@@BlerdWithoutFear I had a discussion with a guy online about why they hardly use BlueMarvel, he said well Marvel doesn't know what to due with him because he's so powerful. I responded to him by saying so Hyperion shows up a guy who kept two universes from colliding and then next thing you know he's an Avenger. This just tells me they could showcase BlueMarvel if they wanted to.

Blue Marvel also has kids, one of which is the only person to enter and exit the Omniverse and gained some type of powers that was never really explained. It would be awesome to see Blue Marvel with his kids, and Spectrum all come together to form the first Black cosmic level family. Also, Blue Marvel and Spectrum could eventually have a child of their own who could grow up to be a powerhouse in their own right like Franklin Richards

I would like to see a black couple have their own comic book series speaking of black issues of today in a more reliable since, the camaraderie that both brothas and sistas have with each other when it comes to relationships, politics, religion, eugenics practices against blacks, racism in the justice system, difference between foundational black americans & black immigrants, and racism from a realistic black point of view with issues that the mainstream media never addresses not just from white supremacists but from other races of people who discriminates against black folks and even tackling Black LGBTQ who also are discriminated against by other races of people from the LGBTQ people of different communities all while facing the villain of the month.
And I too would love to see them out on a double date with T'challa & Ororo and even Sam Wilson & Misty Knight or a triple date all while fighting super villains that interrupted their dates.
Now when it comes to that Luke Cage poster, the only one I didn't see is Bushmaster Cruz.

I think the interaction I would probably want to see most is Adam brussier with Miles Morales. Just seeing their two very distinctly different perspectives as a black man from the 1950s and a black kid from the 2010s. Miles giving blue marvel a tour of New York, Adam telling miles about why he had to go into hiding, maybe even saying "I'm glad to see one of my own fighting the good fight. I know the world's changed and gotten a bit better, but not by that much." And miles comes back with "Oh I know, but we made it very aware that we are not our grandparents. If they want to smoke they can come get it." And Adam would go "The smoke?" In miles would try to explain but just quit.
As for spectrum, let's see her with storm. The two most powerful women on the planet just spilling tea. Storm invites Monica to krakoa, They go to that Yankee Star wars like bar that they have there, they may run into Gentle, we get Monica's perspective on what the mutants are doing, personally I think she would be on board. The X-Men will probably gain a new ally or two. Scratch that they would definitely gain two allies because Adam would totally be in after the way he was treated by the government.
You know what I just want them to interact with the X-Men a lot more now just thinking about that.

I would but it. I love how they transformed Blue Marvel into a seasoned character and not just a racial footnote.
Back in 2006, Luke Cage was talking to T"Challa about creating a Black superhero team. I wouldn't mind seeing a team formed along those lines.
Black Panther and Storm were leading the FF. Sue and Reed took time off to get themselves together after the first Civil War.

So, I would love to see a Blue Marvel and Spectrum comic. Now, my bias for mutants is real so I would have them open up an academy for gifted children that do not want to leave the US and their families.
I could see them doing something like that. Especially after every thing that had happened between them during Civil War 2.
Blue Marvel and spectrum are so criminally underrated they definitely need more attention and respect in marvel. As they have so much potential Blue Marvel needs to have a proper solo series. To expand his character and abilities and give him a cool rogues galary on pare with the fantastic four.
I never comment anyone's video but I loved this video that much. I argue that Blue Marvel is the most underrated and most powerful character in Marvel. His powers, his training as a Marine and he is in my opinion one of the top 5 smartest people. He is my favorite character and would love to see a comic with him and a strong black woman. Not just basic strong, can destroy a world strong.

I heard someone in the comic shop once explain to his girlfriend that Black Panther is essentially the black Batman. That was complete and utter nonsense.

The only way I see a book with these two working is if the setting is off-world. Somewhere they'd have a credible threat that can oppose them. Maybe have an issue where Gladiator attacks them and we finally get that Blue Marvel vs Gladiator fight I've been waiting for.

