MORE COMPANY OF HEROES 3 FINALLY! I am happy that the dev team is letting the community have at the game in these early stages, to give their feedback on what they like and dislike! We tried a different map, which was a little laggy at the start, but definitely seemed to be less laggy the more we played!

Howdy folks! I have one more CoH 3 video planned, with the MIGHTY TIGER TANK coming this week - hope you have a good rest of your Sunday, got a good ol' MoWAS2 DEFENSE MISSION coming tomorrow!
Samuel
Last stand like the mission you had where you sat in a panther with no fuel and won #gootimes
The icons and buildings bring so much nostalgia with their CoH 1 inspired look
I can only agree, loving the first look at CoH 3 so far!
I was going to write something about beautiness. You said everything
20:50 that Panzer IV hit one hell of a bump in the top right
OH DAMN
dat profile pic dude. ♥️
14:44 you're referring to the "Overwatch" ability, only works as long as the area designated for OW is visible to the artillery. Favourite ability when play as Brits, damn OP, especially against tanks.
Yes that's what it was called!
a Sherman destroying a Brummbär through its frontal armor? For suuuuure
Well its CoH, not MoW
Bruh it's a 76mm sherman, it could definitely do that
Was not expecting that intro tho 🥵
The breaching is so cool lmao
This game looks really good! Keep up the video's.
Thanks man, appreciate ya!
If they really refine the small details of the maps this will look insanely cinematic. Love the building assault but needs more detail of course I know it’s early stage.
I like it but I also wish they could take the COH2 maps and theatre and update it too :(
Building assault looks so bad ass dude!
Those are really good graphics and a really good game made all the better with the dulcet tones of young Davidson. Excellent.
Haha, Davidson is bae
8:39
peak Company of Heroes gameplay
Hahaha
A BAR is where you get drunk and get knocked on your ass....a B-A-R is the .30 cal M1918A2 "Browning Automatic Rifle"...and it is used to knock the other guy down on his ass.
Lmao, im gonna keep calling it a BAR just to piss people off more
I had no idea coh3 is happening. By the looks it seems way better than coh2. It actually looks a lot like the first coh and I hope that it will be just as great as coh1 was.
I personally loves CoH1 so I am down for CoH3 being a sort of remastered CoH1 haha
Had a chuckle when Sherm. called up a mortar early (& got to 3 stars ;-), well done.. Downloaded & only had a chance to play two games today and Pre-Alpha preview end tonight :-P. Look forward to full-release though.
Absolute chad mortar huh? o7
I really hope they have some commanders that allow for alot of the addons for tanks. There was a german commander in the first game that allowed you to upgrade a panzer alot for different situations.
There was no commander in coh 1. Only factions with 3 tech tree (doctrine, support or company) and what your are referring to is the panzer elites faction which allowed the veterancy bonus to be choosed by you so you could make a unit focus more on defense bonus or offensive bonus.
I miss COH1's system, but I hope we get a lot of different battlegroups in COH 3
Not even aware of a new Company Of Heroes 3 release. I'm playing 1 on my mobile, very good game!!!
It's not released yet. This is pre-alpha, and it's playable for a limited time
@@vedatozmenn I didn't know I was in Pre-Alpha. Obg, for the information!!!
I never tried the mobile one, also CoH 3 isnt released yet, will take a while for that!
@@theShermanator I bought the mobile version, it's basically the same thing as the pc version, but with worse graphics, no multiplayer yet and with more diffcult controls to enjoy the game. But for mobile, the graphics are actually really good and the game just defeat almost any mobile strategy games right now. It's also awsome to be able to enjoy this game on just a phone now. Side note, the opposing front dlc has been on it released months ago and I can't wait for the other dlc.
I like the sunny ambience in Italy of COH3
Very different from the rainy atmosphere in most of CoH 1 haha
@@theShermanator Yeah, also very different from the brutal cold Eastern Front of Coh2.
This feels so much more like the original CoH, and that gets me excited. CoH2 was a total bust, this is a huge improvement
I totally agree, weirdly feels like CoH 1 remastered in a way!
I have a great fear that Coh 3 will be very much narrowed down from the vast diversity of what you could do in 2. From dozens of abilities and units you could get based on commanders, 3 might be a bust for me, and b4 you go oh you probably started in 2, thats not the case, I love 1 and all but 2 was an improvement in a lot of ways and unless they do something really new (something good) with 3, the lack of variety in gameplay might make this a straight downgrade (minus the breaching, that shits kickass).
@@okupant880 The rock paper scissors balance of original CoH was exquisite, in CoH2 there just seemed to be TOO much, and it didn't have the same ease of play as the original, far more gimmicks and paywalls. If they can add more variety but keep the same feel, and less paywall bullshit, I'm all in.
