You are one of the best online teachers I have seen, it just looks so natural how you break down that song and how you bring it over the people watching this video, not only you are a talented player but even though a very talented teacher! One who makes a difficult song like this look very easy. Thank you very much Edit: subscrided!
I've been trying to learn this for a few days not getting the picking pattern. Then i look at my subscriptions and find this, perfect. Helped massively man, thanks
Hey Dave, great video! This is my favorite song of Bear's Den, it's really nice to have a song of theirs that's not in an alternate tuning. I've tried to pick out a couple other songs myself and have found some tabs but I think I've been getting caught up on alternate tunings (Isaac for example). Thanks for the lesson!
Hey thank you so much for this tutorial! I've been playing for only 6 months and I was able to learn it within two days, thanks to your teaching skills. By the way did you ever get to learning the intro part he does on his live sessions? Just curious I'd love to learn that part! - Is it normal for someone who's only been playing 6 months ( & never touched an instrument before) to learn this song that quick? I don't have any friends that play guitar so I can't gauge if I'm improving steadily enough or not. Thanks for your responses and time Dave!
thanks a lot, it really helped me but I noticed while playing it with the song that you missed just a little note on the Am chord, between the first base and the second you have to play the D string
Thank you for doing for this video, so glad I can learn this song! Just a quick question though with the picking pattern, is the following the right order? T, I, M1, T, M3, I, M0, T, M3&I, T, M1&I ?
Thanks for the great video, really like your way of teaching! but does anyone know what the PICKING PATTERN is? I get it up to TIMTMI but then get a little confused :)
Just learnt this one. no criticism, however the picking pattern on the Am chord is wrong. other then that u are on the mark. on the Am u need to add in the 3rd finger and do a roll. so thumb on the A bass, then roll fingers 1 to 3. so finger one plays the D string, 2 plays the G string and 3 plays the B string. then jump back into the original pattern where it pucks up.

Hi Chap, thx for this lesson....for the dumb and the blind. I think I am both of them, and I did it.!!!!
Maybe a stupid question, but can you explain the pattern after the intro? So when he starts singing "agape"? Thanks in advance!
+Lútsen de Jong that's a different song!
Amazing!! Is there a tab for this to follow along with?
Paige Burns no dice I'm afraid. I'm not much of a tab man.
0:34 complete
3:30 5:52 C
You doing it wrong, its played with the capo at the the 9th fret. The guy from bears den has a video showing how to play it properly

@@CaptainJackDaniels I've just seen my comment and I'm so sorry if it came across the wrong way, I had a few drinks last night. no offence intended.
What strings are you using? Great tutorial BTW, really helpful.

Wow that's a great add thanks for the details also on which fingers to use!
I dont know if anyones ever told you this, but you look like a skinny Jason Segel! And even sound like him..
You probably get this a lot, but you look remarkably like Aaron Rodgers.
This couldn't be more wrong...sounds okay, but way off what they actually play.
Thanks Gareth. What would you suggest?
Thank you so much! Brilliant video
No problemo, Chels and Dan! Glad it helped.
