    The most wonderful story, including camerawork and narration, that I have ever enjoyed on the Internet; I was transported to heaven!
    Somewhat unironically, I have long dreamed of visiting and maybe even living in Trabzon, which I believe is not very far from this beautiful place.With luck, I might meet Mustafa and the incredible beekeepers of Eastern Anatolia.

    One of the more magical beekeeper setting. Great job of the filming, story telling. Highly recommend this. Beautiful. I've worked a bit with the Caucasian bees. Similar to the Carniolans. A bit longer tongue. 7.3mm compared to 6.6-7mm. The Carnis overwinter better and I think can fly in lower lighting. I'm surprised there was no mention of the Laz people's use of propolis. Honey fed bear steaks? Sign me up!

    : No disrespect to the beekeeper.🙏
    2:50 - The use of smoke will obviously make the bees go calm, hence they wont sting anyone, if disturbed.
    3:15 - I'm sorry but it looked like that bee, stung his head. see the bump on that part.
    21:00 - " Sue the bear "? - Did he mean hurt it? This is encouraged by everyone in the room...
    23:00 - The honey must be harvested, only if the honey filled combs are sealed right?
    I love the content overall. Its encouraging, to continue beekeeping. 🙌

    It only takes one strand of cheap visable poly wire and a solar electric fence energizer to deter bears.

    • @MinnesotaBeekeeper

      Solar panel in a deep forest...? No but it would be nice.

    • @AwesomeFish12
      @AwesomeFish12 6 місяців тому +1

      Might have to get creative with the solar panel placement but it looked like they were getting enough light through at a couple of the sites they showed. In the footage of the bear it looked like there was an electric fence, but it clearly wasn't deterring that particular bear.

    Hilarious. Clever editing. Really dislike romanticizing beekeeping. Opening scene the guy talks to his bees saying they'll never sting him. He then proceeded to pick up a few bees by hand and they flew right into his forehead. Next scene, you can see on the forehead where they stung him. Lol
