Love watching these types of videos. Especially being someone who is new at map making, always wonder how the best map makers create these amazing maps. Love your content as always. Keep up the amazing work.
Thanks. I figure there are little tricks to pick up on that I probably don't even realize I do. I was thinking of doing a few more vids of the HH2 map 2 build for just that reason. I hope that it helps get the creativity going and make things a little more efficient when building.
I will do a few more with the new Highway Haulin 2 map build for sure. Not too sure why I got away from it but I will definitely get back to doing some more behind the scenes vids. Thanks for the good word!
I respect your patience doing these maps and making these videos! They helped me get started so i could start messing around to see what you can do. I am still learning the basics, but a bit disappointed trees and other environment objects are painted on. Perhaps there is a way to place single trees and slant them certain ways so they are leaning over a road or trail, and I just haven't discovered it yet?
Single trees are in the right click menu under plants. If you select a model and hit ctrl D it will copy the model. This can be done with as many models as you want. It just takes more time. Generally I paint the first areas and add single trees where you want a more precise placement around building and so on
So cool getting to see the amount of work you put in to every little detail of your maps! I would love to get into developing maps what kind of software do I need?
It comes with the game so nothing for maps. Notepad++ for .xml file editing. Mostly just time and patience are required. Shoot me any questions if you get going on it. Always here to help
I kinda wish it was similar to Farming Sim’s Landscape mode, I haven’t made maps but ive made some pretty cool farms and houses from what I can with Crossplay Mods.
@@remoh667mapping yeah FS22 can consume you like a drug for a solid 3 weeks straight but then gets repetitive and then ill take a break, I myself haven’t been on for a couple months
They have chunks of there maps as references that you can adjust. The in game maps no. You need the actual source files and they don't send them with the game unfortunately

This is awesome to watch. Thanks for showing us, now I understand how much goes into one map, let alone one house/building. Keep doing your thang. 👍🤙🔥
I was pretty surprised when I finished up the video and saw it was 45mins. 😂 its definitely a labour of love when it comes to modding
Been waiting for another behind the scenes video of your maps. Thanks for this!

That is definitely fun to play with for sure. I was hooked on fs22 for about a month when the platinum dlc dropped. Haven't played for a bit though.

Couldn't have said it better myself.
