My younger sibling had come out to me as nonbinary a while ago. It was strange at first, them having been my little sister for nearly 17 years. (We're 18 and 19 now) I quickly realized supporting them quietly behind closed doors was not enough. Our parents are all sorts of phobic, and I knew I had to stand besides them no matter what. The pride I felt when I first used they/them in front of them and our parents. Our parents still aren't supportive but I think it finally clicked that this is something that's going to stay. Kay, my sibling, finally had the confidence to hang their NB flag above their bed. I couldn't be happier. WHAT MAKES THIS ALL THE BETTER!!! OUR NINE, YES NINE YEAR OLD, LITTLE BROTHER UNDERSTANDS AND RESPECTS HIS OLDER SIBLING'S PRONOUNS!! So now every time our brother calls Kay they/them, our parents cant argue with him cause they'd have to argue with a nine year old. I love every second of it and I cant wait for what comes in the future.

A kid in my class tried to look smart by saying, “transgender people use the word trans, which if factually incorrect since trans is just a root word!” And then my rude, 68 year old English teacher who yelled at kids for the smallest things turned around and started yelling at him because I, a genderfluid person, and my friend Zane who was trans was in the room, and when he argued back she sent him to the principal. She apologized to us too many times to count
Pfff, it's kind of funny, not for the way he acted, but because he's like, he's wrong? The root word is gender, trans is the prefix, when used in terms of people, it refers to transgender. If it's unclear, it's specified, because, like, human speech, but more importantly, it's not the root word, because what the eff would that make gender??? Gender is a noun, and cisgender is the opposite of transgender, they are related but opposites, therefore the common portion between them that references gender itself is, gasp, the word gender.

Additionally, transgender and cisgender are linguistically correct.
Trans: to move across (root word).
Cis: Same side as (root word).
Gender: the behavioral, cultural, or psychological traits socially understood as being on a spectrum of masculine and feminine.
Transgender: to move across the gender spectrum.
Cisgender: to stay on the same side of the gender spectrum.
Trans and Cis are opposite prefixes (similar to pre/post) and when you go into biology classes you'll see those prefixes a lot more in relation to DNA and cell replication.

- Yes, there is an iCarly reboot, it was announced December 9th and right now no release date was announced except "early 2021";
- Miranda Cosgrove, Nathan Kress and Jerry Trainor are coming back, Jenette McCurdy and Noah Munck are not confirmed but if they don't come back it's their choice, not ours;
- It's going to be more adult, which means old fans will still enjoy it.
3 years on edit:
- There have been 3 seasons and it's now been cancelled on a big cliffhanger, which isn't ideal but still cool
- It's not a great show but it's amazing for nostalgia if you like the old show

About Elliott Page, I was rewatching the Umbrella Academy to catch up before the new season, and when the credits rolled through, they changed Elliott's name in the credits! Netflix went back and fixed all the credit cards starting from the first season! I immediately ran and told all my friends!!

Damn, that "euphoria is more important than dysphoria" one really hits home for me. I've been in a gender limbo for the past few days and much of it is wondering if I'm really trans since I don't feel super dysphoric, but hearing this really helps. Reminds me of one time I went to the store with my Nanna and one of my cousins, an employee needed to go in between me and my cousin and they (idk this person’s pronouns) said “excuse me gentlemen”- the 𝟭𝟬 𝗴𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼𝗻 𝙗𝙪𝙘𝙠𝙚𝙩 𝗼𝗳 ✨𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙤𝙩𝙤𝙣𝙞𝙣✨ 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗴𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗺𝗲- this was a complete stranger and the only thing that this person registered about me (they had something they needed to get done and were probably only focusing on that one thing)was that I looked like a guy- (something I’d been trying very hard to accomplish for a long time, still not done but getting closer). I’ve been on the fence about transitioning for a while, but never wanted to commit to it out of feeling like I wasn’t really trans because I never really felt any dysphoria. Before Elliot came out, the best Transmasc representation I personally had was Cremisius Aclassi(AKA, Krem) from Dragonage Inquisition - A transman who joined his country's army in secret only to have to run when they found out, and ended up joining a Merc Crew known as the Bull's Chargers after their leader lost an eye saving his life(Iron Bull, the leader in question being one of your Inner Circle Members/Squadmates).
Not only did he endear me to Bull in 20 seconds flat, he really made me feel... seen.
I remember I'd come out about... 2 years before the game did, and my family was still kind of in that 'It may just be a Phase, but don't be a dick' stage of acceptance, and it felt really good to have my mother sitting next to me while I talked to Krem, and listened to his story. It felt good to have her look at me and say, "Hey, look at that, you're not such an oddball afterall."
I loved Krem so much, I literally named my cat after him - meaning both my male cats are named after BioWare characters.
Have I blessed them, or cursed them?
We may never know.
Anyway, TL;DR: Elliot made me happy because I love seeing me some Transmasc Representation, and it's imporatant for us Kings to be seen.

