@lostinthedesert-hp4bw 🤦🤦🤦 I don't believe you understand what military boot camp is supposed to be. It's not about simply yelling at people to get them to do what you want. It's about inducing stress Into someone and see how they react. Do they buckle under pressure or do they find their bearing and move forward. Do you have any idea how many of these people have never faced any type of adversity, had someone tell them "no" or provide structure? I met guys in bootcamp that didn't make it past the first day. I met others that didn't last a week. I met others that broke down after reality set in that they could not just call home for help anymore. Some couldn't tie their own boots because mommy always bought them slip on shoes since they were a kid. We had to teach them how to tie their own boots. Some couldn't fold their own clothes because they never had chores growing up and all was taken care of by someone else. We had to teach then that. We started with 128 recruits and only 78 Marines graduated. No shit you can just ask someone to do what you need them to do, but that's not the reality of what you may be throwing these young men and women into. You are building them to potentially go to war and have to kill or be killed by an enemy that doesn't give a shit about yelling at you. You break under the pressure of someone just screaming, you're gonna die and just get others killed in the process. Bootcamp is to weed out all who won't make it. I'm taking my ASVAB the eigth and then going to physical and MEPS pray for me. My cardiovascular is not perfect I am slightly fat but have a decent amount of muscle mass and my endurance in running has gotten a lot better. Just pray for me cause I suck at math.
I definitely wish I didn't get locked up in my 20's then had a bilateral hernia repair. Wasn't in the best shape or have best practice asvab score so they didn't want to help with my court stuff. Went through hell and back to avoid becoming a felon. I want to join and get my serving in. I'm 33 now. This my last chance, but It would be pretty different bein the grown man in bootcamp. By the time I do a few yrs I'll be almost 40 finally getting the high paying career I want or starting my own business which I'm currently doing now with powerwashing.
Imagine going through all this just to be a part time soldier is crazzzzyyyy
Part time? What
@@PolandMapping national guard your not a full time soldier your litterally a soldier once a month lol
@@Brotschnider lmao didn't even realise it said national guard my bat
Basic is fun and at 0:14 , which was the same dude that gave me the peanut shot, he look like someone you can have a genuine conversation, but they at like robots throughout your time training to be a soldier
I leave In 11 days and I’m nervous bc it’s something I have never done in my life but also excited bc I can’t wait to meet ppl and accomplish basic and Ait.
Be pumped man! I was nervous too! Feels like a fever dream. Hardest thing for me was missing home that’s it! Just go in and cherish those moments that you are going to make with your brothers!
My cousin went to join the marines and I won’t see him for 5 years and trust me when I say I’ll miss him like hell but I know he’ll be strong
I’m at the hotel can’t sleep waiting to get on the bus to MEPs to then get on a plane to army basic in fort Jackson South Carolina wish me luck y’all #goarmy
Ft Leonardwood had a giant oak right outside the escape door , saw many soldiers run dead into it full speed , I missed it lol November 85 echo 2 -2
You 🏬 brought back a lot of good 👍 👌 memories thank 😊
The worst part about the army is they wont take me back cause i'm 52 :-)
Haha love how he’s being so nice because they want people to join. The second that camera goes away it’s gonna get real in there
Yep. What was your experience like?
I want to thank the past and present U.S. soldier's . Thank you ❣🙏
I'm. Going on the 14 th and 15th to Meps for the national guard can't wait
the first third of this video is reception. What your recruiter won't tell you is you'll be stuck there for a few weeks waiting to go to actual bootcamp. You'll get your gear and your head shaved, then its hours of standing around and waiting for 2-3 weeks.
I wanna join the armed forces so I can have a good career but is it better to go national guard or army?
National if you still want to do college
My older brother spent 30+ years in the Army starting in 1969. He did not find basic training hard. Went Airborne then learned to speak the Arabic language along with having a LOT more educational opportunities! Received a Masters Degree while serving.
Put them on the ranger course see how they do send the top two to ranger school ensure team work skills in all aspects
You are the Man Bro..💪💪👍
I’m meeting my recruiter next week to start the process, any tips or suggestions? Would be appreciated.
My friend joined the national guard I was there with him when he signed up at school I chose to be a firefighter
I’m tryna go to the military but not anymore with these shots and getting blood drawn bro 😢
literally i’m terrified of needles
It looks fun as hell.
Joining the Army is a tradition it's tough becoming a soldier I know US Army Veteran retired when you raise your hand and take the oath your joining the world elite fighting force this we defend and be all you can in the Army
9% of the time it is, the other 89% is either getting smoked, marching and other boring shit
@@vinchin8486wdym getting smoke. Action? Im deciiding on joining the militart i am 19 years old
