This was an absolute lifesaver. I restarted my poncho I have no idea how many times at this point but it's finally not twisted. I don't think I have ever been so grateful for a stranger on the internet in my entire life.
Thank you SO much for this! I’ve struggled with chains twisting forever, it stopped me doing certain projects but this has changed that and freed me up loads 🖤
This was awesome thank you so much. I have a lot of trouble keeping my foundation chain from twisting. You explained simply and clearly a technique that anyone can do, and I'm grateful.
I’m finding many videos about how not to twist the foundation chain, but no one shows what a twisted one looks like, and how that effects the next row. I’m still never sure I’m doing it right because when I get to the end of the first row i can’t decipher what’s what and it still looks twisted. Please can you show how the next row looks? And what it would look like if it’s twisted? And where the stitches go for the first row. I’m always so confused crocheting into a chain and what loop is what! Thanks for any info! 😉
Just what I needed! As a beginning crocheter I was getting so frustrated that my chains kept twisting even though I was sure I had it straight. This is very clearly shown and demonstrated. Thank you!
Thank you so much!!! No matter how hard I tried, I could never get a join I was happy with. Wish I'd found you earlier. Have subscribed so will check in every now and then.
This video has a lot of potential. In the future use a BRIGHT color yarn that contrasts with your dark hook and neutral background. Otherwise we can't see a thing you're doing.
What about insuring second row doesn't twist as well. Can you go a step further and demonstrate maybe the second row with a double crochet of 120 chains in a round?
I'm sorry, but couldn't tell exactly where you inserted the hook into the first chain! (I'm using a small tablet, so it's harder to see!) I'd appreciate your explanation!!! 💕
I Have almost completed a c2c with One color at beginning as a corner and then the pattern that has several colors , so the beginning looks great , yet now I’m almost towards the end , it seems I can not add the first color that I had started with until I Finish the pattern and then I will need too add , which I’m afraid it will not look as good as the beginning . Would you have any Ideas ? You may private message since I do not receive all messages
Sara i know if anyone can do this it would be you im in desperate need for a quick and simple newborn hat but with a brim i got it to where i chain 6 and end up with 5 it looks like the right height for a newborn hat im finding hats but they do brim last and to me it would be much easier and nicer with starting with brim first any suggestions please and scratch mittens with the same style as a brim has

This was mind-blowing! I came here after restarting my twisted chain multiple times. Thank you!!

This is great ! I'm making a sweater that I chain 72 and join a d I can join and continue adding chains!
Omg thank you, I've been stuck on a 70ch twisting situation. That second tip is a game changer rn 😁👍
OMG thank you!! I'm trying to join a chain of 142, and have messed it up twice. Now after watching your video it's easy!
Wow easy peasie. Now maybe I won’t avoid those projects. Thanks. Pamela from Ohio
OMG!! Thanks for the tips, second way is just so easy and helpful, thank you 🌸💕
At last a really clear tutorial about this tricky technique! Thank you soooo much 🌺
You’re very welcome :)
I wish I knew this 5 hats ago,. Very easy and helpful. Thanks
Enter into the bump... Brillant!
There is no bump just trebles that keep getting twisted

That is completely brilliant!!

This is great! Thank you. That second one is so clever
Thank you :)
Thank you! I spent a lot of time looking for those techniques. You have solved my life. You are the Best. Best regards from Mexico City.
So glad to have helped :)
Have been looking everywhere to solve the 'twisting' problem on a 100 stitch foundation. thanks so much
Super helpful and such a good technique. Thank you for this video, these are hard to come by on UA-cam 🥰
Thank you, this looks so easy to do.
What a great tip, Thank you!
AHHHHHH!!!! I think you just saved my sanity!!!
This is fantastic because I have a chain with 150 stitches..and can’t remember how many times I’ve tried to join them!
Brilliant! Now I can make a cowl in the round. A few of them ended up being seamed thanks to several hopelessly tangled chains. Lol. Thanks! 😊
Brilliant! Thank you very much!
Thank you so much for this vid and I always love to see girls who also get nail polish on their skin too!!! lol
Thank you for this priceless help!
You’re very welcome :)
Some heroes don’t wear capes!🙏🏽💐
Thank you so much for this video
Thank you very much for making this video !!🪡🧶
Thank you for this video, I’m going to try this on my dress pattern!!!
Very helpful from Alaska🤗❄️❄️❄️
Wow!!! Thank you so much!!!
Great tutorial!! Also what is the brandname of the beautiful blue yarn you are using?
Thanks! This is the Caron x Pantone yarn, colourway Blueberry :)
Thanks you made my miserable crochet project look easy
Brilliant!
In the second technique, are you inserting your hook into the back bump of the first chain?
Love😍 the Useful information.🤑 Very valuable information.
You are awesome. Tfs.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!
That is awesome 👏
Brilliant! X
Wowww thank you for sharing this method... my crocheting day will be easier after this... i dont know why i always twist my foundation chain😅😅🤣🤣🤣
Very clever!
Mannnnnnn, that last one just saved me.
This video has a lot of potential. In the future use a BRIGHT color yarn that contrasts with your dark hook and neutral background. Otherwise we can't see a thing you're doing.
Method 2: when you place your hook into the first chain, are you placing it into the back bump again? You don't say, but that's what it looks like.
I think she put it in back bump like the first example. This is great when you want starting edge to look like ending edge.
What about insuring second row doesn't twist as well. Can you go a step further and demonstrate maybe the second row with a double crochet of 120 chains in a round?
I have to stitch 120 chains so I used the second method and my project is still coming out twisted... any suggestions
Thank you
I'm sorry, but couldn't tell exactly where you inserted the hook into the first chain! (I'm using a small tablet, so it's harder to see!) I'd appreciate your explanation!!! 💕
Thanks😊
Would this be the same if you’ve done a row of single crochets too? When I join to the first stitch it is off 😢
👍👍, great

What if you’ve already done 2 rows of mesh stitches
It still twisted when I did the second option.
What happens when youre workong on trebles
Do you have a technique for joining a 100 stitch foundation half double crochet in the round I can’t get mine straight
Im having the same problem making trebles, I have restarted 6x and each time the work comes out twisted
I don’t know what I’m doing but when I get done with stitches there’s a twist
Great ideas! A lighter color yarn would have Gwen easier to see.

Brilliant!!!! Thank you ❤
