Cruising Overland - Episode 12 - Carnarvon Gorge - Queensland

We completed a challenging, all day hike through Carnarvon gorge in Queensland. A massive 30 kilometres worth of hiking of relatively flat terrain in Queensland's Capricorn Region. We free camped and discovered towering sandstone cliffs, vibrantly coloured side gorges, diverse flora and fauna and Aboriginal rock art. Carnarvon Gorge is located about 720km by road north-west of Brisbane and has a few camping options close by. It's not too far, slightly south, from last episode's location of the Blackdown Tablelands.
