Alpinestars debuts the S-M5, a lightweight dirt helmet with an advanced thermoplastic shell, multiple-density liner, and aggressive styling. Features include 3D contoured foam, hydration tube channels, anti-microbial interior panels, and an emergency release system.
Nice looking but if you're a Large (which I suspect a lot of dirt riders are), you're a bobblehead sharing a shell with 2XL's. Good-looking helmet though!
The fact the helmet has no channels inside is because of the system they use instead of mips where the liner has give in it and moves inside the helmet when you crash .

Was really hoping to possible see how to remove the front “mouth” filter. Not sure what it’s really called
This model have space to put earphone of intercomunicators like the sm8 or sm10?

Is this more of an orange colour on the outside as the online places say red? But looks very orange to me
For the price this is a spot on lid ! Hope they bring a teal colour out to match my a stars kit .

Would you recommend to wear this helmet on road, even highway? im more concerned about the safety of the helmet regardless of comfortability. Besides, does it have spaces to install bluetooth speakers? Thanks
Hi mate sorry for the reply a year later but I’d just like to let you know I got into a head on collision with a van while riding my motorcycle and it was the sm5 that saved my life! I’ve suffered multiple bleeds on the brain but the doctor said my helmet saved my life anyways hope this convinces you too get one !

Hello @RevZilla.. Can you tell me if in this helmet I can install any intercom system as Cardo ones for example?.. I don't see like internal holes to install the sames. Regards
You can, but you are going to want to use the slimmest speakers you can find as it will push into the sides of your head when you wear the helmet. It's possible, but not as comfortable as most helmets with the speaker pockets.
I clean my helmet …. Two times a year 😂
