Cruising Overland - Episode 13 - Fraser Island - K'gari 'Great Sandy Island' -
It is one big sandy island! This is a long one, but there was a lot to see and do here. We are on the QLD coast on Australia's largest sand island, K'gari or Fraser Island. Highly recommend travelling on the barge and camping on Fraser - K'gari. We also highly recommend you have a reliable 4WD! We camped on the beach and in the forest all on this one island. We caught some fish and fingers...ouch! Got to witness some amazing wildlife and bath in the gorgeous sun, and sit through a storm!

We completed a challenging, all day hike through Carnarvon gorge in Queensland. A massive 30 kilometres worth of hiking of relatively flat terrain in Queensland's Capricorn Region. We headed north of Rockhampton to the Byfield National Park and Byfield State Forest. We camped by the Stoney Creek, got caught in a down poor and then eaten alive by mozzies! A quick decision to take a trip out to Limmen National Park and then onto Manangoora Station. We put a few kms on the Troopy, but all very well worth it. Travelling with mates to Arnhem Land was a highlight of the trip. We camped at Daliwuy Bay by the boat ramp and fished everyday!
