With obs it could be a lot of things. Trying playing the mkv file in vlc media player (its a free open source program). If that has no sound then the problem is you don't have audio recording on OBS, which is a whole other animal to figure out how to do. If there is sound on your mkv file then try exporting it again as an mp3 file and splice the two together in a video editor.
Thank you so much because I was starting to get pissed off but is there any way I can make this permanent so I don’t have to convert it to an MP4 every single time?
Thanks, using an Xbox Series X to M1 MacBook Air with the Apple USB dock & Elgato HD60 S+ capture card with OBS This method works on OS Monterey Version 12.4
For some reason when its mp4 file, the video is laggy as hell. Is there a fix for this?? I can use QuickTime which does not show it laggy but QuickTime records in 30 fps and shows in 30 fps or something, so my gameplay looks laggy.
I noticed its not only mp4. The video turns out really choppy, and I don't know why. I have 32 gigs of ram in my computer which is a lot. I use QuickTime for now but it does not show it as smooth as how it was when recording. One thing I think is because is because the computer is using so much cpu while recording and gaming, QuickTime just reduces the quality even though its smooth while recording. I know this probably happens with Quicktime. And the only reason why I want to record with OBS is because I can record with 60 fps. Though I don't know if its QuickTime fps cap or if its just the cpu. If it is cpu or computer stuff, than I would find a solution and use QuickTime. Since its not laggy while recording as much as OBS.
@@dreamvr722 Oh btw I just noticed why QuickTime videos were so choppy. It was only because I was editing in low fps. sorry for the trouble. I am not gonna use OBS anymore tho since I found what's causing my problem.
Thank you so much man. I have browsed a lot of videos for this, and I haven't expected the Solution from a relatively smaller channel. Subscribed.
Thanks for this, got a new computer and installed OBS, wouldn’t work and now it does. You’re the best.

And if I am lazy and don't want to edit anything, I can simply upload the MP4 format straight to YT?

I already have the files in a folder im just trying to convert those into MP4 or anything other than this

I will need to experiment with OBS to see if I can replicate the problem. I haven't had it myself.
