That full speed arm bar was the worst demonstration of an armbar I have ever seen. Its really not about speed like he says. Its about control. The army has a really big problem with its idea of instructing the instructor. Basically every combatives instructor is a white belt who learned from a white belt, that also learned from a white belt. It would be so easy to just pay for combatives instructors to train at their local bjj gym. Mandatory blue belt from a reputable coach to qualify as an instructor.
