yet. Yeah I'd like to do more videos like this. I have a left handed Remington 870 as well. Absolutely beautiful firearm so I think I'm at least gonna do one more video with that one.

    Neat video! While I’ll never be a gun owner I’ve always wanted to try shooting one at a gun range. My friend owns guns for hunting and while I nervous for him at first I was quickly impressed with how cognizant he is of safe practices and handling. When guns are handled properly you can really appreciate their engineering and craftsmanship!

      Hey, yeah it's only something I've recently been into. I realised after living here for 8 years that all my neighbours are gun toting rednecks. Nah j/k but you'd never know that gun ownership here is so high, as it's pretty taboo to talk about it or brag about it... Nova Tactical in Dartmouth is the place for you to try it out, it's great!

  • @bannertowman
    @bannertowman 9 місяців тому +1

    I've never seen a pistol grip shotgun before, also how hard is it to obtain a gun in Canada? Are laws for long guns different than handguns? Great vid and thumbnail mate!

    • @ASMRMuzz
      @ASMRMuzz  9 місяців тому +2

      Hey, thanks for your kind words. To get a licence in Canada, you have to apply through the RCMP (Fed Police) take the Firearms Safety Course (one day long. and you obv have to pass)
      Get two references from existing gun licence holders and also declare any mental health issues.
      Then you send it off and within a couple of months you should have ya card.
      Also yeah, long guns are called Non-Restricted and Handguns etc are considered Restricted or even Prohibited now with recent law changes.
      But to buy a gun you just rock on down to Bass Pro Shops or order online.

    • @archaontheeverchosen7980
      @archaontheeverchosen7980 9 місяців тому +1

      I'm guessing but i take it that it's a harder/longer process to get a firearm in Scotland?

    • @ASMRMuzz
      @ASMRMuzz  9 місяців тому +1

      Probably yeah, UK gun laws are much more strict. But it's pretty common for farmers etc to have rifles and shotties, so I don't think it's too hard. But yeah, lots of background checks for sure.

    Interesting. The Canadian safety seems to be all about the firearm. In NZ there are seven basic rules. First three are regarding the firearm but the last four are about the shooter. Had my licence here years ago when I shot clay targets on my high school team.

    • @ASMRMuzz
      @ASMRMuzz  9 місяців тому

      To be honest it's more involved, but this was the bit that thought would be best for video. There's a whole bunch of technical stuff, storage, law, range rules etc. also, hello fellow shooter!

    On your last point in regards to shell capacity limits in USA, (I had to look it up) but it's the same for hunting migratory birds. (Due to a federal law in place since the 1930s) there is a Limit of 3. 2+1 in the chamber.
    However, to your point, it is not uncommon to see "riot shotguns" have the capacity for 10 shells.

    I always thought Canada's gun safety was just putting up signs, telling citizens they can't have any, and letting criminals get away with whatever.
    You might want to keep those guns close for Prime Minister Blackface.

    • @ASMRMuzz
      @ASMRMuzz  9 місяців тому +1

      We don't have signs. Like those gun free zone signs? That's purely an American thing. Pointless.
      Gun control and regulation (which I am in favour of) only works if it's nationally enforced. This state by state, city by city thing the USA has is laughable.
      Trudeau will be gone soon and even if he stays a while, he'd have a big backlash if he tried to remove the millions of guns from Canadians.

    I watch ASMR to relax, not to be reminded of tragedy. In my country, there is a mass shooting nearly every day of the week. While I can appreciate the purpose of teaching gun safety and responsible ownership, I feel compelled to point out that this has nothing to do with the cause of mass shootings and would not reduce mass shootings to any extent. (Although I'm not saying that's the scope of this video, by any means. I'm the one bringing politics into the discussion, after all.)
    Canada has some fairly sensible gun laws, but here in the U.S. there is a pervasive belief that private ownership of firearms in Canada is completely banned. If you bring up the topic of gun control legislation or so called "red flag laws," people act as if that's tantamount to banning the ownership of firearms outright. And there really is no reasoning with this crowd, especially when so many politicians and media pundits take that kind of false equivalence and run it into the ground. Meanwhile, we're all expected to tune out when some lunatic who has no business owning a firearm decides to shoot up an elementary school.
    I'm sorry, but this is too much for me. There is no middle line when it comes to firearms. Even though you live in a country where the topic probably isn't as heavily politicized, remember these firearms are being manufactured by someone. And that someone puts a lot of financial clout behind politicians who are bending over backward to dismantle any and all gun control legislation in a country that is rife with gun violence.

      Please just drop it. I live in the US. Your lack of understanding when it comes to the complexity of fire arms in America is ASTOUNDING. Go look up the Black Panther Party. Look at how they used firearms, look at how they used firearms to liberate black communities. To act like the morality of owning firearms is determined off of piss poor gun laws that have only started having ramifications over the last 20 years is OUTRAGEOUS. Muzz doesn’t live in the US. He isn’t advocating for our systems of regulation. In fact, I feel like I’ve heard him talk about how poor our gun laws are some years back in a live stream. It’s quite literally a gun safety video. How many mass shootings are committed with a shotgun? Since you wanna complain that this is scarring you because it’s a firearm, tell me how many times a shotgun has been used to mass unalive people. He didn’t pull out an AR15, it’s a SHOTGUN. He didn’t talk about gun laws, it’s a GUN SAFETY VIDEO. If you don’t find it relaxing, LEAVE. If you don’t like the content, LEAVE. But coming in here and dropping THREE WHOLE PARAGRAPHS to address your disapproval of something this man ISNT EVEN TALKING ABOUT is DELUSIONAL.
