To me, this demo sounded nothing like an acoustic guitar on any setting. But the THR-()A series amps have mic modeling that make the piezo pickup in an acoustic electric guitar sound truly acoustic. Amazing sound. So even though the acoustic mic profiles in the THR-()A models are just software, they don't put those mic profiles in the THR10ii? WTH? And vice versa, they don't put the electric guitar modeling in their THR-()A models? The only differences between the A and non-A versions are the stickers below the knobs and what software features they decide to enable or disable at no cost to them. Needless to say, all THR amps should have the exact same signal processing capabilities accessible in the App, the only differences being the hardware: default knob assignments/labels, wattage, speakers, wireless input, line jacks, charger, etc. That Yamaha wants a person to have to buy two separate amps for acoustic or electric focus--for no reason at all except profit--makes me disgusted enough to not buy either. If I'm mistaken, please comment.

I agree that acoustic guitar should have a pure acoustic sound...just amplify if needed....if you start to add chorus and reverb and delay you might as well just play an electric...another great video demo!
@@GearGasms Yup likewise...I did the same thing with my early recordings with that chorus fix and looking back it sounds so over produced and antiseptic...the best sound is just the pure strings on the guitar top played into a mic...all part of learning...been there done that...lol
I'm looking into this amp to use with my Yamaha NTX series hybrid classical. I love the sturdiness of the amp and every time I'm at guitar center I want to grab it but not for 500 bucks lol. Starving musician issues
This is the 10 and cheaper than that I think? Unless prices went up. I get you on the cost being an issue. Maybe used? Would love to have you subscribe if not already! Thanks

.....$300 for 20W ??...I don't know...My Fender Acoustasonic was that price- 100W....I look for a deep, bass- ey, rich sound that helps be forgiving of slowness in chord changes since I'm still fairly new.......

Thanks BB! I used to slather chorus on my acoustic when I played solo gigs in the 90s and I had no idea how awful that was then but I learned! Lol
