I'm 48, bro. Boys need their toys, regardless of age. I have a 600hp Z06 in my garage and a 450 HP F150 in my driveway, but I still love RC cars and models.

Ditch the trans cam, and go back to head cam. Trans cam is only good if its pointed twards the truck.

How is your SLT3 radio? Any range or lag issues? Yeah, i am in the wrong state for rc. We have no sweet bashing compounds (lol) like a few of you rc UA-cam guys have bashed at
The radio works great so far! I'm making a top speed video and new speedometer video, I'll address the range of the radio on that video, and see how well it works, on camera, from as far away as I can. Thanks for watching and stay tuned for a new video every day!

Got mine a couple weeks back, 3/4 of a battery pack into it, it stopped working. Co.e to find out the new upgraded metal geared servo went out and was shorting out receiver voltage. Took a while to figure it out... but after buying a new DX5C transmitter, and a trip to the hobby shop, it was the servo. Wait on servo to arrive on the 5th. Can't wait to get it running again.

One thing that most people make the mistake of is hitting throttle when tires aren’t on the ground great way to break drive shaft
You are absolutely correct. Throttle control is a major, major part of not breaking RCs.
That looks like a really good location to bash in I’m thinking about getting this kit, so from what I understand you need to stack two 3s batteries or can you run one 6s ? I’ve seen there’s only one battery tray so just wondering how that works?
You are exactly correct about the batteries...you can run one 6s or two 3s in series. You simply stack the two 3s batteries on top of each other. There is a jumper cable that comes with the truck when using only one battery (6s).

Have you had any issues with the stock transmitter, particularly with range? Starting to hear about some issues with that...sounds like it comes with a pretty cheap transmitter.
No issues with mine so far. I did a range test a few videos back...it wasn't very good, as you can't see the Kraton that far away, but it does well for an RTR transmitter.
0:55 than gopro mount is a great protection for your body!
I have the same in my mt4-g3 and it protects the top of the shell perferct.
Also, you could put protective clear sticker on the shell.

Was your servo humming? I just got my V5 and servo seems to have hard time going back to center or turning and causes that hum.
Hey Greg, no humming from my servo...I have had that before when a small twig gets stuck in the steering linkage, preventing the full movement.
Thanks for videos about new Kraton V5 and differents protections see in videos part 1 and 2. Really great 👍. But at the beginning of this video you're talking about the protection plate on "the roof". What is this piece? Do you have any reference for it like front bumper, wheelie and rear squid plate in your 2 first videos? Thanks from Le Mans in France 😉
You are very welcome! It is simply a GoPro camera mount. I used it for a video and decided to keep it on afterwards, for extra protection of the body.

Welcome! No, it should automatically bind, but check the throttle and steering trims before going full speed!

My first 6 s piece ever was a M2C Outcast chassis’s and from there 1 solid year passed until I had enough parts from Jenny’s purchased to get rolling with my own personal build.
What I built was and still is a epic beast to this day.
Look I to Ronald Fisher Basher bodies or Can from TMT bodies. Look them up on Facebook they have epic indestructible bodies black and white in colour.
I have now bought both and I am super happy with the durability.

Doesn’t look very quick. What can you upgrade to make it faster?
It will go 52 miles per hour, this was just my first time out with the truck, so I was taking my time and getting a feel for it on the jumps. I plan to make a new video there with the Kraton 6S and launching it. I also have a metal ramp that I am planning to set up and see how much speed and air I can get together, full send!
But to answer your question, you could change the pinion and get it up to 60,mph or above, but you may start to get heat and differential issues. I just need to squeeze that trigger harder next time, haha.
@@rcleesd I just bout the same rc. Didn’t realize I need to buy a battery, so I’m waiting on that now. I got the p30 charger is 6500 lipo batteries. Looking to do some upgrades, just not sure what.

If it has been upgraded already, it should be fairly bulletproof.

@@rcleesd upgraded radio, max 6 esc, 1650kv motor. All aluminum parts, 3 thunderous fans for esc and motor. Not worth more than ? It's practically new, even the aluminum chassis was replaced and never run yet. Just trying to gauge the value before throwing 10 100s at him
Yeah, that's a tough one. I bash mine fairly hard, but haven't spent more than $75 ok replacement parts. I'm also not a big upgrade and metal parts guy, but that's just me. I'd buy a new one and keep $400 on hand for parts....you'll probably be better off, but that's just my opinion.

There isn't any address, it's just a vacant dirt lot, across the train tracks from Buccaneer Beach in Oceanside. From Coast Highway you turn West on Morse Street.
