I have another question after watching this video: How many shares should we give to investors in exchange for $4-5 million in seed round - hardware? We are looking for a win-win situation - with the future of the company and capital for the next rounds of financing in mind. Our competition raised $6 million in the seed round (we don't know the percentage), and in round A they raised $50 million in exchange for 10%.
I assume that a big part of the “selling” part raising is demonstrating to investors that you’ll be able to sell successfully to other investors for later rounds. Is that right?
