Republicans Introduce New Pro-Life Bill, the Mom's Act, Ahead of Mother's Day | EWTN News Nightly

This coming weekend we celebrate moms across the country with Mother's Day. On Capitol Hill, 2 different messages are being delivered between Republicans and Democrats. With the 2024 election just months away, the Mother's Day messages stand in sharp contrast to each other. Democrats held a press conference stressing pro-abortion rights, saying every woman should have the right to choose. While, Republicans stood behind the introduction of a new bill titled the Mom's Act, meant to expand the pro-life safety net and empower mothers with new programs and resources. Lawmakers say it will help combat declining birth rates, as statistics show only 3.6 million babies were born in 2023, the lowest number since 1979. Capitol Hill Correspondent, Erik Rosales reports.
