Last year we had the bread bowl because I didn't think it could get screwed up and it'd be filling. Luckily my kids are into role-playing and I told them that the bread tasted awful like this back then
I had to laugh because as you were talking about turkey legs, The Dregs were singing “Sharknado” behind you in Mac’s Pub.! Love this video! And now I need to try putting my hot honey on vanilla ice cream. Sounds yummy! Next time, you need to do the Feast of Fantasy. We’ll be there for that on the 21st.
@@davkaufmaneatstheworld, our family always does the third Saturday in September, 11AM feast. Highly recommend. The Feast Master is a friend of ours as are several of the acts. I worked out there for artist friends for 7 years in the mid-80s to early 90s. I stopped when our daughter was born. But we’ve gone every year since and started feasting in 2000.
We were up there that weekend, too. Always love Highland games weekend. It was such a nice change to be at Fest and not be on the verge of heat stroke by the end of the day.
I shouldn’t be shocked that you are in MN but my ears were pleasantly surprised when you announced it. 🤷♀️ Thanks algorithm! More MN and more Ren fests please! 🙏
I work out at the MN RenFest on cast, and still have yet to try all the food. No only was this extremely educational, but it’s also helped me decide which foods I can skip out on, and which foods I still need to try before the end of the season.
Awesome video!! I would love to see another reviewing independently owned food booths vs festival owned food booths. I think you might be pleasantly surprised by the difference in quality.
Heck ya. Can't wait to see you try food at the R fair. What with your sense of humor, it's going to be interesting. I've eaten the food there years ago.
WOw, just not hitting the spot huh? Judging by the looks of the wild rice soup pizza the dough looked a bit under done.its hard to mess up an ice cream sundea lol.I am happy you did get an enjoyable turkey leg.
Been To A Renaissance Festival But Didn't Get A Chance To Try Or Enjoy The Food, Hopefully Will Be Able To Next Time Around, Oh I Can't Think Of A Better Way To Spend My Sunday Afternoon That To Binge Watch My New Favorite UA-cam Channel Dav Kaufman Eats The World, Thanks For Making My Day Smile Dav! 😊😊
I've been to the Ren Fest. in Shakopee many times over the years and Love it! My most favorite and proud moment is when I went looking for [at that time] my 13 year old son and found him front and center watching some belly dancers! 🤣 We also loved the food! Some you didn't mention which are amongst our favorites are Scotch Eggs, Beef Jerky and Pickles.😄 BTW...Subscribed 😀
Maybe a good future video would be the Food truck festival in Virginia, MN on Sept 21 from 12-6. We are up to 32 vendors, beer, and… a bouncy house! Bouncy house = clicks.
I too have a BA in History! I was lucky, one of my professors was the worlds leading expert on the history of the hotdog. He also did a class on clay pot cooking, which was fascinating as it really was the history of the lower class/working people, putting their clay pots in the banked fire in the morning and going to work all day, to come home to a warm meal. I am stiil fas inated by this type of history!
I've not been to the Renn Faire in many years though I live only half hour drive from it! Anyhow, the turkey leg was one thing I ran for and also the huge salted nut rolls! You didn't show those! Are they not at the Renn Faire anymore? They were to die for!
Amazing pretzel! That Bread Bowl looks insane!!! You got hosed Dav! Tacos? Sus Chicken Wild Rice Pizza? Nah brah... Really? Oh man, salty, ewwwww Burnt Potato Skins? Man that's rough! - Get eating peasant! ;) (ROFL) I can't believe you even tried to ate those, eewwwwww Ice Cream, wow, I'd never have guessed! My wife would LOVE that honey topping TURKEY LEG!!!! Second favorite from a fair. Second to the Onion Bloom #RattleOn #EatthePlanet
I thought of that with the pizza. Keith Floyd, British chef, did a travel show for years. He visited an old classic bakery. He was showing owner about pizza, using her dough, and she figured out it was the trenchers she made and sold.
6:36 aren’t some of the stew components New World vegetables like potatoes? I’m not sure those are historically accurate. Also the beer cheese soup is the best in the bread bowl.
Who?! Ha, ha. Ours is in town next week. Back in the 1990's when friends of mine (one a history teacher) were part of organizing, if you wanted to wear a costume it had to be of the period. Now, it's just dress up day. Didn't know potatoes were a special thing back then. Looks like yours was deep fried a bit too long. Think with the potato and turkey leg, not really known. Most people would not have known about them. Were they in Europe - yes. Hi from almost sunny Oregon.
@@davkaufmaneatstheworld I think a video on small businesses that have a specific product that they are known for would be a great video. You know that people drive miles for…
Sprayed coffee on my phone screen with "Food so bad the Garbage can spits it back"🤣🤣🤣🤣 Fun and I learned too! Thanks for taking us along!

Thanks :)

Yeah it was pretty underdone
I heard 'The Dregs' in the background playing Sharknado. Plenty of great entertainment at the festival also.

Another great video, pity about those potato skins they couldve been great. 😁
Thank you! Yeah it was pretty disappointed with those
Did you purposely not eat the skin on the turkey leg?! That's the best part.
It was served that way
Fun fact, those are emu legs, not turkey. Only the extra royal got to have those 😂
Lol! They seem like it don't they?
☝️This! My brother used to sell Turkey legs years back and told me they are not actually Turkey but Emu. Still tastes good though.

Possible I’m biased , however does the amount of hot chicks come into play or do I have to keep this a level playing field ?

AI generated images are disturbing, but funny
Did you use AI art?
What's with all the terrible AI art throughout the video? Dave couldn't get pictures of actual paintings?
