🤨 hives for a buck, good luck with that. Im a NZ beekeeper and i sure as apple's haven't heard of hives selling for a dollar 😂 mores the pity. It cost me $130 bucks for a box with ten frames of foundation for comb honey producing last week 🙄 dollar a hive, bullshit.

The greedy do it for the honey money.
Bee keepers do it as an art, research, and/or hobby.

businesses rise and fall and rise and fall, in a few years there will be less hives as people leave the industry and the prices will go up, then, because prices are high more people will enter the industry and the cycle will begin again. Its just a business cycle. Not great if you produce honey I agree, but I suspect that the cycle will happen.

Dude didn't understand what he copied and pasted in the video.
Manuka honey and normal honey are 2 different types of products.
Manuka honey is a premium product. Just like wagyu meat is to the beef meat industry.
In terms of normal honey the supply is 100x less than the demand. This number might be different from country to country.

It is always painful to see anyone lose their livelihood and even more painful to see evil people gloat at it when they can not be of any help.

Yup, glyphosate is a mongrel, unfortunately bee's travel long distances and a lot of people still think it's safe. It does my head in, I don't want my bee's exposed to it, and I don't want it in my honey either. Organic honey producers get their honey tested for it at hills labs, among other things

@@MinnesotaBeekeeper hi and no apologies needed. The kids(40,s) know all about it but I like the idea of people who know the job,and it is a tough job.
As previously mentioned they assess location and take care of it all and offer some honey but the concept is the best idea and a credit to them.
