I think it's just conqueror's haki but because these guys are demonic in some sense - their haki is manifested by taking a more ominous nature, which in turn effects it's properties since it the manifestation of their sinister will. Saturn conjures some type of hell looking flame too which looks a lot like Zoro's green flames in King of HELL mode.

Im leaning more towards that Saturn is using Haki, cuz we see Shanks basically stun lock greenbull when he did a drive by on Wano, and when Shanks boarded Whitebeards ship, his Haki was doing physical damage to the ship.

I also think it's Haoshoku. If I'm not wrong, it was once stated that Haoshoku becomes more powerful with experience. These elders (and Imu) seem to have been there since a very long time as the highest authority in the OP world. So, it would just makes sense that they posses an over powerful Haoshoku that is fueled by an evil spirit on the top of their age and experience.
A lot of people say that they cant have Haoshoku since they are Imus lapdogs, but Akainu is also just a lapdog at the moment.
but also Imu and the Elders conquered the Ancient kingdom, and the Elders are on their knees asking what light should be snuffed out. The Elders are willing to Conquer the world to then serve it to Imu on a silver platter, and be a King for a King

I think the announcement for those below Rear Admiral to clear the area was for there own Safety as the fear aura and proximity life drawing is "always on" and could kill fodder even before eye contact causing death depending how close to the Yokai the folder is
Kizaru is "protecting" Saturn as all subordinates do for the boss. Queen explicitly said that he, King, and Jack "protect" Kaido. Marco and Jozu protected Whitebeard at Marineford. Zoro and Sanji consistently protect Luffy.
Even Shanks' fleet fodder insisted on trying to protect Shanks despite being the ones in need of his protection.
It's an extremely common dynamic

I don't know how I feel about the story introducing ANOTHER type of power SOOOOOOO LATE into the story. Haki barely got a clean pass because it was sort of hinted by Shanks in the beginning and Enel when he referred to it as Mantra. I hope its just conquerors haki but a demonic version of it.

There’s a panel where Sanji is fighting Page 1 and we see black lightning when Sanji kicks while being invisible. I think black lightning indicates a strong haki infused attack, not just conquerors

I feel like there's a strong argument for Haki being a spirit power and maybe the more "natural" power system of the world, hence why it can beat Devil Fruits.
From Vegapunks description I feel like DFs are 100% man made somehow, so it makes sense that the man made power, can't rival the original power of the world.
As a side note because someone mentioned what Imu could be. I'm still convinced the original Imu turned themselves into a Devil Fruit and their will overpowers every new user of the fruit. So every new user is just another body for Imu.

the fact that Zoro was immobilized when he saw the grim reaper, who some could say is from the underworld , now Saturn in that panel is exuding an invisible force that is producing the same immobilization effect. there could be something there for the underworld aspect.

I think it's their personality getting changed from the awakened devil fruit. Luffy is himself when in base form, but when in his awakened gear 5 form, his personality turns completely wacky. I think this applies the Saturn as well, but from the sense of the actual yokai. Which would also explain why others can feel that scary presence similar to Luffys happy presence. Which these devil fruits the gorosei have might've been created by Imu or something.

Will power is directly connected to spirit. Thought that was clear as day as soon as haki was introduced.
If he one of the 5 elders and the incantation on his summoning circle looks like the number 5 maybe that's all there is to it he's the 5th ranked and first introduced makes sense. If he's "immortal" and has a nasty devil fruit no doubt he's going to have hench haki. No point introducing foder this late in the game. What are people actually watching/ reading. 2 piece is in full effect.

I was thinking about the summoning circle and it having more abilities than we think. Maybe as long as they are in the circle, Saturn make the rules of that area. They probably can’t move 5 minutes after entering Saturn’s circle, he takes no damage and his attack speed increases x10.
Saturns invisible attack could very well be COC Haki cause we've seen that shanks was able to pinpoint his Haki directly to Greenbull without Harming Anyone of the People fighting him. Also Greenbull was holding his Head when it hit him. Shanks could've been using the same haki Saturn did but Greenbull being an admiral is less susceptible to it so he didn't have his head blow up.
A little of topic but going back to brook i think brook could achieve an awakening that would allow him to bring other souls back from the underworld and allow whatever soul he wants to exist in the realm of the living for a short period of time, maybe like a few hours or so, and possibly if he also has a vessel or that persons corpse he can put them back into their body or the host vessel. I think that if this ever actually happens itll be a plot tool for brook to bring back the OG joyboy for he himself to deliver the information/backstory of what happened during the void century

We already have a mechanism in the story which allows you to hold someone no matter how strong they are. If you can manipulate someone's shadow, you can do all kinds of stuff. It's important to note that the mechanism itself exists outside of the devil fruit. Just like we have multiple fruits which can manipulate souls, what if there are multiple devil fruits which allow you to control shadows?

There are a lot of people buying into the "Yokai" connection, perceiving Saturn's fruit as a divine/demonic fruit, as if it's a thing. Oda is not that simple. The only reason Vegapunk said that fruits were born out of imagination, is because he has no idea of how it actually came to be. Technology that precedes him, and is greater than what even him can perceive.
That said, Saturn's fruit gives me Punk Hazard vibes. (Animal body parts that were attached by law, using the Ope Ope no Mi)
I think certain devil fruits were scientifically made to have multiple abilities. An amalgamation of different fruits into one, scientifically made during the Void Century! Perhaps 5 fruits into one to tie to the number 5 scheme, or 6 powers to tie to Impel Down. About the powers, we've seen 5 so far: A bull, a spider, a gleam based fruit, a self-regen, and a force field. I think the summoning thing is not his ability, although could be... However 5 is already too many abilities for a fruit to have, i think it's suspicious.
I even think that the other elders might have similar super-fruits like that.
Perhaps what makes it "demonic" is the lack of purity. The more you fusion lineage factors, the heavier is the person's aura. Hell, this could tie even to previous arcs like Thriller Bark and the shadow theory, or Punk Hazard and body experimentation.
Also the mythical scarf of legends that symbolizes awakening, might just be lunarian lineage factor used during the fruit's creation.
This could even tie to current day arc, since it's basically science involved, and the seraphim also have lunarian fire. At least that's what makes sense to me, more than discussing religion onto a scientific arc.

Saturn's ritual summoning circle could be a new power system. I think it would be great to see other power systems introduced in the One Piece world. Oda's world building is truly something special.

Saturn probably has a new form of haki called devil's or demon's haki. Essentially, the will of the devil, Emu. They are extensions of her in a way, because they enforce her will. If Imu's the devil, and they enforce the devils will, then being god or king of the world, that will would be equal to if not greater than conquerors haki. Because, you are at the top of the world. You are the one's who must be conquered in another is to rule. It's still conquerors, or a different form of it.... potentially.
And haki is a power of the spirit/soul (same thing here), which is where the will resides.
What if they utilize the vegapunk bubbles even on themselves like the Fishman arc.....

theres a marine that says its weird lightning. characters never refer to haki as lightning in the manga, we as readers do that. the marine fodder would call it haki of it were haki, but he calls it lightning. when has any character called haki lightning, or even noted to the fact that it looks like lightning?
