- I just completed New Snowrunner Season 11 DLC Lights & Camera. In this video I tried to breakdown all things that this DLC did right and wrong in my opinion as well as mentioned some bugs.

As a Scandinavian myself, I find the lack of, well, Scandinavia to be a big disappointment. It actually took me quite a while to realize this was supposed to be Scandinavia, as there's nothing Scandinavian to be seen anywhere. The town name is American, the signs are in English, the vehicles are Russian, the terrain does not look anything like Scandinavia, and neither does the props like houses, boats etc. It might be fun to play, but I had frankly hoped for a little more effort on the research side for this DLC
Yeah it just looks wrong, only correct thing are roadsigns which aren't placed right.
Some houses and most road signs are Scandinavian and yeah. Thats it😂
just imagine all the work. with that amount of work it would not be a free dlc.....OH!?!
this is update content and even for an update its lacking several bug fixing things.
In Soviet Russia, Scandinavia is you.
I'm not Scandinavian but I can tell it's a pretty poor representation. Lazy from the developers. Why are there no Volvo or Scania trucks?? Or other European trucks like MAN or Mercedes or Iveco etc? In reality if it was Scandinavia there wouldn't be many Russian or American trucks. To role play the region all you should really use are the Tatra trucks.
Something I have come to realize is that I most enjoy the moderate terrain maps. I also love the fact that the highway trucks now have a useful purpose in this season without having to babysit them with a F750 on standby to pull them out of trouble.
I feel like they could have put just a little more effort and spend a little more time on just designing this dlc map and made it look just more presentable and realistic

yeah.... that was strange choice of trucks.... even in last season which had like 20 watchtowers they give us 2 trucks....I think one scout one truck would've been better choice
i love using scouts. theyre my main trucks, and i only use larger vehicles for special trailers/ generator trailers
Since the maps are starting to feel old i pray that the big dlc is Iceland. Particularly the more volcanic regions. Imagine in one of the maps driving along an active volcano trying to see through the ash while hearing littke chunks of rock hit on the roof of the truck. THAT would never get old for me
Do anybody felt a little disappointed after finishing movie studio contracts (others are fine)? I expected something more than same scheme everytime - haul special trailer to one place, deliver cargo and repeat it 3 more times. Congrats, you did it!
I wanted for example some "stunts" to do like traverse one road (via checkpoints) with truck from one category (like scouts, heavy, etc.), use specific type of addon when doing that, park truck in specific place (like a cliff), roll over with cargo or load it on a ramp (via super heavy crane from season 10), smash some barrels or do even more similar things. That would add bigger mission variety and make it more interesting and real. Devs should also make a photo mode really usable with giving some instructions how pictures are needed for movie studio

The maps now feel like ONLY you survived a a Neutron bomb, but for some reason still drive around delivering stuff to dead people.

I can't figure out why anyone would build a trailer park or factory in the middle of a swamp. No wonder no one lives there.
Definitely better content drops along with life improvements than the previous one.
I just finished it the other day, was a very well done map in terms of playing. Wasn't too rough yet challenging enough. Could let you use some lesser used vehicles and put them through the paces. Used the 8 slot trailer a lot, even the heavy crane to lift cargo off it to a higher point. I liked the extensive road network that you could use, seeing more of that recently and it's actually nice. Not every inch needs to be a slog all the time. It lets you use things like your massive trailer beds and then breaking them apart further down the road.
absolutely fun! but I want to see more detailed cutscenes, like workers running around in yellow jackets and worker helmets with their tools and excavators doing their job etc
I hope they add some deserts maps in the future. It would be so enjoyable. Great video as always 👍
they'll save those for their new game expeditions
@@SD1ONE I'm hoping expeditions is just a first look at what would become of sandrunner, because sand is really the last distinctive terrain type that can be explored into, and I would hate to see the franchise end at whats arguably a spinoff