Another way I could see this working as if you take a hero and turn them evil and it's on a credible enough threat say like the new wlder of the super flow(star brand) is evil and they have to come back to him

I dont remember what run it was where I first came across Blue Marvel, but I was instantly intrigued and had no idea who he was. That was weird, because I grew up with the Marvel U. I came to really take to the character, and hunted down the miniseries that introduced him. Loved him in Al Ewing's Mighty Avengers and Ultimates, and I thought, what a great underused character! Monica was on the Avengers when I first discovered them in 1983, so I've always liked her. I'm definitely for these two getting their own book, and if anyone here isnt familiar with Blue Marvel, definitely google up an appearance list and get reading (I especially recommend any Al Ewing stuff).
I liked them in The Ultimates, so much so that The Ultimates became and still is my favourite superhero team. I would like to see them together again on a team led by T'Challa. And It would be ideal if Dr Voodoo and Ri Ri Williams rounded out the team. The potential tension between Adam Brashear and Jericho Drumm would be very interesting.
Tchalla Spectrum and Blue Marvel have always been my version of the Big 3 for Marvel, vs DC Batman Wonder Woman and Superman
This video was ON POINT! LOVED the content! You were SPOT on about Spectrum and Blue Marvel. They are in a class of their own and should be treated and written as such. I have to disgree about the artist though. As a Milestone collector back in the day, characters of this magnitude deserve sharp definitive illustrations that don't make them to look demonic at times, ala Cloak back in the day. That said it would be refreshing to see their interaction with other Black characters in the Marvel universe. Why haven't we seen Miles Morales and Synch in a two on two pick up game against Night Thrasher and Prodigy. Mess around and throw Cloak, Patriot & Rocket Racer in the mix and it's ON! Does Rage have game? This would be a GREAT book to showcase a multitude of other, preferrably black, characters and their powers.

It's sad Marvel hasn't made this comic or even brought back the relationship between Black Panther and Storm. There aren't many power couples in Marvel outside of Reed/Sue or Rogue/Gambit.

PantherDeNoir I love this comment. I wish we could’ve gotten a Black Panther, Spectrum, and Blue Marvel centric arc in Ultimates. I feel like they could’ve had a Batman, Wonder Woman and Superman dynamic. That would’ve been dope in my opinion. Sadly, Marvel just don’t seem too interested in using Spectrum and/or Blue Marvel for anything. Hopefully when WandaVision comes out we’ll see more Spectrum in comics, merch, video games etc.

The biggest reason why they are not popular is because she was once captain Marvel before they Through her aside And him being new in 2009 also they were never attached to a major character Like if he did some covert missions with Wolverine in the sixties or fifties after he was scaring people maybe he would have more fan ship But I agree they are both awesome and underrated.

I agree, and would buy this in a second. They both don't get enough respect as far as I'm concerned. Plus the Captain Marvel movie played Monica. I didn't like that whole perceived dynamic of Monica looking up to Carol. I know that opinion is in the minority, but seeing that took away from the movie for me.
@@MoebiusUK Nah, I'm not thinking of the mother. Though the "single mother whose white best friend saved her when she was single and with child" storyline bothered me too. I just meant in the comics Monica and Carol are friends that are equals. In the movie she's a child who looks up to Carol. It was a weird dynamic that Marvel chose to go with. Especially giving Monica that "Lieutenant Trouble" nickname. It was a cool easter egg, but it wasn't for me.
Honestly, none of the stuff with Monica or Maria Rambeau in Captain Marvel bothered me at all.

My whole thing is that with so few black characters being used, I just wish they introduced her in a way that didn't play into the black single mother stereotype. I would have been fine if they at least mentioned what happened to the father, since he exist in the comics. I even thought making the mom a fighter pilot was dope
@e34re: I agree with you. I hate what was done in the CM movie and quite frankly they should have just left Monica/Maria out of the movie instead of the disrespect especially of Monica. She never should have been shown as a child worshiping at the feet of a white woman that she's always been peers with and even held the CM title before. Now everything Monica does is going to be tied to "auntie Carol". It's a really bad narrative.

You Know I wonder If There Is a Hang Out Spot For Overpowered Super Heroes Who Never Get That Call For Big World Ending Events.
A Blue Marvel and Spectrum comic would be awesome. They two character have so much potential that is never truly see. Not only can Monica transform into any form of electromagnetic energy she can also replicate other energies such as the Green Lantern ring. Adam can control matter and antimatter. I would love to see how Monica and Adam's kid would interact. Would they accept her? Would they hate her?
Guilty Gear Strive showed a black samurai like character and the end of the first trailer. They haven't shown much of him since then, but I can feel that he will be OP.