For instance, a new Italian faction, great, how about a Polish faction? They were heavily involved in the North African and Italian Campaigns (Tobruk and Monte Cassino come to mind). This game can be kept fresh and fun, but CoH2 strayed in terms of gameplay for me, they took a good thing, tried to make it great, and sure some things were cool, but along the way they lost a lot that made it "good".
@@bpater12 Don't get me wrong, coh 2 has/had issues but i think they went far too much in the opposite direction. While it wasn't very balanced having basically 5 choices for frontline infantry in wehrmacht was great (grens, assault grens(my favs), sturmgrens, storm troopers and ostruppen). You could always check enemy commander choices in the loading screen so it was a game of chess in a way. What will he take, what will he do, maybe he will ignore commander options and use basic means while making me not use my full potential because im keeping a reserve for the what if scenario. I mean i get that it was a bit excessive, but Jesus will coh 3 have a short life because all the enemies youll fight will very soon be a copy paste of each other with almost no real identity.
I didn't like CoH2 early on, but after patches and updates I like it now. Also, maybe I'm weird but I was never a fan of the base building with tanks magically appearing from a battlefield factory in CoH1. Really takes me out of the immersion. CoH2 feels way more realistic in that all new units come as off-map reinforcements, even if they were "built" at one of the on-map bases.
When your playing as America in MP COH3 your freedom mode is switched on
Gotta blast the US anthem while waving the flag while P-47s bomb Tigers and Shermans fire their main guns
If you are not using Assault Engineers you are missing out some. It's a blobing machine lol
Oh really? I should've tried em out!
Show some love to Gates of hell as well
I got some GoH stuff planned for this week, its just that CoH had this limited time alpha right now.. Dont worry!
After "Men of war assault squad", it looks like an educational game for kids.
lmao
Company of Leeroys!
LEEEEEROOOOY JENKIIIINS
For a pre alpha this looks pretty fucking good
Oh yeah!
ggwp
I was wondering if you could use other armies aside from Germans and US? Unless they're the current place holders for Alpha
Thanks!
Currently only Germany and US are available, Italy is confirmed I think
The previous pre alpha showed off the British and USF, so for now the confirmed factions would be US, UK, and Wehrmacht. Afrika Korps is most likely in as the African campaign was teased during the reveal trailer.
So to answer: US and Commonwealth troops (that means Gurkhas and ANZACs as well) for Allies and mostly Germans for the Axis.
They did state Italian troops are also going to be part.
Loving the environment destruction.
Looks interesting for sure!
This is mercyless but also very cool
haha glad you like it!
Is there no anti tank gun in COH3 or you guys just didnt think of building one?
I think there may be a pak but im trying to remember now
sherman pleas tell if coh3 is infested with weird mini-purchases and lootboxes like coh2 was
Im not sure!
The Shooting Range is a bit short, i wait for Men of war 2
Well its a year from release so CoH 3 can improve
Tbh, making the top tier tank for the Armoured Corp the Easy-Eight makes slightly out of sense since it should have been M26 Pershing while you upgrade to the Easy-Eight in the mechanized building.
Wouldnt the Pershing be a bit early in 43 :D
@@theShermanator Yea and neither is it realistic to be fighting the Germans on what seems to be France in 1943 is it?
@@MrLolx2u in CoH2 it's based during the end of WW2, so a pershing makes sense, the British have Comets which also didn't see service until 1945
Is this game going to be a clicks per second, build a quick base, rush tactics kind of game? like starcraft
I dont think so, maybe a little bit, CoH has never been that crazy I think
@@theShermanator now I'm on the fence about this or men of war 2
How does the game run (and what are your system specs)? I know it's in alpha stage but I'm wondering if I'll need to upgrade.
My system specs are in my description, game definitely needs some optimizing but its like a year out from now so
add more chromatic filter and BK mod (pen basic tank battle and bullet velocity)
Oh I'd love a BK mod!
I literally played MoH:Airborne 3 days ago after being so hacked off with how shit Battlefield 5 was, and as MoH:Airborne was one of the only games of that type back then that i didn't play at the time, i figured i'd buy it as it was on sale on steam and play it, to see how it fared. I had INFINITELY more fun than when playing BFV and the game stands up so well! I loved the leaning and peeking system that used controls for it i've never seen another game do, and i enjoyed the ability to do "skill drops" through windows or holes in rooves or landing onto the church spire and killing the sniper in it to steal his rifle etc. Literally the ONLY thing that pissed me off about the game is that the Kar98k is a TWO HIT KILL rifle, when it's bolt action and only 5 capacity, whereas the other bolt action 5 cap gun (the springfield) is a ONE HIT KILL, and the semi-auto rifles are 2 hit kills but have a high rate of fire and much higher capacity... so there's literally no use to ever use the Kar98k at all in the entire game. Aside from that one oversight, the game is great, the guns feel good, the hitboxes are WAY better than BFV, your guys are actually useful, and there's no game breaking animation glitches or bugs etc. Seriously cannot overstate how impressed i was by the game from 2007, especially after how fucked off i was with BFV. Hell, the only reason i even played BFV was because i got it free from Prime.
