Great video man thank you. Cool synth. Emulations don’t have the presence of the real thing. But the fun factor here is off the hook. Yes especially with a touch screen as I read in another comment.
I think the truth is somewhere in between, i did program some cs80 patch, that is atleast sound like a cs80, if the gx-80 atleast is 50% close enough to a cs80, then i am happy. Offcourse , its not possible to emulate real analog 100%, atleast not yet. For me, the gx-80 is a great synth. What can i say😕.
@@pcuimac There is an option to "auto translate" the captions. Works pretty well, it even picks up the English that he is speaking as English. You have to click the settings wheel right next to the captions to see it. Then click the captions there, and its either "Automatic", or "Auto Translated" I think. :)
Only thing that bugs me apart from the poor graphics anim of a pressed down key is that you can clearly hear the steps inc/dec in the portemento when the range is set higher than 1 octave. They have to at least double the resolution and most likely quadrouble it to get a smooth transition over multiple octaves. I really like that Cherry Audio have combined the GX-1 mode and CS-80 mode. Wonder how well the filter sweeps is if you assign it to a high reso fader or dial and goes slowly from min to max. The portemento is definetly subpar to a real analog instrument. Definetly a fine instrument that can become better with upcomming updates. Not gonna nitty pick wether It sounds like a real CS-80 or GX-1 cause most of those that just states that it sounds nothing like a CS80 99% of those have never played any of them themself. But obviously a such advanced electronic machinery as these were is almost impossible to emulate just "close" to the actual sound and feel. The GX-1 was a technological marvel of its time and propably the biggest electronic enginering achievement ever done when it comes to electronic musical instruments. Just to be able to have a cheap digital software emulation of such iconic monster instruments is nice and amazing as most of us won't ever see one in real life outside the Yamaha Museum 🙂
Very good video demonstration... without subtitles though.
これ画面のそのままハードウェアでリリースしてほしいシンセサイザーですね。
やはり画面上だけでなく、モノとしてほしい。

GX-1と言えばやっぱり"Fanfare for the Common Man"ですよね!
Wonder what Emerson would be able to do with it

Could you please do english subtitles again?
you can do the autogenerated one which is how I am watching now.
@@lorenmorgan1931 Yeah but it's not as accurate as the english captions they used to do on the channel
@@mlewmisc tis true, lol. i know they used to upload the english version a few days after the original.
@@lorenmorgan1931 There are only japanese auto-generated captions on my iPad.

Not even close to the CS-80 but BRILLIANT Instrument with a ton of options .Great video :)
Not a cs80 at all but still a good sound source. Would be fun to work with a touch screen.
Not smooth enough. Sounds weird