And i love the game overall, finished most maps up to this season, but since this season i cant play it anymore. It crashes every half our or so on Xbox Series X, even with out mods. Wasn‘t long on my first Hardcore mode …
Bit the chrashes on Xbox seem to be a problem for months now, so i dont think i will play this game anymore
I'm quite enjoying this, but there's things i don't like:
The burlak is almost useles if you don't have the difflock engaged, why they didn't just put a permablock like tatarin??? Just got it, tryed it, and abandoned it, even the loadstar is better
One of my top 3 trucks is the DAN, and i cannot understand why they just released that 1 slot - crane - utility bed, and they don't release a 2 bed and a rear crane for it, they can, but for some reason they don't want to, or maybe a raised platform only for a crane for the front, over the transmission, i feel like saber interactive is giving me the middle finger
Is the only thing separating the DAN from perfection

i dunno if they fixed this, but some cargo framing on some regions were only visible on the main map, only if you arent in it, but on another map! They are still there tho, you just gotta remember their location and set a waypoint there, and when you get closes to them they will appear on the map you currently are too
The Season 11 Scandinavia reminds me of Mudrunner American Wilds DLC. When more proper maintained roads where added.
I recently re-downloaded Snowrunner to get back into mudding and hauling.
Escesially love the GGMS Scania truck mod, Scandinavia and Scania? Perfect match made in heaven.😂
It's different from American wilds, Snowrunner itself is very different from Mudrunner in general.

I put that new multipurpose bed with the crane on my DAN and haven't removed it since. Love it!
yeah... it's a gamechanger for Dan because I really miss crane on that truck... also it looks cool
Damn, now I actually want to play those maps. They sound like a great balance of challenge and fun.

missed opportunity on a movie mission with your truck of choice rampage on set like it was a movie scene but oh well lol
Wait, about the axle update on the MACK, so in your opinion, the axle clipping through the rocks are a upgrade?
For me, I always find it a shame when it does that.
Sure it can be annoying sometimes, but its suppossed to be an obstacle, not cosmetic.
Naaah, even the bad things are waaay less than previous phases. Overall one of the best ones.
The fact you can use pretty much all the trucks in game, not just the op, gives variaty, y love using the western star trucks, but in most maps they are kinda useless.
Not to mention the highway trucks.
8/10, cause like you mention, too little mission, but still recommend

The maps look great, but I think putting a river valley through the middle of them makes them feel smaller than they should.
one bug i got often on this map, is that i couldn't start generator, have to ask a crew in multi to start it and sometime this is them who couldn't start it
Love the use of generators again and crafting making the game more about plan ahead.
I wish the roads were a bit more challenging like in mod maps
Well yea, but having paved roads means its actually feasible to utilize highways trucks. While I do enjoy a good challenge with even a good truck, sometimes pounding out the super heavy hauls on road is nice too, considering the lack of it the rest of the maps.
there is one single regional language sign that i noticed, on the the railway station warehouse on the second map but that's it

I have really liked the terrain in Season 9, 10 and 11. It's more forgiving and lets you use many more trucks, so there's more variety, and as you said, missions are more fun. Since I still have stuff to do there, I'm currently back in Amur, and I'm reminded what a nightmare it is, and how frustrating certain missions are. Having to bring 2 metal bars in Northern Aegis Installation means starting from Cosmodrome, then driving half map of Cosmodrome, crossing Urska River, and crossing Northern Aegis Installation from one side to the other. The truck and trailer flip and fall down a ravine 150 metres from where I had to bring them. Time wasted: almost one hour. It's not fun, it makes you want to rage-quit.

My complain with Amur was not just terrain but the grindy nature of missions, Crafting for example is way hard in Amur. If you decide to make terrain hard then atleast make missions more managable to balance it out.

The Terrain flickering bug is sooo annoying i hate it.. i thought it was only my issue but apparently not! Hope this gets fixed ASAP!
This bug kinda replaces the "spots on terrain" bug as its introduced in last season when they fixed spotted terrain bug.

I wish as you complete a region the random road damage that can't be fixed is just repaired so by the time the area is 100% so are the roads

That's true constant getting dashboarded it's pretty annoying especially when your playing on a coop and you spend nearly a Hour doing a mission just for it to crash and you loose your progression.