I'm both-handed, which means you're dominant on your left in certain tasks and your right on others. Sometimes both. The coaches in PE would always get annoyed with me whenever it was my turn to try a new sport, because I didn't automatically know which hand/arm/foot to use.

I recently realized that I was trans (MtF), and the post about not feeling dysphoria describes my experience perfectly. I never even considered the idea that I may be trans because I didn't actively hate my body and occasionally felt like I even looked reasonably good, but I had always been at least somewhat drawn to "girly" things. I remember as far back as when I was 4 or 5 I was playing at a neighbors house with their daughter and I seen a dress in her closet (it was a snow white costume) that I wanted to wear. My mom came in and seen me wearing it and scolded me, saying boys didn't wear dresses, which made me very upset at the time but I didn't question it. I have always found women's clothes to be far more appealing than men's clothes and wished I could wear them instead, but social stigmas aside I didn't think they would look good on me regardless due to my body shape (barrel chested, tree trunk legs, dense dark body hair, and beard), yet in spite of all of this it took me till 29, almost 30, to realize that I might actually be trans. My wife, who is an insanely supportive and incredible woman decided to order me a skirt and some thigh highs that would fit my bulky legs so I could see how it looks and get used to wearing that kind of thing at least around the house if I were so inclined. She wanted to see how it looked and fit when it came in and had me try them on and look in the mirror, and when I put them on and just focused on looking at my lower half, I couldn't stop smiling. I've been looking through lots of MtF transition timeline photos mainly to try to reassure myself that the feminine look that I want is actually attainable, and any time I see a fully transitioned person I find myself grinning ear to ear and think, that could be me. That was how I knew for sure. Dysphoria didn't eat at me till I hated the skin I was in, I simply realized that I could be so much happier in a girl's body.

The post about euphoria being more powerful than dysphoria absolutely helped me. I've never really felt gender dysphoria, at least to the extent that other trans people do, but the indescribable joy I feel when I wear a skirt or when someone uses the right name and pronouns is undeniable. It makes me feel so much better about calling myself trans with the knowledge that you don't have to feel dysphoria to be trans at all.

That post about how the trans experience is about euphoria not dysphoria made legit tear up. As someone who is coming to terms with the fact that I am probably trans that just validated so many of my feelings I’m sobbing right now.
EDIT - I came out as trans a few months after posting this and at this point have been out for maybe 9-10 months and I feel so much happier :)
I got my first binder while I was questioning, to see how it felt to wear it. The pure euphoria of seeing my chest for the first time and how NORMAL it looked to me was something I'll remember forever. I'd been unconsciously binding for years using an old, too small sports bra before i ever questioned. I felt more comfortable and confident in that bra, even though it wasn't "flattering" to a "female" figure. I'd also been wearing clothes that minimized or hid my chest long before i realized why. Being able to dress in whatever clothing, use whatever perfume, get any haircut, was so liberating! I love feeling like the body in the mirror actual belongs to me!
I hope you've got things figured out (no pressure if you haven't, it's a process) and that things are better for you now, and that you're living your best life!!!!
That post about dysphoria vs euphoria when trying to figure out how you identify really hit me hard. I wasn't even questioning anything about my gender identity until one of my online friends referred to me by they/them pronouns on his stream and I got so happy, like, giddy, 'need to sit down and giggle in a corner' happy. And only then did I start to ask myself how I identify. Connected a ton of dots littered throughout my childhood and teen years and now I'm here, out as a fem presenting non-binary person and OT's videos just make me feel so comforted even when I sometimes still doubt myself

I never realized how accurate the euphoria thing is, because I never really questioned my gender identity until I put on a short wig that I got and suddenly experienced gender euphoria. And recently, when I was hanging out with a friend at a con, I heard him using my proper pronouns when talking to other people and it made me so warm and fuzzy inside 🥰

Not all transgender or gender diverse people experience dysphoria.
it basically makes me feel a lot of pain or like makes me feel upset when i look down and see my tits or like my voice. its like little voices in my head telling me ‘you’re a girl, you will always be a girl, you dont look masculine enough, your voice is too high, your shoulders are too narrow, youre not a guy’ stuff like that it really sucks. gender dysphoria is different for every individual but that is just my personal experience with it
