Never got an original and really like the recent KO I picked up so much I want to get another. Maybe instead of stickers I'll try to add these changes with paint.
Funny how the KO is better than Original… You can try the paint… but I think it would be harder… have to protect the yellow from getting paint on it… But you have patience, I’m sure you can do it…
Am not gonna lie! I remembered paying like $130 for this guy and afterwards saying! Gosh! The quality of materials is crazy!! For that price. I mean, he felt so cheap and flimsy. But now I seem to be okay by that! Sometimes I even come to expect it from Takara. That's why I don't really mind buying the KO. Especially when the KO is 1/2 the price at times. I remembered talking to people back when MP-44 had just came out and people saying they don't want to try to transform him because of potentially breaking him! And they didn't want to Risk it with a $500 figure! I remembered breaking my $160 MP-47 Hound, that little tiny door. So now! Am so careful with everything! Is not even funny.
I hear you… and feel the same… When I got the KO Optimus, I was impressed and felt awkward about the price I paid for the original… When I got the KO hound, I couldn’t understand why the official wasn’t as good… Then when I got the KO Bumblebee… like you, I was not happy that I paid more for a floppy figure… So now, I make sure to pay attention to the KO 4th party… But I have to say that they are not always great… For example, The KO Skyfire has QC with tolerance… from too much paint… But in general, I think the KO might be better… especially for a lower price…
@@streakshooter918 yes! Don't get me wrong I buy the Original. But sometimes I will buy a KO. I felt $450 eventhough I could afford it..just wasn't worth it. If it would of been maybe $240 I would of bought MP-44. But to be honest just like you said I was very happy with the KO and to honest I already had the Magic Square light of freedom. Personally, I don't mind paying if it's Quality. But when you pay $130 and the KO is $40 bucks for the Bumblebee. Than you see a review and you can barely tell the difference?..or when you see that the KO improved on the original and is 1/3 the price..You're like Dang! I don't collect as an investment, so Personally I don't really care if a figure goes up or down in value. Is nice that they do! But It's not why I bought it! Are you on IG?
I hear you on everything… and I feel the same… Quality is what I’m going for… and the cost becomes a frustrating issue when something better for less comes out… but I work around it… I have an account on IG dedicated to Transformers… (Streakshooters_tf_collection)… but I don’t go on there very often anymore… … … Are you on IG ?
@@streakshooter918 yes, therealsuprasport, I just started following you. To be honest I feel like the community is much more stronger on IG. I find it much more engaging, and almost all the youtubers that are reviewers are on there. Also, I feel like you can keep up with the current trends and releases and what people are saying. Plus you get to see so much of other people's collections and recent purchases. The reason I asked is because I always seem to agree with you on stuff that you say. All the Xtransbots comments, and am not gonna lie am a Big Fanboy of both Xtb and Fanstoys. ✊️😺
