Installing LED Lights on John Deere X500 Snowblower

- Опубліковано 30 чер 2024
- The John Deere X500 tractor paired with the 44" snowblower excels at handling substantial snow loads. However, one notable drawback is the tractor's built-in headlights, which prove insufficient for effective illumination. These headlights become obstructed by the snowblower and are poorly positioned for optimal visibility during low-light snow clearing sessions. To enhance your snowblowing experience in dim conditions, consider outfitting your equipment with these magnetic, high-intensity LED lights. With these additions, you'll enjoy ample, well-directed illumination, ensuring a clear path while operating your snowblower.

I just want to tell you that I have watched a lot of you tubers and you are the best. Are you a teacher? If not you should be. I purchased a John Derre x590 and have a soft cab on it. I have been all over the internet try to find something and found you. I will be doing the front and back ones because the back ones just came up. I need a strobe for the top. Any ideas? That will a little tricky. Shot me a comment if you have anything. Keep up the good work.
Thank you very much! I'm glad you found the video helpful. I did not do the soft cab on my x500, but last year I upgraded my x500 for a 1025r with the Mauser cab and absolutely love it.
For the x500, I did put some flashing LED lights on the back to add visibility when I was dealing with snow at the end of my driveway. I don't have a UA-cam video on it, but I do have a blog post about how I installed those. The link to that post is here: aspireinhope.com/diy/adding-led-flashing-warning-lights-to-john-deere-x500-tractor/
great vid and setup thanks! Not sure I would trust those stick-on cable stays with our tractor parked outside in Minnesota year round but def thinking of doing something similar.
Thank you! I kept my tractor in a garage, but I was amazed at how well those 3M cable stays worked. I never had one come off, even after multiple uses and them being covered in snow. Good luck with your project!
Very informative, thank you! Thinking of doing this to my cub cadet this year
You're welcome! Good luck with your project!
Thanks for the detailed post.
You're welcome!
Nice thanks. Btw, there’s a bad link on the heat shrink tubing.
You are welcome, and thank you for catching the bad link...it has been updated.
Thanks great video. On another subject. Do you use the deck height adjuster. To adjust the snowblower height from ground
You are very welcome. I installed the hydraulic power lift (LP33711) on my X500 to adjust the height up and down of the snowblower.
