Because many shows only have the shoes in one size so the models are often wearing shoes that are two small or two big. The ones rolling the ankles are likely in heels to large.
This isn't half the time first off and second of all sometimes the runways can be very slippery.
I don't have a problem with the heels and it is shown that the girls can take off the heels.
Laughing it off is more professional than acting like it didn’t happen in my opinion

stxrdusty during most fashion shows they only have a few different sizes spanning all the shoes needed for the models so they can end up with shoes a size or two too big or small. Usually they trip because they’re wearing shoes too big, it’s a fine detail that they can easily fix. They just haven’t 🤷🏻♀️

They didn’t “choose” to wear them. The designers pick and choose which model wears what. They were not “forced,” but it is their paying job so many felt obligated to.

Some models have designated shoes to present, but most of the time they end up with the wrong size. It’s also one of their rules to never ever walk with your feet side to side, always walk in front of the other. However these models have to deal with these shoes, so it’s extra hard for them to do that