I get this a lot too, had black screen and it even made the xbox do a restart, I've noticed if the camera is angled down, it works a lot better

The game needs tasks to fix the roads on all maps, work towards making highways truck useful everywhere

Those are gondolas not cable cars. Gondolas come of the cable and reattach while moving in a continuous and SINGLE direction. Cable cars usually have one or two cars on the cable that are larger and stop to unload. Cable cars switch directions, i.e. go backwards, to get down a mountain.
I really enjoy this dlc, it's soo beautiful (it does not even look like scandinavia but idc)

I m waiting to moment when they fix a bug with spikes coming from the ground and holes in the ground on amd cards. Im sad.

Burlak is a welcome addiction but I would like a future upgrade for diff lock

i havnt played since around season 2 and that was on console, is it worth me picking up snowrunner again but now on pc?
those early seasons were hard... if you like base game maps then year 3 seasons are also similar in difficulty.
The water "glitch" is in fact a feature, and it has been like that since season 9
really... that's strange as water is essentially a cargo and no other cargo survives recovery to garage

As a Norwegian myself, i was disappointed that signs were in english. In Sweden/Norway 90 % of the signs are in the local language.
Same with why not adding Volvo or Scania since they're dominating big trucks here

A good season but I was expecting to watch the movie we helped making in the end
yeah...the movie stuff should have better integration in missions...Year 1 pass seasons were hard but they have better ending than year 2 and 3 stuff....I am glad they brought down repetitive missions this year atleast.

I normally got Burlak from in snowrunner but I just noticed that how unstable when driving on rock and can be easier flipped but it still best vehicle.
yeah it doesn't have flex so and also when it starts tipping it hard for it recover unlike other vehicles which have flex

The phase actually becomes repetitive once you get to the film contracts, those semi-trailers definitely shouldn't be there, I'm already quite tired of them and they just put them in as filler. Something positive? Yes, the maps are definitely beautiful and the vehicles are fine. But the improvements in water and engine smoke and those small details are also appreciated.
I‘m honestly just hoping that season 12 will be what everyone suspects (due to some stickers in the game people suspect that season 12 will be nuclear themed and we might get a chernobyl map)
I don't know if devs make a Chernobyl based map due to what's going on in that war.

They mean the new vinyls, specifically the kodiak design, adds a cool nuclear livery.
The bad part is havingn to move the same movie prop trailer many times.
yeah it was sort of reputative but I still didn't find it annoying due to that delay in unlocking next contact which requires us to haul that trailer again

what do you mean, I am getting 60 fps high setting at 1440p with a 2060
@@SD1ONE the game is so unoptimised, some maps I get 60-80fps but I get frequent fps drops down to 30
yeah some sections of some maps have that issue but mostly it's fine for me....try turning down msaa maybe

I'm feeling some sort of dissonance. No regional language on the map, no regional vehicles, though existing. Like... What makes it Scandinavia? No fjords, nothing endemical to the region. It could've been called Snowy Wisconsin or Winter Yukon and it'd make 0% difference
The map just doesn't look like Scandinavia, too many recycled objects.
I would think the language thing is because they seem to be a bit generic "Scandinavian" and since Norwegian, Swedish and Finnish do not really mix... or well... Norwegian and swedish does sort of... But the finns do not... even slightly... I give it a thumbs down too but i sort of understands it. Why they did not do any Volvo clones tho is a mystery.

Haha - devs removed axle collisions in offroad (!) game - “its good”. Such a BS, huge dislike!
thing is that game trucks are suppose to go though unreal terrain in which real truck would get stuck.... so easier axle model is a necessity to make trucks usable

@@SD1ONE and that's why I have a 4x4 in real life. But to go and make it less realistic seems counter intuitive.
I'd probably play this game again if the physics didnt feel so toyish compared to mudrunner. Trucks use to feel like heavy lumbering beasts, they just feel to much like toys in this one. Shame too cause the games 100x better in every other way than the one thing the games all about, the driving.