I love the idea that they would be continuing with the Ultimates' ethos of handling problems before they become problem, and the rotating roster of guest characters (preferably POC characters) for each mission sound pretty dope.
Though I feel like you kinda missed some thing that would be essential to a book like that and would definitely make for some interesting stories. For instance, what Blue Marvel was up to since the sixties. We know he doing his own staff outside heroism, he raised a family (that would definitely be a saucy conversation) , did some research into the neutral zone (the fact that he got a son that basically a god in that dimension) and all that. I feel like a writer could get a lot of milage out of that gap and possibly expand on BM's rogues gallery or something. The same could be done with Monica, we could get some callbacks to her time as Captain Marvel and some missions she did solo without the Avengers and also address her sexual identity as bisexual. However the most important thing...we gotta see that fusion in action!!
Seriously, this would make for a dope book if you got the right creative team with the right amount of passion. Definitely shouldn't be a fluff book done for the sake of it, it's gotta have stakes and huge scope, world building for these characters to carve out their own unique corner in the Marvel universe.

This would be an amazing concept! Marvel sort of, semi explored this with the Ultimates. I think they could revisit the Ultimates. Monica, Adam, T’Challa, America, Carol, … add Storm, Ironheart, and Bishop … 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Most times they give titles to writers who don't particularly care for any character. I feel that while Hickman is a great writer he's less concerned with fleshing out characters. His stories sometimes get so elaborate and far reaching that you forget who the characters are. After Ultimates, we see all the other members thrown into other stories. All the other members are just as powerful but still used. Go fogure.

💯 BLACK HEROES MATTERS
You forgot about the antagonists of their joint comic saga. You should have mentioned the archtype of their hypothetical antithesis that are newly created for their comic book run. I believe that heroes are only as interesting as the villains they go against. This is why I love Black Panther so much. I'm not very fond of the usual global threat story archs that are often escalated to solar system, galatic, universal, etc... The best stories are personal. The Sentury is just an universal threat that appear in many comics. For that matter, we could mention every other inter planetary threat.

What needs to happen, is for DC to sell off all Milestone properties so that comics, movies, animation and games can go back into production. I think I read somewhere about Dwayne McDuffie's wife trying to get back all the Milestone rights or something to that effect. If those rumors are true, then I gotta say, that would be awesome

I would like to see a Blue Marvel and Spectrum comic. They could be like Vision and The Scarlet Witch. I think the thing with powerful characters like this is coming up with a weakness for characters that are powerful like that. For example how do you make a battle between Blue Marvel & Spectrum versus The Wrecking Crew look interesting? Or even the U-Foes?
That's the dilemma that some writers face with these kind of characters and that's somewhat my theory as to why they ain't used in huge events.
Well Spectrum’s weakness might be whatever her EM Energy is? Maybe the Wrecking Crew could gain vast intelligence and learn how to outsmart, and they both have to work together has 1 to defeat the Crew? Or it could be a philosophy battle?
After WandaVision episode 7....if this is the beginning of Spectrum, eventually Blue Marvel must appear. Since mcu wont be reacsting for T'challa..we need a black power couple

I want to see the Blue Marvel and Spectrum receive a level up from the One Above All, a multiversal level up making them in fact the "Who you going to call" of Marvel comics capable of putting down multiversal big baddies.
I also would like to see them get their own team where Blue Marvel also levels up Wonderman and the Vision making them both the most powerful versions of themselves.
Just my two cents worth bruh.

I want to see all the build up for Knull coming to Earth, and after months of build up, Blue Marvel and Spectrum show up and utterly destroy him in 2 panels. Maybe the see Knull on his way to Earth stop him, and suddenly Venom suddenly don't sense him anymore.

They both need a personality makeover first with Monica, she needs to be sassy, a wise mouth, and a realistic person. If I had to give the black community an example of her personality it would be a combination of Ms Parker and Moesha. She also needs to have a goofy side or at the very least some nerd culture like she is a big fan of star trek. Adam being smart and educated would be a fun mix of Colton goofy and odd characteristics and Philips wisdom, he would like the very out dated things and being mad corny but in a cute way that Monica loves. Also we need an origin of their relationship im not sure if they ever had one, oh but if we ever had a title for their comic or possible show it should be called the Marvelous.
