How much room for flexibility with motors do I have with the stock Hobby Wing 9005 ESC say? One of the motors died on my off the shelf board and I'm looking to get some more durable motors. I am not quite ready to go with a VESC just yet.
what do you recommend for a razor pocketmod build , thinking 75100 controller and looking for one motor capable of pulling 150lbs & using a 52v 30ah battery
If you’re over 150lbs, go with 63 series motors. 50 series might last a year, two at best, but you’ll have slow acceleration and they’ll burn up eventually.

Form the bottom of my heart,the best bdlc power and torque award must go to... Flipsky80100 130 Kv’s!!! By far best motors I’ve ever rolled!!! With tip you F@$&(n head off power n torque!! Given a minimum 12s power plant...
I like Flipsky, DIYElectronics.com, and eBay. I just buy super cheap pullies on ebay but you have to know the right size, the shaft diameter(8 or 10mm) plus pulley tooth specs. Also use 15mm belts for most power if needed.

Anyone have problems with the dual belt trucks axle's wearing down where the inside bearings sit?

scooters usually use one single hub motor, so one large hub motor would work.

No you totally can on any belt driven setup.
Where did you buy that motor and trucks kit from?
