@@okipullup6886 The inception of a major moment in nomadic history besides the preceding nomadic civilizations (Huns, Scythians, Rourans, etc) was kickstarted by Chinggis Khan during the Medieval Era. For us Mongolians, he is seen as one of our greatest military geniuses (akin to Alexander the Great) and the ultimate forger of a unified identity during an uncertain time. Instead of remaining as fragmented tribes engaged in constant infighting with each other, we decided to unify under one umbrella term: Mongol. You can be of any (nomadic only) ethnic origin, but you will serve and exist as a Mongol - thus, a state called Mongolia still exists today, despite incursion from other empires/states. So yes, it was a pretty big deal, but we are aware that he was a warmonger, and a violent one at that.

Throat singing is so non-western, and I find it mesmerizing.
What's great about this remix is the fact, that it not tries to imprint its style onto the song and make it their own. Instead it merely adds a new flavour to the song, that overall just feels natural. You could totally believe, that the song was always meant to be that way and that is an amazing feat.

I think this kind of content is fantastic. I think our musical heritage is very important and this keeps the spirit of the original piece while broadening the audience that would listen to this song. I think it's a great way to help preserve this music even if it does have a modern touch added to it.

As a fan of Genghis Khan I came here to hear this singer extolling the virtues of the great conqueror. End result: was not disappointed hearing his praises being sung on a digital platform worldwide while being filmed on the steppes 500 years after he died.
Any Mongolian rap you would recommend to fellow world rap aficionado?
There were a collaboration years ago between a Russian music artist and a Tuvan throat singing group which popularised this type of singing and paved for artists like the one above to bring forth their arts and culture to the world. This reminds me of Malerija and Huur Huur Tu. I was blessed to have saw them live on stage in the summer of 2007 in a music festival.

There was a collab years ago between a Russian music artist and a Tuvan throat singing group which popularised this type of singing to the masses. I was blessed to witnessed these men live on stage in the summer of 2007 at the Rainforest World Music Festival (RWMF) in Kuching. Malerija and Huun Huur Tu are their names.

My mum and I are so blessed to have came across this song and it’s brought great comfort at an upsetting time 🧡. Our senior ginger tabby cat has recently crossed over on the 25th august, his name is kiff kiff 🐈🧡 .
This video popped up in our UA-cam suggestions and we are amazed by the cat on screen, the kiff hoody and the channel/band in collaboration being called the kiffness.
After further looking, Genghis Khan’s date of death was the 25th august, the same date kiff crossed over. We take this as a beautiful sign and confirmation that kiff is happy, and still around sending us amazing messages 🧡 what a beautiful song and we are honoured to have found this and it now shares a special place in our hearts aswell as a funky beat to jam to in kiffs honour 🧡.