Damn an essay but I agree, MoH A was great, wish we got more of that style of game, could be cool to be a Brit landing in Normandy, a German on Crete etc
Looks about the exact same to me
Its a year from release, I think we'll see changes
That was great!man I really wanna play the alpha myself you’re so lucky I wish could play it
It was playable for everyone but not anymore now sadly
@@theShermanator thanks for the reply man it was great to see this gameplay thank you
are you able to rebind the camera movement to WASD instead of having to resort to arrow keys or move the mouse to the edge of the screen?
I haven't tried yet, I do wish I could, but im pretty sure WASD some of those might be used for abilities etc.. not sure!
@@theShermanator looking at the vid, yeah some of the wasd keys are used for abilites and such, main thing i dislike about the macro in coh games so far, you cant really rebind any of it xD
relic doesnt do that because wasd is used for abilities and units
CoH3 currently is using Grid based hotkeys for unit abilities and orders (in CoH2, it's not set as default but it is there). It's in some classic/classic-like RTS games (and even MOBAs/MMORPGs use it) and acts as a unification of hotkeys from game to game without having to relearn much of the hotkeys, and it can promote grid placement unification (common shared abilities stay in the same spots etc.).
Grid-based hotkeys mean that the 3x4 grid on the bottom right (or wherever the game has it) corresponds to the standard QWERTY keyboard layout (idk about other keyboard layouts):
QWER
ASDF
ZXCV
We also have RTS games that has Grid-based keys but moved to the right to favor the WASD camera movement. An example would be Ancestors Legacy.
WASD is for Camera movement
RTYU }
FGHJ } - for the orders and abilities
VBNM }
The alternate to Grid-based is Traditional hotkeys which has the general rule of using the names for basis of the Hotkey, although this has some nuances. For example in CoH2 by default:
Attack move is A; Stop is S
C for Conscripts; G for Grenadiers
Then we have nuances in this convention as there are words that have similar starting letters or ideas:
E for Engineers for the Soviets but it's also E for Pioneers for the Germans as P is a very far button to press and Pioneers are basically Engineers.
R is Reinforce so now Retreat is bound to T because... it ends with T I guess? There's also Reverse for vehicles being U due to this.
Merge ability for Conscripts is M but their Throw Molotov is V for the same reason above.
Abilities also can't share a button with A S T and R as those are reserved Attack, Stop, Retreat, and Reinforce which are all general abilities for infantry so now anything that starts with those letters have to have a different bind.
All in all it's up to comfortability and ease of use on which you prefer.
The Devs did say that they are going to add key-rebinding soon though and along with that you can bind camera movement to keys so there's your answer to that. I personally still prefer grid-based and use Mousewheel for panning.
Also thank you for coming to my Ted talk
jesus christ this game needs more polishing
Well yeah its a year from release :D
Has it been confirmed if we can edit key bindings?
Im not sure, but that would be nice
please make more videos on coh in future
Whenever CoH 3 has another test I will!!
This Feels like CoH 1 which i like I really don't like what they did in CoH 2 and the only thing love about it is the quality of life they added and that's it
I get the CoH 1 feel too and it seems many others agree, am very excited myself for future tests!
This game similar with Men of war Right ?
A little bit I guess
They shoulda brought back the pershing
Its a little too early for that haha, I think this goes to about 44, then again the Chaffee is in here so... but no Panthers or King Tigers afaik so
@@theShermanator Ohh I see, well the devs better be extra careful with COH 3, the bad taste of DoW still left a pretty bad impression for me with RTS games
Когда выйдет?
Im not sure what you mean but its a year from release
*tOnk*
str0nk
Nice video bro
Thanks Mert!
So whats new? it looks just like old COH, money grab?
Well its a year from release, I think we will see different stuff
Can't play the game after the update
Well the game is locked now, the test ran from 30th of Nov to 6th of Dec :)
I know. I meant that i couldn't play the game when it was available.😉
so far i like coh2 quite more than this one, its not the same cinematics and i like the comander picking in coh 2, what do you ppl think?
I get it it's early in dev. but that catoonish graphics just make the game older in visuals like Coh2. It's like a Coh1 Remastered...
Im unsure how I feel, I like the CoH 1 remastered feel personally
@@theShermanator THB, The main factor for me will be the solo campaign, for multiplayer I'm sure there will be a lot of good mods from the amazing community.
read it as furry lol
oh no not Furries
Um, This game looks like trash. The graphics look like a step backwards. The gameplay is sub-par with coh2. How hard is it to ask yourself what made coh2 so successful.
Its a year from release, its a pre-alpha, im sure we will see changes
Still doesn't look as good as vanilla mowas2.
MOWAS2 is very dated at this point graphics wise imo
